He'd already had one interview for night, he met up with Katie shown her the picture's he'd taken of some the damage, some of the bats laying about and people waiting to treated by the paramedics. There were plenty of them. They need more interviews and more pictures to choose from of course, so they split again to finish up for the night, finding more people to talk to. There were a lot of people there, many with scratches and bites ... the bites were the most strange. He wondered if they were vampire bats, but he'd sworn they never went after people. He shook his head and made his way around camera in hand in case a good photo opportunity came up.

Myles was already naturally pale, but after he became an unwilling bat-snack, he was looking much worse. He had already gotten two shots and didn't look like this was the way he'd been planning on spending his evening. On the bright side, he'd been plenty of cookies and juice. He presently had an ice pack planted against the side of his neck and over his shoulder. He was trying to stay out of the way; he was sitting on the ground and resting his back against an emptied stall. He was by himself now, but only because he'd had to shoo his brother away twice after assuring he was fine. Jeremy had his own duties to attend to and Myles didn't want to distract him while there were still people who needed help.
For now, Myles was just exhausted. Now that his adrenaline was fading he just wanted to go home and sleep--it was just taking forever for him to be cleared to leave.

Ryan spotted the other on the ground by the emptied stall, he snapped a quick picture because the scent the guy presented was golden and approached him slowly, not terribly sure the guy was up for talking, but he was alone and didn't look as panicked as some of the others. Tired, yes, but fleeting no. "Hello," he said his camera dangle at his side for a moment. "I take it you were caught up in the bat attack." "Do you mind if I talk to you about what happened," he said not introducing himself just yet, but his press badge attached to his jacket was a dead giveaway with the papers name scrawled across it.

Myles glanced up and smiled immediately; it seemed almost instinctive, but if it was a fake smile he did a good job presenting it. "Ah, yeah, the bats," he said, laughing a bit uncertainly.
His eyes drifted to the press badge and he seemed to debate for a moment before his gaze lifted back to the man's face.
"If you'd like, I don't mind. How long have you been doing journalism?" he asked, tilting his head to try and read the name of the paper on the badge.

Ryan was surprised to see the guy smile at him when most were so shaken up. As a photographer it got a little easier to see a smile that wasn't terrible genuine. It was certainly convincing all the same, he figured. He was ready to ask a few question as inexperienced as he was with the actual interview and article writing part of the process. He's expected question, but how long he'd been doing this wasn't one of them. "I'm actually a photojournalist and I've not been doing this very long. Just a few months, but my partner and I seem to be doing well for ourselves and the editor is happy with our work." He knelt down at level and pulled his tablet out, getting the pen ready so he could take notes. "First, things first, could I get your name, then we can talk about what you remember about the night, before the bats attacked. Everything seem normal? A run of the mill night?"

”Oh,” Myles replied, seeming to relax just a bit more upon learning a bit about Ryan. “I wouldn’t have guessed you haven’t been doing this for very long. You seem like you know what you’re doing!”
His smile remained, but he took a slightly more relaxed posture.
“My name is Myles,” he answered, brows furrowing a second later as he tried to figure out where to start. “I think it was normal? Everyone seemed like they were enjoying the festival. One minute, things were fine, and the next there were bats all over the place. I don’t even remember seeing them come in. Do you know if they found out where they came from? I’d heard it was some construction thing or something--that they disturbed their cave? ...But those bats were really big,” Myles said; he laughed in an effort to dispel some of his unease. He didn’t think he’d get the idea of giant bats out of his head soon enough not to have some wicked nightmares.
“Seems like that many would be hard to miss, especially at that size. But I don’t know much about bats and, to be honest, right now I’m not sure I want to have much more to do with them!”

Ryan gave a laugh, "Thank you, that make me feel more at ease. It's likely because I've a lot of experience working with people being a photographer. My final study in college was on motion especially how lighting effected the perseption of it. Ive photographed a lot of people." He nodded as Myles spoke and made notes of other questions to ask as he taking down what the other said. "From what I've gathered the construction workers disturbed the nest, yes. Animals are not very tolerant of such things. Though I find it odd they descended upon the festival. Your would think that they just attack the workers and maybe the machinery. I intend to check out the site, but I think I ought to wait for daybreak." "I've heard that a lot too, everyone seems to be saying they were quite large in size. Ive seen and taken a few pictures of smaller ones that met their demise, but I have run across the larger ones." "When they attacked is there anything you remember in pareticular about it or again was there anything that stands out?"

“You want to go over to where their nest is?” Myles asked, seeming surprised. “Aren’t you afraid there might be more over there? They might not be so kind of you try to disturb them again. Though,” he cleared his throat. “Maybe they’ve all gone, I suppose? I don’t know where else they could be hiding.”
It was a segue into answering Ryan’s question. “They were very large. I mean, there were some at the end that were huge. I didn’t get a very good look at them, they were sort of swarming. One got me,” he added, as if apologetically. “He had a very good grip. The teeth felt...like pincers. When I pulled at him, he wouldn’t let go. I guess I lost a lot of blood from it, but I can’t say that I remember much more that stood out. It felt like any ordinary day? I didn't even see them coming until they were right in front of us.”

Ryan laughed and nodded, "yes, but like I said I'm going to wait until daybreak. I've no desire to be attacked if they are and most, maybe all bats are nocturnal. Can't take everyones word thats where they came from." He made a face at the mention of huge bats, " on that note I should ask for an estimate on the actual size of the bats, in feet if you please. I've got an estimate from another witness which isn't very believable if I'm honest." His went to the ice pack the other had assuming it hid the bit he'd gotten. "Would you mind terribly if I could see the injury and possibly take a picture?" He had a picture of the other before he walked up, but a complimenting picture of the injury would be rather nice. While for the most part Katie would be writing the article, Ryan's photos would paint one hell of a visual picture.

Myles hesitated at the request to take a picture, but eventually nodded. “I suppose I don’t mind. Not my face, though! I look terrible. My brother will scold me,” he laughed, but there was probably a bit of seriousness to his voice. He lowered the ice pack, revealing a purpling bruise.
He had two bite marks in his neck, deep and apparently trying to clot. His neck was a bit swollen.
“I’ve heard it’s not pretty,” Myles went on to say, “But I haven’t actually seen it, myself. I’m not sure I want to. But, I figure they must have been nasty. The one that got me was...Its wingspan was larger than both my arms, outspread. I’d say the smaller ones were probably about as wide as both my arms outstretched.” He drew his arms out and tried to estimate, “Five, six feet? But the one that bit me was bigger. I don’t know if I could say how much. Eight, maybe? His head was huge. I’m sorry, I don’t know for certain. When I think back on it, even, everything just flashes so quickly.”

Ryan chuckled at the comment about looking terrible, "I will keep your face out of the picture, then bite marks are what is important. Though looking terrible is what will really sell the image, as far painting a picture of this disaster for the paper." He realized he might not be able to use the picture he'd taken moments before, but that was okay with a closeup shot. He pulled his camera up, zooming in and adjusting the focus, before snapping a picture. The tiny holes came up clearly on the cameras screen and hummed at it before turning the camera for Myles to see. "It's not pretty and it will likely bruise pretty badly, but there are worst things in this world." He carefully placed the camera at his side and grabbed his tablet again. "That just, no offense seems very far fetched, but I will check youtube later ... I bet their will be video to back up the claim ... or well suggest something else, like the bat bites being something of a hallucinogen. You statement is definitely in line the with the woman I interviewed." "I suppose that is enough for now though, you look like you could use some medical attention and the ambulances aren't far. I could help you there if you like ... if not for patching up, then at least for some fluids. I think there are volunteers handing out orange juice, much like at a blood drive."

Myles exclaimed in disgust when he saw the bite marks. He leaned in closer and then shook his head and recoiled. “Oh, it’s awful! My skin is crawling. He shuddered, but didn’t seem too distraught. “I think, I’d like to head over there. If you would like to help me, I would be eternally grateful.”
He tried to push himself up to sand straight but wound up wobbling just slightly.
“I’m sorry if my numbers seem off. I’m not very good with estimates, anyway. I’ve heard that when you’re freaked out, things seem so much more threatening. I hope they weren’t extremely miniature bats—I’d never be able to live it down. But I hope you find the information you need and can publish a good article. I’ll keep my eyes out for it—I’d really like to know what happened, too.”

"I can certainly do that," Ryan said reaching out a hand to help steady the wobbly man. "Easy there, blood loss plus standing to quickly isn't something I believe is a good thing. Don't quote me on that though, I'm no doctor." He moved toward the ambulances keeping a hand on Myles shoulder. "It's okay. I have heard that and I can confirm it to be true, but as I doubt you ran into that girl I spoke ..." he said pausing for a moment to see if the other would contradict him. "There must be some truth in it, maybe not so enormous, maybe they were, but definitely not miniature bats. I will keep looking and talking to other's, thank you though. You have been most informative and I hope you enjoy the article and it doesn't bother you too much after this experience." He grinned, he wasn't trying discount what the other said, but he had to be a least a little realistic even if they did live in the city of nightmares, or which he was one of those nightmares. Kyuseisha no Hikari You can fin, thanks for the rp <3
