Rumors are spreading of a traveler who has entered the area. Apparently, this traveler has a strange item they claim comes from a different time. It's hard to believe what people are saying, and the only way to really know what is going on is if you see it with your own eyes. So, you make it a point to travel to where the traveler was last sighted, and as you approach you notice a crowd. The traveler is holding up an object, high above their head, and shouting across the crowd. Some approach to get a closer look, some appear fearful, but everyone can agree...this is something no one has ever seen before.

What exactly is the traveler showing off?

The traveler pulls out a strange piece of metal, wound around and almost bouncy in nature. It seems a bit sharp on the edges, but in general it looks like it could possibly be some sort of jewelry piece, if it was smaller.

It felt so, so good to be back home again. Juahar hadn’t changed but her family had and she was happy to get news of them. They were all happy to see Z’ran and Ziel too, though they were much more curious about her daughter than her husband. Which was to be expected, her daughter was quite to little oddity but she also reveled in the attention and that allowed Alassiel to have more free time for herself. Her family members would look after her daughter which would do well for her relationship with Z’ran. Indeed, following V’dem and Masika on this journey had been a great idea.

What Alassiel really enjoyed though was being around Shifters again. She loved Matori of course but Shifters were her people and it was like being cradled as a child. That’s why she was going to take the time and leave Ziel behind so she could go and visit some of the Shifter markets. Z’ran had wanted to stay home for a bit, relax after their travels so Alassiel decided to go by herself. She brought Raysh along since she hadn’t seen him in a while too and it was also nice to spend some time with him.

Once at the market, Alassiel moved from each stand slowly. She recognized some people and sometimes stopped and had small talk with them. It was nice to see old friends and get news from them. Most of them had families now and she loved seeing how grown up their kids were. Some of them began talking to her about this mysterious traveller who had something they’d never seen before. Something about an item from another time. A time before all of them. Alassiel was a little skeptical, she didn’t know what was before them but she also didn’t like looking back. One had to look to the future not what was behind them. Still, a lot of people seemed to be talking about this thing, were even quite excited about the whole thing. Ally didn’t really have anything else to do that day except some shopping so she decided to go out looking.

The Shifter asked a few people who were crowded together talking about it and they pointed her in the direction they’d last seen the man. She thanked them and moved on, she’d come back to the markets later on. It looked like the man seemed to have settled at the base of a tree and was standing on a large rooting shouting out to the crowd before him. There were quite a few people around him, all in awe at the thing he was holding. Alassiel slinked closer to get a better look.

As Alassiel got closer she eyed the thing he was holding up. It was made of metal and bounced lightly in his hand as he moved and waved it about. It didn’t really look like anything Alassiel had previously seen, but then again the Yaelians were able to turn sand into something so there obviously was much she didn’t know about the world still. Not that she thought she knew everything in the world, but she wondered if he was trying to pass off something Yaelian for something of the past. Because really, how did he know where it came from?

Alassiel shook her head and made a face before turning around. Nope, she didn’t think that thing was from some other time, at least the traveller didn’t have enough evidence for her liking to prove that it was. She shrugged it off as something that was from Yael and since she figured not many had traveled there yet most wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Ally made her way back to the markets for the rest of the day, she picked up a few treats for herself and some of the rest of the family before heading back home.

It was already dinner time by the time she made it back, everyone had settled and the food was steaming hot. Alassiel went and took her place between Z’ran and Ziel, kissing her husband once before turning and doing the same to Ziel on her cheek. The food came out and everyone began digging in, Alassiel listened to the story of her siblings day and their children but she did not mention the odd metal thing she’d seen. She knew her family would never travel outside of Juahar and she didn’t want Ziel to go out looking for the traveller to see what she could find. So, Alassiel was content just eating and listening quietly.
