STARTS: Sunday October 23rd ENDS: November 1st.... at the first light of dawn
" Welcome my pretties... to my haunted masquerade. You will find that my ballroom has been made over into a brilliant display of all things spooky." The Ringmaster's voice echoed through the ballroom, bouncing off the wall in a manner most fitting the celebration. All around the room was covered in black satin and jack-o-lanterns, their candles giving the room an spooky glow.
"I cannot thank you enough for coming out tonight. I hope you will stay... it can be so dangerous with all the goblins and ghosts lurking about." The Ringmaster stepped out from the shadows where he was hidden, in his arms a tray of glasses filled with a red liquid.
"Please, take a glass and let us celebrate the autumn's glory!" He hands you a glass and raises his own... now is the time to celebrate.

This is an open and lazy RP set in a haunted ballroom. All foods and drinks are present and your characters will be whatever your avi is currently dressed as. So come in your best haunted attire!
The room is round, with a large chandelier in the center. There is music although it is unclear where it is coming from.
The Ringmaster is an NPC and will not be interacting with you. He will do periodic recap posts to help those joining know whats going on. Watch for them!
Come and go as you please, but stay in character!!!!
Try not to bury everything in quotes and images. <3
Follow the guild and gaia TOS.. etc etc... you know how it goes.
Keep the level PG13... although violence/horror is welcome. emotion_dowant

Fore entered the ballroom, standing tall and proud as she surveyed the room. The scattered candles and lanterns accented her gypsy jewelry with a subtle glow, picking up the slightest glimmer as she turned and flipped her flowing orange skirt to reveal torn tights below. She took a few steps before noticing the punch bowl, and went over to get herself a glass.
As she poured it into a champagne glass, the thickness of the punch made it look like blood. Or perhaps it wasn't an illusion? With an evil grin, she took a sip and took in the salty substance, lifting her masquerade mask of a plague doctor to her eyes.

Deffy pranced her way into the ballroom, her pretty pink costume sparkling in the candle light. She grabbed one of the glasses of... whatever the drink was... and took a sip. "Mmmmm yummy!"

Fore turned, body and mask, to look over at the woman who had entered. Her wings were stunning, and curiosity got the best of her. She walked over, a hand to her hip, and pulled a small crystal ball from a burlap sack at her waist.
boove was reluctant to open the door for she was sure it was going to be packed with people by now but sighed happily when it was not the case averting gaze to the floor taking in as much surroundings as possible she walked to the punch table "E-excuse me" said softly reaching for a cup pouring it couldn't help but make a face as it looked like blood swirling it in her cup before taking a small surprised it was actually pretty tasty.

"Oh, I would love one!" Deffy giggled and sipped st her drink. "I hope I get a good one!"

Fore noticed boove shyly take a sip, and beckoned her over. "Come on over, you'll be in for a treat! I'm summoning the spirits to guide us and tell us our fortunes."
Fore closed her eyes, concentrating, and the crystal ball filled with a heavy fog. If you looked closely, it appeared as if there were lots of human figures trapped inside, floating around with no destination.
"Come ye demons and spirits and such We desire your presence very much To speak of our destinies, the paths made clear Bring us good news of fortune; not fear."
Fore opened her eyes and the crystal ball began to glow an intense purple hue. She let out a deep sigh and looked right at the pink one.
"It seems as though someone is looking for you. You may not know them yet, but you will when the time comes. Offer them good hospitality and fortune will come upon you."
Fore's eyes flashed over to the new girl, still sipping away at her cup. "Would you care for a fortune telling?" she smiled eagerly.

Someone new? Now that sounded exciting. Deffy smiled at the fortune teller. "Thank you... I hope they get here soon. I could use some good fortune."
She laughed and moved over the table filled with desserts. Deffy picked up a smal cake and proceeded to lick the frosting off of the top. "Mmmmm... yummy."

Greens walked it expecting costumes and laughter, also being painfully aware that what she wore could hardly be called Halloweeny. She breathes a sigh that not too many have arrived yet. Her eyes shone as she gravitated towards the desert and drink tables, surveying all that was available. "mmmm....cookiiiiies....." She laughs at her own little joke as she takes a glass of the red stuff that is sitting on a tray. She looks into her glass, makes a face, shrugs and takes a swig. She then walks over to check out the two ladies getting fortunes told and smiles.

with a small smile she took a few steps towards them in aw of her cristal ball she blindly looked into it to see if she could see her own fortune that's until the fortuneteller started to preform her act and the entity's came to play it made her jump spilling some of the dink on herself. y-yeah she replied curiously .

Fore looked down into the ball and whispered her words this time, the verses a tad different than what she said before. She raised her head and looked into the crystal ball, more smoke fogging up in strange purple hues. She looked surprised at it for a moment, then looked back up at boove with curious eyes.
"It seems as though you'll be rewarded for resisting peer pressure. But when, I cannot tell. It could be in the next few minutes, an hour, days, years! Just remember to stay true to who you are, and you'll be happier for it." Fore gave her a weak smile, and the fog cleared from her crystal ball once more.

"It can be, if someone gets a good fortune. Some people lose their minds if they know bad fates are before them." Fore took another bite in the cupcake. "What do you like to do? Are you secretly a vampire?" she smiled.
