October is halfway over and that means one thing: Halloween! Shops are decorating, neighbors are covering their homes in fake spiderwebs, and pumpkin patches are showing up everywhere! Some neighbors seem to be avoiding the holiday and those have become targets for a few pranks. So what are you doing to get ready for Halloween Night?
Amigar was so excited for Halloween! It was a strange time of year that was for sure. Though at the same time it was one of her favorites. She could see the houses around the block decorating for Halloween, as she walked home from school. One house was covered in bones, almost like it was the beginning of a bone graveyard. Bones, headstones, and cobwebs were beginning to form. It looked so creepy in the day light but still so beautiful as the fog rolled over it. If Halloween had a full moon she could just imagine that ghouls and ghost that may rise from the head stones. Fake or not in the movies Halloween seemed to bring life to everything creepy no matter where it was. After all she was sure at least one of these homes was built on top of a graveyard or sacred burial place of some sort.
It was then she had a bell begin to ring in her head! Why wasn't she a part of the decorating? After all she had two places that could use some spooky in there lives! As soon as she thought that she stopped in her place and high tailed it to her nearest arts and craft store. Which with her luck happened to actually be right around the corner from where she was. It took her a little sprinting to get to the store but the moment she did - she grabbed a cart. Her Halloween fun was just about to begin!
She grabbed purple, orange, black flowers from the fabric flower section. Enough to fill around 20 vases. after that she raced to the Halloween section of the store - which was so crowded. She squeezed through, "Excuse me!" she said as she reached her arm to grab some orange and black vases off the shelf before they disappeared. Then as quick as she could she grabbed cobwebs, little spiders, bones of all kinds, acrylic paint, wood pieces, and last but not least some white fabric. Her mind was flowing with all the ideas she had cooking! She could not wait to get started on making Halloween become alive in her home and second home the bakery.
She hummed walking along the path as she slowly reached her house with more bags then she could definitely carry, but thankful adrenaline kicked in and see did it. She reached for her keys unlocked the door and quickly dropped all the bags in her family's giant living room. Her ideas were all rattling around in her head. Flowers for all of her family's bakery's tables - after all even the french believe in ghost stories. Since they had a lot start there - or so her dad told her anyways. After the vases with spiders and webs shadowing the flowers, she planned to make a witches haunting happen in her family's front yard. She quickly started to work - since she only had 2 days before her parents arrived home and she couldn't wait to see the look on their face when they saw her Halloween gift.
