While you're walking home, the wind suddenly seems to change direction. It gets colder. And if you look behind you, it looks like someone's following you. There, in the distance, a shadowy black figure. If you move towards him, he seems to disappear, but once you turn around again, you can feel him watching you. No matter how far you run, no matter how fast, he always seems to be there when you look over your shoulder. Once you reach your destination and are safely inside, suddenly you can't see him anymore, and after a few harrowing moments the air seems to lift. You're safe, but...what was that all about?

Dria closed the front door of her study partner's house. It was a chilly October night. Dria pulled her jacket closer, and headed out into the darkness. The wind howled loudly as the streetlights flickered ominously. Shivering, she looked at her watch. 9:00 PM. She should be home in fifteen minutes, which would 9:15 PM - fifteen minutes earlier than her curfew - 9:30 PM. She was good on time then. Suddenly, it got quite darker, and her eyes snapped to the direction of the lost light - a streetlight had gone out. The wind shrieked and the hairs on the back of her neck rose in terror. For now, each streetlight was being extinguished with each shriek of the wind, one by one by one.
Dria stood frozen in the dim light of the moon. She sensed someone behind her, and turned to look. A shadowy figure stepped out from behind a tree, not less than 30 feet behind her. It took another step toward her menacingly. "Who's there?" Dria called out, visibly shaken. The figure stepped out into the moonlight, and lifted its face to show her. In shock, she recognized Sailor Etamin's (her twin brother Drew's powered up form) face, with a few small discrepancies and one large one - it was twisted by Chaos. She could feel the evil pouring out from it - the bloodlust - and the fact that he wanted to destroy her. However, this was not her brother. Somehow, it was not something that she could fight. As it lowered its head, it turned back into a shadow. She took a step towards it and it disintegrated into smoke and vanished into the night. She turned around and calmly walked towards home... and yet terror descended upon her once more. She stopped and looked over her shoulder - AND THERE THE FREAKY SHADOW WAS AGAIN!
Dria nearly screamed in fright when she saw the shadow once more. And now as she ran, the world seemed to change around her, to a form of ancient Egypt or some kind of vortex, she couldn't tell - she was too frightened to. She could feel the creature's breath on the back of her neck. She ran faster, and faster in terror. Stealing a look behind her, she saw that it was near close enough to grab her arm. She shrieked in terror and tore away to a side street the streetlights were out there as well. The lights in all the houses were out as well and there was not a person to be seen. Finally, she collapsed at her own family's door, shrieking, sobbing and pounding on the door.
The door opened and warm light poured down on her. Strong, gentle arms wrapped around her, and took her inside. It was her father, and her mother wasn't too far behind. Soothing words were spoken, as they tried to figure out what happened. Her voice, broken by uncontrollable sobs told a sketchy story about the shadow, leaving out the parts about Sailor Scouts. Her parents looked outside, but all the streetlights were on and they could see no menacing shadow. Puzzled, but knowing that she had had a bad scare, they gave her some warm milk and put her to bed, checking on her continuously throughout the night.
Dria finally shook it off, but wondered about it for a long time afterward.
