DH flicked her tail back and forth as she walked, moving up the hill toward Sanctuary with all the confidence she could muster. Staying so close to the former school she had never actually gone to investigate the new place until now.
Stopping near the gates she stared through the bars at the buildings inside and hesitated, reaching for the bars.

 Shiro slipped out of the shadows and made his way towards the Sanctuary. He knew - he'd known ever since it had reopened - that Sparrow was likely there. He knew he really should find her. Some who had been host to a Malice might find it odd that he would seek out the monster who had occupied his mind for so long, but he didn't care. What he and Sparrow had was strange and special... and if he had to hear echoes of her voice, then let it actually be her voice. He stood, midway up the hill, and hesitated. He still hesitated, even now, to enter that structure. Once, he'd been a student there. Once, it had been home. Now, though, he wasn't so sure. "Good evening." he called to a shape silhouetted against the bars of the building, approaching. Midnightspirit Takes you up on that offer <3

 DH cocked her ears back at the sudden voice behind her. She had been so distracted by what she was going to do once she got here that she had blocked off most of the world. Chuckling softly at herself she turned to look at who had called out. Hm, a younger meta? Could be a true elf but it was a high likelihood that who ever was around here was a meta. "Good evening! " she called back, her smile faltering for a moment before regaining its cheerfulness.
Darkness, she could see it clinging to his soul with her other sight and on one so young too. But considering everything that metas have gone through it wasn't surprisin. Perhaps that is why he was here, to be safe. "How are you? Do you live here?" She asked continuing as if she had seen nothing wrong, and truthfully a little curious of the residents.

Was it safe to approach? Apparently it was - the Elf strode forward confidently but cautiously, until he was a few paces away. "I am well." he said politely, "How are you, this all-hallows eve?" his pace slowed - he wanted to join them by the gates, but he wasn't sure. Something about how they were looking at him... it made him vaguely uneasy. "I did... once." he looked at the night-shrouded grounds, "But not now. What about you?"

"Well, doing quiet well. Just here satisfying my curiosity and you? " she motioned to the other side of the gate with a wing, looking faintly surprised when it opened at her touch.
"Well then" she looked faintly amused before looking back to the elf, noting the formality in his speech with only a hint of curiosity. "Fliers in town said there was a ball here for metas as well as a place of safety for anyone in need..." she trailed off looking at him in askance as he mentioned having been a resident here. Sanctuary still seem like a dream come true, a dream that many research centers have been preying on to get more "samples" that it was hard sometimes to know what was true or not.

No point in lying. No reason to do so, after all. "Ah, well, I saw those same fliers. It seemed intriguing..." He hesitated, "I was thinking about going inside." Shiro said, though he sounded disheartened. Here, standing at the gates, he felt resistant to the idea of actually stepping in. Just like he had the time before, and the time before that. The lights and sounds of the ball, just audible in the whispy fall night, seemed to mock his uncertainty. "Will you be going inside?"

"Yep, want to join me?" she smiled encouragingly as she held out her hand. Even if she could see the hint of darkness around him it didn't mean that he was going to do anything bad right now.
"We might be an hour late but I don't think anyone will mind" she said quietly but confidently. " I'm DH and you?"
