Ash and Dust were both imbuing- Cinder figured they might as well do the same. Siblings always do things together, right? Besides, the family line should could continue through all three branches. Though they had no plans to keep the stone, oh no. They were just going to pass on the genes and donate the stone to the cache. There was still time to do it before whole thing closed up for a month, and surely no one would be careless enough to pick up a stone and awaken it after the safe month ended. Right?
Not like Cinder really cared either way. Since soulstones were on a nice 1 for 2 sale, they ended up getting two and imbued them partially during September. With breaks in between of course, imbuing was a rather tiring task. Once it was done, they carefully packed up both stones and then dropped them off at the cache for whomever wanted to use them next. There, mission accomplish. All the benefits of passing on genes without the drawbacks of having to deal with children.
And school. That was the biggest issue. Honestly children weren't that bad but they required a lot of attention and Cinder simply didn't have time for it right now. They needed to focus on their studies. They could just... pop in on Ash and Dust's kids if they decided to keep them. They'd probably need the help anyway- to Cinder's knowledge neither of them were seeing anyone so this was going to be a 1 person venture for them.
