She'd still hadn't gotten a text from Regina and decided she'd had enough of the festival and after all the bats and nonsense she was just going to go back to Regina's place and be done with it. She sent her friend a text that she would be there and headed away from the festival grounds. She still ached and the scratches and small bites she'd received from the bats itched like crazy.
Rubbing her arms she headed down one of the smaller streets, paying more attention to the map on her phone than where she was actually going. It wasn't like there were actually that many people out anymore with all the spectators and news crews congregating by the festival grounds.
She -really- wanted to avoid that. The last thing she needed was for either of her parents to see her on the news involved with some other crazy nonsense. After the Surrounding she'd -never- hear the end of it, she hadn't even heard the end of that.

Stellerite had no idea what had happened during the festival, having opted out of it to work on her latest amazon-worthy story. When she'd finished, she had decided to leave her cozy apartment and see what type of fresh meat might've been on the menu for her. Ever since the debacle with Lucas and that stupid page, she'd been a little more hesitant to dive right back into things.
But Stella was a performer and Destiny City was her stage.
It didn't take her too long to stumble upon someone all on their lonesome and the woman looked cold. Which gave the lieutenant the perfect opening.
"You're looking a little chilly sweetheart, why don't we get acquainted."

It took a moment for her to register the voice she heard was most likely talking to her and she looked up, brow raised. "Wow, that was an awful pick up line. And from a lady no less." Of course you knew people got catcalled and everything but she was pretty sure no one had ever done that to her and she knew a woman hadn't ever. "I'm sorry, not interested." She eyed the woman before sidestepping her so she could continue down the sidewalk. It wasn't even Halloween but maybe the crazies were coming out a bit early this year.

Stellerite clucked her tongue in disappointment, the flicker of a carefully place frown on her lips before she was grinning sharp and predatory like. "Oh, I don't think you understand," the woman cooed, voice dripping with something too sweet to be genuine. "It's not an option."
Stella debated informing the woman that she wasn't interested in anything from the woman outside of energy, but that would take some of the fun out of it.
Stepping closer, Stella didn't give the woman much space and had chosen to directly block her path so that she'd have to shove past her. "Come on, why do you have to be so sour?" She reached a hand out to grab at one of the woman's wrists. "I don't want to hurt you, but I will."

"What the ... what is wrong with you." She tried to dodge the woman's hand but didn't quite manage it and fortunately the strange woman hadn'd grabbed the hand her phone was in but that didn't make it as easy to dial. "Yea, how about you let go or we see how many police officers show up when I hit this nice little button on my phone?" She really didn't want to add assult to the things that happened while she was on vacation. Why couldn't Regina have just answered her text? "Look lady. I don't think you understand that if you dont get your hand off me I wont be the one getting hurt."

The Lieutenant didn't look phased by her threats, the sweet and dangerous smile still present on her painted lips. "Oh, I'm going to have to advise you against that," she said, smugness thick in her voice as her fingers wrapped tightly along Jocelin's wrist.
"You see," she started slowly, holding up her other hand so that her palm faced the sky. "I don't think you're gonna have the energy to do that when we're done here." With a bit of concentration, Stellerite began to pull energy from her victim. This wasn't as fun as making out with a target, but she'd already been rebuffed and, in all honestly, she really didn't dig women that way.
She just liked to toy and flirt.
In her exposed hand, a small orb was beginning to form. "Now, why don't you put that pesky phone away before I'm forced to break it."

She really, really, had enough of weird things happening for the day. If the bats hadn't been enough this weird lady hitting on her and grabbing her was the last straw. She already didn't feel well from the earlier scratches and now the weirdo was doing something else strange to her. She was done with all this. She had escaped it, she'd thought it was all out of her life which is why she'd agreed to come back and visit Regina. It was over. Now she was being attacked by cartoonishly large bats and now some crazy woman that was doing something strange to her body. This wasn't fair and she wasn't going to let it happen to her anymore! "Stop it!" She snarled before deciding a possibly broken phone was worth getting the woman to let her go. With her hand curled around the phone she reeled back with that arm and took a swing at the weirdo. Half way through the arch her phone began to feel hot and for a moment she thought it was going to burn through her hand. Everything went white for a moment, the sensation of the weirdo holding her and the street under her feet fading, before everything rushed back with enough force to make her head spin. Instead of the phone heading for the woman's head there was now a small wooden hammer and Jocelin could see an arm holding it that was definitely wearing gloves that she hadn't been wearing a moment ago.

Stellerite had let go, sighing as she stepped back in an attempt to dodge the phone being weaponized against her. Her gaze diverted enough, as her heel caught on a crack in the concrete, that she missed the shift from civilian to page.
When she looked up, having managed to keep from falling to the ground she scowled. "Not again," she whined, stomping a foot like an upset child. This was the second time a perfectly good toy had been ruined by something as distasteful as order. "I can't catch a break!" She huffed, pulling her lanyard from subspace and using it to try and whack at this page girl.
It wasn't a very effective weapon, but it at least meant she could try and keep her distance.

Her hand, the hammer, not connecting with anything made her stumble forward a step and as she tried to catch her footing she looked down at herself. She was in a strange, though oddly familiar, outfit that wasn't what she'd been wearing before and her phone had disappeared to be replaced with what she swore was her great-grandfathers mallet. "Merde ...." She looked like one of the damn weirdos from the Surrounding. Did that mean she -was- one of those weirdos? Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the crazy lady's voice and she looked up. "Can you shut up for two minutes? Or ... you're one of them ... those ... whatever they were called." They'd had a name, the soldier they'd met in the Surrounding had given them a name but she couldn't remember what it was. And this wasn't really the time for it either. "How about you just ... go play with someone else and let me have my existential crisis alone hm? Then I don't have to break your pretty nose." Because she would if she had to but all she wanted to do was get back to Regina's and make all of whatever this was go away.

Stellerite breathed through her nose, trying to tamp her irritation about the fact that her recent attempt at meeting her quota was once again foiled by some beginner knight. It was agitating and wholly unfair.
Between both hands, her lanyard was strung tight with gloved fingers wrapping around the end. Blue eyes were narrowed and an otherwise pretty face had been twisted into a scowl as she looked at the other woman.
"I'd like to see you try," she sneered, taking a step forward she lashed out with the lanyard in a manner that made a cracking sound as she let an end go. "I don't think I'm finished with you yet."

"You think I'm scared of a little piece of fabric?" She shifted her feet to get them back under her, eyes narrowing. "Lady. I work in a forge. If I don't worry about dropping molten steel on my feet I'm not worried about a little snapping fabric." She wasn't really sure the hammer in her hand could do much. If it was what she thought it was then it was probably too delicate to actually hit the woman with. But at least it was wood even if it was probably all soft with age and having been hung above the quenching buckets. "I think you are done with me cause I was done with you before all this started."

This had worked out so much better with that stupid Earth knight.
Once again, Stellerite was reminded of why she was the bait and someone else was the muscle. Wrinkling her nose and rolling her eyes, she drew the hand with the lanyard back and tried to punch the newly awoken page.
The lieutenant knew how to fight, she just preferred not to.
The fist was aimed for the page's face but there wasn't near enough force behind it. Quickly after she retreated, trying to weigh her options a little bit.
Was it worth the potential scuffle, or should she bail out?
Bailing out and finding an easier target seemed more appealing but...

She saw the fist coming and managed to get her arm up, taking it on her padded sleeve and laughing. "Wow, you even punch like the priss you look like." She stuffed the hammer handle into her belt, glad there seemed to be a place for it and cracked her knuckles. It was cliche but it usually worked when someone wanted to pick on her or her friends. "Bet you've never seen what you look like with a black eye. Wanna find out?" She crooked a finger to see if she could get the lady to attack her again. She bet one well timed fist anywhere would make her go away.

She should've convinced Epi to patrol with her, but he was busy playing some game and her other options had been preoccupied too. This sucked.
Biting down on her lip, she clenched her fists and decided to take a step back. There was a very large part of her that wanted to fight the other woman, and she could she was sure she could, but at the same time. Would it be worth risking her pretty face when there wasn't someone to bail her out if things got rough?
She could always call for Ascendant-General Alkaid but...
"Oh," she shook her head and if she were a bird her feathers would've certainly been ruffled. "This isn't over," she huffed, before turning on her heel and taking off.

"That's cause I'm gonna break your nose next time!" She shouted after the retreating woman. Part of her was tempted to chase after her, maker her regret starting something she wasn't willing to finish, but the other part of her just wanted all this to go away.
As she sighed and relaxed she saw the blinding light again and when she came back to herself she was back in her normal clothes and her phone was safely tucked into a pocket.
"... Putain." She had no idea how she was going to explain all this.
