When Lauretta wants to be smart and when she feels like answering questions or if she is asked and she knows the answer to the question she will give the answer. Lauretta sees the world differently compared to her sister, Amelia, Lauretta is more open minded towards the world and she knows the world has different doors to open and those doors are waiting for her to open then to see what it has in store for her.
Lauretta has bubbly personality, she always try to smiles around people and tries to make them happy or make them laugh when they are sad.
She tries to make friends with everyone, as she knows it’s better to have friends than enemies. Growing up Lauretta’s father and mother use to tell her it was rude to judge a person from the outside, as it is better to get to know the person on the inside. From that day Lauretta has gotten to know people from the inside and not by the way they look.
Lauretta is grateful that her sister is around to help her through the tough times and to be their for her with the good times as well. Together the two make their sisterly bond stronger each day.
Lauretta has also been described as a bit of a book worm as she loves reading books.
She has also been taught to take pride in what she believes in and she can do anything that she has set her mind to. Lauretta has also been taught to respect her elders around her.
My background story is
Lauretta Jane Reddington was born in Oxford to Walter Reddington and Sophie Reddington nee Vallet. Lauretta's father is a muggle and her mother was a former Hufflepuff student. She has one sister Amelia Jade Reddington a former Slytherin student. Lauretta was a happy child growing up in Oxford where her father worked as a Chemistry professor at Oxford University and her mother was a spell inventor. When Lauretta was little her father would sit her on his lap and read her fairy tale stories. Just after Lauretta's tenth birthday her parents got into a horrible car accident where they both was killed instantly by a driver than was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. After Lauretta and Amelia's parents passed away, Amelia stepped up to being Lauretta guardian and the two started becoming closer to each other. Amelia and Lauretta still have their disagreements and still yell at each other on odd occasions. Amelia and Lauretta moved to London just after their parents funeral because Amelia wanted a fresh start and also thought it would be better for her sister in the long run as Lauretta would be off to start her education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lauretta is looking forward to go to Hogwarts and meet new people that she may end up being or making long term friends with. Lauretta does miss her friends from Oxford but understands why her sister and her moved as Amelia couldn't be around the memories of their childhood home after their parents passed away. Lauretta hopes her sister finds some friends her own age and hopefully find a job as well.
First Year: Lauretta had a interesting first year she made a couple of friends. She enjoyed class expect for flying but she did it thanks to Hirkau. She was sorted into Hufflepuff just like her mum. As the second anniversary of her parent's death is coming up Lauretta doesn't know how she's going to be able to handle it without Amelia being around.
Second Year: Lauretta's second year at Hogwarts went horrible She barely showed up to class because she spent most of it crying because her parents were gone for two years and now she's finally dealing with the grief for it. She didn't see much of her friends at all as she spent allot of it hiding away. Amelia is going to get a tutor to help her catch up on the work the she missed.
Third Year: Lauretta caught up on her work that missed. She started understanding her grief with a help of a therapist. She attended class more and studied hard. Started to figure out herself again. Lauretta found out she had a cousin on her mother's side that should be coming school next year. Lauretta and her sister moved in with their uncle Carlos and cousin Willow to have support while still dealing with grief from the death of their parent's.
Fourth Year: Lauretta managed to keep up with her work. She saw her best friend more. The Halloween event at school made Lauretta scared of turkeys because of a student dressing up as one.
