Quote: For a single night, strange bats descended on Destiny City after construction disturbed their nest! They flew over Destiny City's Fall Festival and a few nearby locations, descending on the local populace and attacking anyone they could. Being bitten by these bats leaves two small marks that will itch for a few hours. Then, anyone bitten will feel exhausted and fatigued. They become extremely sensitive; skin feels like it becomes overheated in sunlight, and bright lights are painful to the eyes. The victim will feel constantly cold and hungry, no matter how much they eat or drink. They may also be prone to agitation and bouts of violence. These afflictions may last only a few hours or a few days and then suddenly disappear. Destiny City can find no explanation for the sickness, and it has been unofficially dubbed 'The Vampire Sickness'. If you were bitten, how are you handling this? Is someone you know suffering the affliction? Are you convinced it's a conspiracy or joke, and just media frenzy? Disturbed a nest of bats her a**. It'd been a few days since the whole fiasco. Beneath the fabric covering one of her arms, she could still feel the itch from one of the bites she'd gotten when she'd been trying to shove the creatures away from Alex. <******** been a... bit more aggressive in the last few days. The doctors told her it wasn't rabies, her one cornel of good news apparently. News and social media'd been crowing about The Vampire Sickness and she'd been groaning about apparently she was now part of some horrific YA book. Great.
She'd nearly passed out in the sunlight a few times. Made her far more interested in prowling around at night. Just kinda sucked that all the lights on at night kinda hurt her eyes. And she was guzzling down water and food like crazy. She knew she had a damn good metabolism but the <******** Morgan was sipping almost grudgingly at a large--like... 3X--cup of hot chocolate. Or well. Irish hot chocolate. That little extra kick to try and help smooth out her prickly mood. The partial metal skirt frame clinked against the rooftop where she sat, one knee up for her chin to rest on, the other leg swinging over the precarious edge.
Her head tilted after a moment, teeth digging a bit into the plastic lid of her drink as she averted her eyes from the streets below to the rooftops around her. Another energy nudged at her senses. She was still getting used to this... Didn't feel like the two she was used to though. Or at least. They felt uh. Not as strong as this one.
Wasn't a Chaos aura. That alone was both a soothing balm and an aggravation. She could have used a punching bag right about now...
"Y'know, for as long as I've been living in this backwards city, the holiday seasons here always seem to bring out the worst of the world. Wouldn't ya say?" She shot the words towards the other before taking a few more sips of her warm alcoholic beverage.

Sabine was miserable. Sun hurt, lights hurt. She could barely get any sleep and what sleep she did was restless. She was gorging herself on food and drink like it was going out of style. This "Vampire Sickness" which she had to admit was a stupid name, was driving her absolutely... batty. Hah. She was still super pissed at whatever had brought those beasts out of their lair... They had ruined a perfectly good "not date" and she was still bitter about that. She did however, welcome the other Order aura, and had diverted herself to land near it after a few leaps. She had recently upgraded to Super, and she was still getting a hang of the boosted agility from it. It made carrying her bag easier, the small backpack resting over one shoulder that contained her thermos of tea, snacks, and first aid kit... Along with a few other useful tools. "I have noticed that, yes," Sabine said, keeping her eyes averted from the light. "Sabine, Super Senshi of Tactics, and you are?"

When the other senshi approached, Morgan cast her another look, giving a mental few points for the uniform--though lifted a brow at the bag. Really? Sure these things didn't come with pockets but c'mon...
Well. Apparently the girl was a bit of a girlscout, she figured, the sphere matching the preparations if the girl felt the need to carry around a bag. "Morgan, Senshi of Gateways. Nice t' meet 'cha, Sabine." She said the greeting in a sing-song voice, a high contrast to her mood.
It was easy to fake cheer. Wasn't the girl's fault her head was killing her from the lights and she was pretty sure she'd need another drink soon...
"What's with the bag? That's gotta be hella annoying when you've got to fight. I'd have expect someone to run off with it."

"I try to stash it when I feel a Chaos aura, worse case I smack them with it a few times and then try to toss it somewhere I can get it later. But it's useful, it's not like we really have a lot of room to carry things..." She said, nodding her head at the cup that Morgan was holding. "It is very nice to meet you Morgan," Though her voice was... flatter, than it would be normally. There was something patently false about Morgan and Sabine couldn't put her finger on it. But her aura checked out so that wasn't it. Crouching down, she placed the bag on the ground and unzipped it, pulling out her thermos and pouring herself some tea. Then she pulled out some of the snake cakes she had brought with her this trip and offered a package to Morgan. "Cupcakes?" Might as well keep the energy going, lord knew she was flagging that night.

Morgan nodded her head vaguely. Sabine did get her to give a genuine laugh at the image of the kid beating a Nega agent with her bag, so there was that at least. When Sabine nodded towards Morgan's own cup, she sighed. "Yeah debating if it's worth it to bring it back with me to my place and carry it around for the night, or drop it off somewhere where it'll be recycled... buy a new one another time." The cup itself was reusable. She'd bought it before she powered up, as it was the only way to get the amount of liquid she felt like she'd need for the night... without just stealing from a convince store every few minutes.
"Oh. Thanks." Blue eyes stared in bewilderment at the offered snacks, blinking a few times before a partially gloved hand moved out to take the treat. Thermos and snacks. Yep. Girlscout.
Hey but she offered one of the best treats out there so. Legitimate points towards her. Morgan set her cup down on the ledge beside her as she carefully opened up the package and got herself out one of the white-swirled cupcakes. She took a bite and swayed a little side to side where she sat, a delighted smile on her face. Swallowing, she laughed, "Been a while since I've had one of these, thanks."
Glancing to Sabine, she rolled a question through her head before letting it pop from her lips. "Where you there when those creatures attacked? The bats?" Sabine said she was a Super Senshi... so, depending on how long she'd been around...

The sigh was loud, it was annoyed, and Sabine's cheeks instantly puffed out in what had to be vexation. "Yes, I was there... Having a wonderful time, quite enjoying myself... and they ruined it... " She exploded out with a huff of air. "If it hadn't been so crowded I'd of powered up." She said with another grousing grumble. "But it was too risky and I... had a non powered friend with me." Yeah, power up in front of the boy she liked... YEAH that would so fly well she was sure that he would totally want to hang out with the super heroine. Nope. She knew him well enough to know that he'd probably bolt at that point, she'd read enough of the comics he'd suggestion, played some of the games he'd suggested... She could already see that it would seem like an actual story-line for him and... He'd run to not become the next victim of some crazed super-villain. And she couldn't blame him if he did. Shaking her head. "I assume you were as well?" She asked, nibbling her own cake as she settled down against the roof, being careful to ensure the shorter skirt still covered as much thigh as possible.

Morgan gave a sympathetic wince, nodding along with a grim look on her face as Sabine went into her mini rant about the whole fiasco. But she gave a particular "Oh s**t... eesh," when the other girl mentioned having been there with a non-powered friend. Yeah. That might not have gone over well. Everyone had ranging reactions to this s**t...
"Did what you had to... though I'm starting to really not see the point of hiding this s**t." Of course, when Sabine tossed it back onto Morgan, the other senshi's face darkened.
"They went after my kid sister." Her voice was venomous, the package cracking and crinkling under her grip... but she at least didn't smush the last cupcake. After a moment, she gave a snort. "Least they bit me and not her. Y'hear what they're calling it? Vampire Sickness. ********' lovely. We're the new stars of Twilight or Vampire Diaries... And Bloody Marys do not hit the spot. Nor does tomato juice." Her nose crinkled at that memory. She'd been drunk after those Bloody Marys and pissy about feeling so wrong... Hell if this kept up, she might go find a particular homicide detective and uh.
Get a bit more into the um. Holiday season, so to speak.

Sabine winced. "My younger brother wasn't there, or if he was Mom and Dad didn't tell me they were going... in either case I'm sorry. I'm glad she didn't get bitten..." She took a long sip of her tea, shuddering a bit. "This sickness definitely... is not fun." She grumbled. She looked up at the other woman and tilted her head a bit. "I'm hating this edgy feeling... I'm snippy at everyone and nobody deserves it... It's gotten to the point I don't talk to the cat that lives with me so that I don't yell at him for doing... you know... cat things. Oh... Guardian cat... I mean." Yeah, because she didn't talk to animals... yeaaah.

Morgan gave a small laugh. "s**t that family fun events are now liable to be dangerous or deadly for people just wanting to have a good time. Glad your family didn't get hurt, if they did happen to be there."
She laughed though at the notion that the girl was snappy at anyone. But she only smiled at the mention of the cat--and clarification. "Guess I should say you're lucky people aren't chocking your moods up to time of the month jokes, but won't do you much good to clam up. If you snap, just apologize. If they get you're sick with this s**t, they'll cut you slack once you own up to what you did. Ain't an excuse to be a b***h, but it'll blow over." Christ hopefully... Morgan slowly ate the last cupcake, crumpling up the wrappers and stuffing them in under the three-eyed bird skull at her hip before taking another swing of her drink.
"Cat that kinda hangs at my place just banters back when I snap at 'im, and if I'm feeling bad after I just give him a bunch of sweets and trinkets--fecking magpie, that one--and hot chocolate. Think it does the trick to show I'm sorry."

Sabine laughed at that shaking her head. "Most people have learned that I tend to just curl up in bed to die when that roles around... It's terrible and I wish it didn't happen." She said with a grumble. "The cat at my place is a bit of an old man... But he's sweet in his own way. So far I've just been letting him have run of my dorm since... well... Worse case I get yelled at for having a pet." She made a face at that. "I mean, possibly get expelled, but we talked about that. So I'm sure he'll be have." Or so she hoped. Still... it was nice to be able to talk to someone who understood both woman things and powered things... Sabine could feel herself opening up more to the strangely uniformed Senshi. She would have to get her number.

The senshi phones made it easy to exchange said numbers. Morgan didn't see the harm in it, and the kid was nice. She was still trying to understand other parts in this war. She knew her stance against the Negaverse--ha....--but other senshi? Hell if she knew.
She knew... two others. Now three.
And the s**t with the bats was making her dislike things even more. But if it lead to a nice convo about... relatively normal s**t, and an awesome treat? Eh. She could live with it.
True to her nature, she'd even made a horrible joke about how Sabine's uniform all least made any leaks impossible to see. Bonus! Which lead to her wondering aloud how the <********> the uniforms dealt with that sort of stuff. Magical pads?
Maybe the kid would regret exchanging numbers with Morgan, but at least for the moment, the purple and red senshi was laughing instead of wincing at the pain from the lights or hissing from the mood swings. Silver lining to it all. Who'd have figured they actually existed now and then?
