█ BACKGROUND
Leviticus Livingston was the first child and only son of an accountant and a used car mechanic. They were a middle-class working family living in the not-particularly-great but not-nearly-as-bad-as-most suburbs of Saxon. All in all, their family, and their lives, were all incredibly mundane and boring. The closest thing to action that had ever happened to the Livingstons was their massive bankruptcy two generations before his parents, placing them from upper-elite to regular old blue collar folk. But that was ancient history and since the Livingstons had adapted to suburban life very well. His mother, the car mechanic, had a bit of a wild childhood before she met his father, the accountant. It took them quite some time to get married (father asked mother three times before she accepted) but eventually they did. His father, Lorias Livingston, was a fairy. Unlike his mother, Sandra Calloway, who was a vampire. But both of their children were born Fairies like Lorias. Or so it seemed. For the first several years of Levitt's life, he was a strangely sickly child. He was weak even for a fairy, tired easily, and no matter how much he ate he always seemed hungry and like he was wasting away. He only seemed to grow weaker and weaker as he grew from a baby into a toddler, and his frantic parents took him to several specialists. It wasn't until his teeth came in that the doctors were finally able to pinpoint the problem; Levitt had been subsisting on a vegetarian diet when what he needed was blood.
Hybrids were uncommon, and their needs could be complicated. So for most of Levitt's childhood, his parents carefully tried to figure out which traits he'd inherited from which parents, and to what extent. They learned that he was repulsed by the smell and taste of most fruits and veggies, but he needed to eat them to settle his delicate fae stomach. However, although he would crave blood more frequently, it was incredibly rough on his stomach, often causing him gastric distress, nausea, and sometimes vomiting. But blood was also vital to his system. They also learned during his years as a toddler that he had indeed inherited wings from his fairy father. However his mothers blood made them a little.... different. Rather than beautiful prismatic wings or butterfly wings, when Levitt finally unfurled them as a child, what sprouted from his back were big black leathery monstrosities. Bat wings, oversized and muscled. Admittedly they were much more powerful than typical fairy wings, not delicate or easily strained, and their large size made flight incredibly easy for him regardless of his size. This was good since they would later learn that he had not inherited his fathers ability to shrink. But their appearance was startling and, in many cases, very off putting. His parents discouraged him from flying, which, naturally, only made him want to fly more. His childhood was riddled with health issues stemming largely from malnutrition as his parents struggled to make sure he ate the appropriate amounts of fruit and blood when he generally had little to no desire for either. Levitts eating disorder would plague him for the rest of his life. His disjointed biological system also presented him with another issue a few years after his little sister, Bianca, was born. His body was still largely convinced that he was a fairy and, as such, he'd developed a dust gland like most. However due to the nature of his wings, he was incapable of distributing it out of his system. So after a few years of increasing back pain, he eventually had to have his dust gland removed to keep it from continually producing dust which, unable to escape, would form into small, hard stones beneath his skin and the joints of his wings.
Levitt was a typical child in most other aspects. Despite his parents protests he always wanted to fly wherever he went, and he didn't understand why they wanted to keep him being a hybrid a secret. He loved playing with his little sister as a child, even when he was profoundly annoyed with her as often as not. Unlike him, she was a full-blooded fairy. She had no issues with dispersing dust (hers caused things to float; Levitt spent a lot of time flying random objects down from the ceiling), she was perfectly happy eating fruits and veggies, and never had even the slightest desire to drink blood. As a child he didn't really understand why these differences were there or what they meant, but as he got older he would slowly come to resent Bianca.
As Leviticus grew a little older and started making friends with other kids in his school, he saw no reason to hide his wings like his parents insisted he should. So, eventually, while playing tag with another boy close to his own age, he unfurled his wings to leap away, laughing as he soared out of reach. But his friend didn't keep laughing. He stared at him wide-eyed instead. So Levitt came down. His friend seemed more surprised than anything. He asked him a few questions, and touched his wings. But Levitt felt strangely awkward after that, so he hid them again and they went on to play something different. While the rest of that day went on as normal, the next was not so much. It was the adults who had started whispering, but children would always follow their parents lead. Once or twice he caught bits of 'don't go near him' or 'don't let me catch you around that one' but most of what the child Levitt saw was other students at his school avoiding him. Of course there were the rebellious few, those who were curious or intrigued, but they never hung around for long. So it was almost a relief when his family decided very suddenly to move to a different district, placing him in a different public school. Apparently their old neighborhood had been getting more unsavory. Something about vampires. Which, of course, Levitt never understood, because why would vampires be a problem? Mom was one.
In his second school he listened to his parents more, and never showed his wings, even when games might have been made much easier by it. It made his life easier, but as he got older it felt dirty, somehow. He didn't like withholding information. It felt an awful lot like lying. In high school he walked Bianca to and from school every day. He was five years older, so naturally it was his job as the big brother to protect her. But that was difficult when even at fifteen he was under five feet tall. There were even some lycan kids in Biancas class who were taller than he was. But it wasn't surprising. He was a fairy, after all. they tended to be small. He became very withdrawn during his first year of high school, but in his second year, he joined the acting class. It was there that he found his passion. When he came out of his shell, he was very energetic and enthusiastic. With encouragement from his teacher, he became incredibly enthusiastic. He told Leviticus that he had real talent, and with dedication he could even star on Broadway.
He really believed in that. And he continued to do so for years.
Immediately after graduating high school Leviticus was accepted to a well-known Performing Arts College. He studied hard there, putting his heart into every class (even the ones he thought were very tedious and unnecessary). There, he fell in with a group of young men who were passionate, like himself. They were easygoing, aspiring actors and filmmakers, and they even talked about working on an indie film together. They were all vampires. All except for Levitt. Their group became somewhat iconic on campus, three tall dark figures with long fangs and hungry eyes, always ringed around that bright little sunspot, Levitt. People often commented on how out of place it seemed, but most seemed to agree that, oddly, they seemed to suit one another. Leviticus was teased for his tiny size and bright appearance, and he teased them right back. The four of them would stay up long into the night, working on their film, going over scenes, practicing their expressions and body language. They were completely at ease with each other. But Leviticus never showed them his wings. Still, they were living in the dorms, and were in close contact pretty frequently. In fact, Leviticus grew particularly close with one of them, Jonah. In highschool he had mostly kept to himself, having only a few fleeting romances with hand holding and the fleeting, awkward kisses of teenagers (as well as solidifying his preference for men). Jonah was his first in many ways, and he suited the small Leviticus, who still tended towards being reserved and delicate in private. He was gentle and considerate, not terribly experienced himself, and he was kind. So, eventually, Leviticus told him about his wings. Jonah wasn't a kid who would be led by his parents. He was shocked, certainly. But he was understanding and supportive, except for one thing; he made Leviticus swear not to tell the other two in their group. He proceeded to confide in him their truths; the three of them were all from pureblood vampire families, most of whom believed, rather firmly, in vampiric superiority. Now of course the three of them were young, outgoing, not so attached to the old dusty ways of their parents. They wanted to live and work and act amongst all the other races, without any of that silly race war nonsense. But, even still, being a hybrid was.... complicated. Being a fairy was one thing, but being some kind of almost-but-not-quite vampire thing was... well it wouldn't be taken well. And Leviticus agreed with him, so they kept the secret between them. Things were fine for a year or so. He wrote Bianca letters frequently, and went home to visit for the holidays. He and Jonah coexisted even better than before, with Leviticus even being able to drink from Jonahs government-issued blood stores when the urge overcame him. But, like many young romances, Jonah and Leviticus slowly started to fall apart. They were both stressed with their classes and the film, Levitt had become jealous seeing Jonah hanging around with other men. They began to fight on a nightly basis until, finally, they split. And really Jonah had never intended on telling anyone Levitts secret, honestly. He was just so angry and so hurt and so bitter, and the four of them had all been such good friends before, so he just couldn't help but let it slip out.
Leviticus disappeared from University for a month. When he came back, he still smiled and performed and acted as if he'd never been gone. But he never hung around the vampire trio anymore. He never talked about how long it had taken for the bruises on his neck and wrists to fade, or how he'd wept in the shower after. Not his parents, not his little sister, and not the men who had once been his friends. He wouldn't even look at them anymore. Couldn't. And Jonah had apologized, even during it, but he never stopped. None of them had, even when he begged. He understood then, why vampires in his old neighborhood had been a problem for them, because his mother was one. Leviticus never told anyone. But, despite a few nervous breakdown in the in between, he eventually made a full recovery. He made new friends (never vampires though), worked on other projects, and eventually graduated, even starring in a small indie film produced by some of the other students in his graduating class.
Once he'd graduated, he took his portfolio and moved out of Saxon and to the big city - a real 'big city' not a shithole like Saxon was - to pursue his dreams of acting on the big stage. He had everything it took. He was gutsy, determined, and outgoing. He was talented and he could dance and he knew he could do it. He kept at it despite the many callbacks that never came. Even when he was scraping by on nothing but cheap frozen fruit, he kept his chin up. Even when he couldn't afford to pay rent, he started couch-surfing to stay in the city because he knew, he knew he could cut it. He fell into an interesting lifestyle, a homeless wannabe actor jumping from place to place and doing whatever odd jobs he could find. Soon enough he was doing less jumping from couch to couch and more jumping from party to party. He cruised and boozed and partied and drank and slept around, and he liked it. Liked the way men looked at him lustfully when he danced for them, how they would stammer and grin like goofy children when he gave those little teasing caresses, liked how eager they were to jump at his every word when he invited them to go 'somewhere more quiet.' And it landed him places to stay for a week or two at a time, so if he benefited from it a little, what of it? Levitt lived this way for quite some time, before eventually striking up a conversation at one such party with another man who 'knew a guy' and finally Leviticus ended up on the casting couch.
At first he just stuck with it because, well, it was good money, and it would help sustain him until he could land a real part. But his popularity in the world of adult entertainment skyrocketed overnight. He became a major celebrity within a year, specifically within the realm of 'fairy lovers.' He began starring in specialized films centered completely around him. So, eventually he gave up on Broadway and decided to focus completely on his new career. He moved back to Saxon, and with his newfound cash flow, started hosting the parties he used to crash. He was bound to attract the attentions of the Ghost gang sooner or later, which was good, because that was exactly what he wanted. He happily associated with the more in-the-know members of the gang, and they quickly worked out a few deals involving Leviticus funneling them money and them offering him protection, drugs, and of course more parties. His popularity only grew over the years, and soon more people knew him by his stage name, 'Peach,' than they did his real name, which suited him just fine. Over the years he had become jaded and bitter, and more and more distant from the persona he played in his films (which did rather resemble himself in his early years of college). He used these connections to get his hands on whatever he couldn't buy with money outright, including access to an alchemist who could make his wings normal, at least long enough for shooting scenes.
And that's how Peach ended up where he is today; living in the wealthy district of Saxon, and the owner of one or two clubs in the clubbing district. He hosts large extravagant parties and works in tandem with the rest of Ghost in a delicate give and take. Through the years he climbed the ranks in his profession, becoming an A-List pornographic actor, winning awards, and even appearing in minor acting roles outside of the industry, and as a model in commercials. He stockpiled a considerable amount of money, and invested it in business, creating a string of dance and strip clubs that became rather popular in Saxon. One location in particular, The Ivory Tower, has become a very popular hangout and exchange location for Ghost Gang Members, having been situated comfortably in their territory. Peach regularly hangs out there when he's not working, taking backroom deals with Ghost and making sure his establishments function smoothly.
You know.
When he's not partying.
█ ABILITIES
▬ FLEXIBILITY
Throughout his childhood and into his adult years, he participated in gymnastics through school. Years of training in gymnastics have made Peach an incredibly lithe contortionist. He can bend himself into all kinds of pretzel shapes that seem impossible, and he is incredibly lithe and graceful. As it so happens, this also makes him a great pole dancer.
▬ CROCODILE TEARS
Peach is an excellent actor, and not just when it comes to pretending to enjoy his job on screen. He's a grade A liar, able to summon or dispel tears on a whim, or nearly perfectly mimic the tone and body language of someone else. He could tell you that he was a 400-foot tall purple platypus bear with pink horns and silver wings and you might be tempted to believe him. He can lie as smooth as silk, which is handy, since he's constantly lying about the fact that he's a hybrid.
▬ FOREVER YOUNG
Not really an ability, per se, but fairies aren't known for aging particularly quickly, and vampires even less so. Peach tends to look at least a decade or more younger than he actually is, and doctors speculate he will likely live longer than one hundred years, provided he keeps up with his health.
▬ FLIGHT
Peach does have incredibly large, powerful wings, making him more than capable of fast, extended flight. They are not delicate, and he can even use them defensively in a pinch. However, he almost never uses them, since it's the biggest giveaway about his dark terrible secret. He can meld them into his back, and he usually keeps them that way. when they are concealed, his wings look like long black lines down either side of his back.
▬ BLOOD ABILITY; FAMILIARS
Peachs vampiric blood ability allows him to create small familiars from his blood. The familiars take the shape of red butterflies, and he can make as many as five at a time, of varying sizes. While these familiars are, physically, entirely harmless and incapable of moving anything much heavier than a few coins, Peach can close his eyes and see and hear through them. However producing more than one at once is incredibly draining, much less seeing through them. He generally uses this trick to spy on the production crew when he thinks they're talking s**t about him behind his back. He can only use this ability when he has fed on blood recently (within the past three days).
▬ FEEDING CONNECTION; INFATUATION
Peachs feeding connection is one that he cannot control, and typically he cannot utilize it at all. It generally only seems to happen on random occasions and it generally serves to just make things uncomfortable for him until it finally wears off. His mother, Sandra Calloway, had a feeding connection which allowed her to fully hypnotize those she fed from, able to command them to do simple or complex tasks and generally follow her around like obedient dogs. Peachs connection is similar but wholly less effective, causing those he feeds from to occasionally become temporarily completely infatuated with him. The exact effects vary from person to person, but generally a victim will feel an overwhelming compulsion to be near him and to try and please him however they can. However they will not necessarily feel compelled to just do as they're told, particularly if it's an order like 'go away.' The effects usually only last for a day, but on one occasion the effects lasted for almost an entire week (that was a bad week for Peach).
▬ MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND
Peach has built himself up an impressive fortune over the years, largely due to his popularity on screen, but also due to some sound investments and well placed favors, solidified by his assistance within Ghost. As such he has access to a great deal of resources and connections.
█ EXTRA
-- Peach hates the taste of fruit and vegetables, but they are easiest for him to digest. He also hates the taste of blood, however he will periodically crave it to the point of being unable to resist getting his hands on it. However if he drinks too much too quickly it will make him violently ill.
-- He may yet have some natural abilities that he hasn't tapped into, or is simply physically unable to. A lot about exactly how his biology functions is unknown.
-- While, publicly, Peach has been an avid advocate for reducing racism in Saxon, often attending and funding rallies, he is personally extremely racist against vampires, despite his statements to the contrary in public. He is extremely hesitant to employ them, will not purchase any vampire slaves, and is generally disinclined to trust them in any circumstance. The only exception is his mother, who seems to feel similarly.
-- He regularly buys a questionable substance from Pietr Barker that transforms his wings into normal fairy wings for a couple hours at a time for film shoots. In this shape they are bright red and black butterfly wings, although they are still abnormally large. He has to travel into Crownless territory to get it, which makes him a little uncomfortable, but at least it's not in Blood Nation.
