The smell of burning fireplaces, and leaves, filled the cool fall night air as gold and red leaves fell down to the ground. Fall was here and with it the myriad of colors and smells. Her home, where she lived with Alexandre, was even more varied in smells than most places as her human had a love for candles. When she'd left the house earlier it smelled of spices and pumpkin. The fireplace had been burning, adding to the smells provided by the numerous candles he had burning. That was one thing he was good at - relaxing. He could help some more uptight officers and corrupted senshi relax, she was sure of it.
If it weren't for wanting to find more potential senshi she would not be out tonight, it was too nice back home, but she did want to see if she could't get lucky and find any potentials to add to her small collection. Pouting as she thought of how small her group of corrupted senshi was, she really wanted to surround herself with more of them, she let out a small sigh. She would find more!
An hour into her wanderings was when the sky decided it was a great time to start pouring water down upon her. Hissing, not at all liking the water, the Mauvian took off for the one place she knew she could break in to. It wasn't too far away but far enough that by the time she landed in the backroom she was soaking wet and pulling something from her own pocket space. Since learning more about it she had stashed a blanket in there, something nice and warm, and now she was settling in under it in order to keep warm and dry off some. She really didn't see why some people liked the rain, like in movies where people danced in it. She was ok with it...when she was indoors and she was guaranteed to be warm and dry!

Atop a desk in the backroom, Arthur had the computer logged on, a few books in a circle on the floor, and had pulled down the same shawl from before. The laptop had a few tabs open of various interest and research, but the main one was tuned into a local doowop radio station that lightly played. Without company, he liked hearing something in the background. Among his nest, he turned a page slowly listening as the rain continued to pour outside. He'd wait it out until it was well enough to go back home but for now he was content to spend time alone in the bookstore.
That was until he felt a signature come to the bookstore, and he rose up, ears perked, as he saw her walk in. "Mistress Katya. I didn't expect you."

Looking up from where she was curling herself up, under her heavy blanket, to warm up and dry off she nodded once. "It was close by when the rain started." And what rain it was, it was pouring down in sheets at this point. It hadn't started out so heavy but it hadn't started out as a light rain either, just not as heavy as it was now.
"You can't hear it but it's coming down in sheets and sideways." The wind was blowing, only adding to it. She wouldn't be surprised if some areas lost power or a few trees came down, branches surely would. "It's cold out as well." Only made worse by the rain and wind. She was built to handle the cold but that didn't mean she liked it, she especially hated water.
"Do tell, what are you doing tonight?" Aside from avoiding the bad weather.

He strained his ears, but glanced away from the sound as he moved over. "It's hard to hear in here." He brushed off, moving to her to pull at her blanket and drag her over to his own spot in the circle of books. Nestled there, he licked her cheek as best he could to help to get her dry again.
"I hate storms. They are only good when you are inside. I usually find a place to stay well before it starts or don't go out at all." His earliest memories were of the rain.
"Well, if you will be here all night, maybe I can make us something to stay warm and we can spend the night inside together?" He said, moving to lick the back of her neck.

Getting up, in order to help him move her blanket and herself, she settled back down once they were back to his little nest. Books all around and she felt comfortable. Curling back up under her blanket she motioned to him to join her if she wished. It was warm under the blanket, and comfortable. If her general wouldn't have noticed, and gotten upset, she might have taken the comforter from his own bed. It was nice and heavy - super warm. It would have been the perfect blanket to carry in pocket space and keep on her, just in case things like this happened.
"I agree. I enjoy watching and listening to them, I do not like getting wet." Not even when she needed to in order to clean blood from her fur. She had a rather strong dislike for becoming wet.
"I wasn't expecting the rain this early, the reports said not for another three hours." She had been caught unexpectedly by the rain, which had not started as a drizzle. It had started as a good rain and moved up, rather quickly, to sheets of rain coming down and a wind picking up hard.
You could hardly hear it in here though...a shame really. Listening to it from in here, nice and warm, wasn't a bad idea. Scooting close to the other Katya lifted her head and raised a paw to bring the other down. Licking his cheek. She was happy to have his...affection? Or was it just his attention? Either way she was pleased with this arrangement.
"I'll be staying the night here, I'd rather not get wet and no doubt there will be flooding from this storm." She was no walking about getting her paws, and legs, all wet. Moving to put her little crown into pocket space, so it could dry, she settled in close to the other, the offer of joining her under her blanket still there. Purring as he licked the back of her neck.

"Well, we can spend the night reading, but I did manage to get the computer up above unlocked if you want to surf the web for anything. I'm just playing music for now. I never liked quiet houses." He said as he continued to clean her head, cheek, and neck.
The covers were warm and he placed a paw behind her back as he moved to help her get dry. "I usually never risk storms. They are too unpredictable. I only came here early to make sure it didn't rain before I had a chance to make it inside. I did bring myself a little snack for the night we can share."

"My home is rarely silent. I am used to noise also." Even if no person was home she would turn on the tv, or some music. Alexandre always had something on, typically the tv, as did his partner Aiden. Alexandre's cousin also kept something on, and he unlike Aiden knew what she was. Aiden was a normal civilian and was clueless, she felt for Alexandre because of this. To have a civilian for a partner and not be able to tell them everything, to keep secrets. He should just corrupt Aiden and bring him into the war, but she understood why he didn't.
"That would be nice, sharing a snack. In the morning we can get ourselves some food." Steal something from a vendor or find something else. They would get food in the morning, tonight they would share what he had brought and they would keep warm, and dry, together.
"I don't risk them either. I thought I would have time." But she didn't, as she had found out. Purring as he paid her more attention she shifted and pet at him gently, kneading at his body gently with her paws.
"Perhaps a movie for us to watch?"

"Pleased with the warmth and company, he gave her one last nudge of his head against her's before he wiggled out from under the blankets and opened his space pocket. Pulling out a packet of tuna, he bite the tab and opened it before biting the opened pouch and tearing I think longways to leave the packet fully opened up to eat off the packet like a dish. "I have coffee too if you want." If she wanted water then they could use the bathroom sink.
Hoping up onto the desk, he tabbed out of the radio and all tabs he had open, flashes of the news, crystals, housing plans, and financial advising flashed before it wasn't closed. He then opened Netflix and entered Sabine's login before looking down. "Romance? Comdedy? It's Halloween soon so we could do horror."

"No thank you, the coffee can wait unless you want some now." She said smiling up at the other. Next time she would bring food with her. She hadn't planned on being out long so hadn't done so. She also didn't know how food would do in pocket space...it seemed fine though, that was good to know.
"Hmm..." Stretching under the blanket she let out a pleased sigh. Relaxing she tilted her heard a bit, bright green eyes watching the white cat. "Horror would be good." So long as there was a plot, she hoped he didn't do cheap scares. "What were you looking up on there before I aarrived?" She questioned, before moving in for a small helping of the tuna. Yes, next time she would bring food with her...something homemade perhaps.

"O-Okay then." He said, pawing at the keyboard slowly and looking at the names. "Scream? I've never seen it." He said, looking over at her. Then again, he hadn't seen ANY of these videos. If it wasn't on some video cassette Elanor owned or public broadcasting, best bet was he didn't know what it was. Sabine and Mercy were kind enough to show him a few movies to update him, but they were not horror.

"That sounds like it should be good." Green eyes watched the other, as he sat behind the computer and worked on finding them a movie to watch. Shifting to stand up, slipping out from under her blanket, she made her way toward the other. "Can we bring that down here to watch together?" Curled up under her blanket for warmth. It would be perfect then. They could wait out the storm together, nice and warm, with some good movie to watch.

Looking at the back of the monitor and the cable running behind the desk, he turned back. "Should be easy enough. Hold a moment, dearest." He said, hoping down onto the chair and then the ground to fetch a cushion from one of the chairs and kicking it off the chair. Once down, he shoved that over and positions that right before the desk before he hopped back up and, after carefully aligning it, tipped it over to land on the cushion, before it bounced and luckily didn't break. Wincing, he shoved the cable under the desk ad jumped down, moving the monitor upright again and plugging it in. He started the movie once he hit the keyboard, then went to jump up a few times before he got the lights.
Eyes bright in the darkness, he moved back under the covers beside her and curled up.

Watching him work she had moved to catch the screen, in case it needed a quick save. She didn't trust it wouldn't hit too hard. When it seemed it wouldn't hit with enough force to break she had let it hit the cushion. As he fixed things up she went to fluff up her blanket and make sure it would be comfortable for them both as she slipped back under, only for Arthur to join moments later.
Curling up at his side she turned her bright eyes onto the screen. Tail moving under the blankets, brushing against the others side. "This will be good." A very nice way to spend the evening. She would have suggested this as a way to spend Halloween night but she might wind up needed for that night - and duty came first. She wondered what would happen if they were on the opposite side of some battle. She would do what she had to do - she was loyal. This was outside of the her work. No one was giving up secrets or looking to change sides, at least she wasn't.
But on a battle field...that would be interesting.

"Let us hope so. It - has been a while since I've watched a scary movie." He confessed, leaning against her and laying his tail around her as the computer screen started through the opening credits.
As the movie progressed, he lunched more and more and his tail bristled and puffed. Occasionally he would mutter to himself things like "Don't these kids know to buddy up?" "Where are the others parents?" "Oh no." "Please get more cops here." "Dear no." Whenever blood was shown, Arthur would find some excuse to glance away.

"Has it?" She asked, well it was half question and half simple comment. Well, this would be interesting. "I'd like after what we do and see a scary movie shouldn't be so bad." Had he been down in the rift? Had he seen what lived there? It wasn't even safe there for her...and she was a member of the Negaverse and team Chaos. The youma didn't bother her, but she knew she was at risk. She didn't, and would never, leave the side of an officer.
During the movie she did comment, as well, on idiot children and where were their damn parents. She too reacted to the sudden scares...the easy to see scare tactics had her almost jumping a few times. She managed to keep herself mostly contained, though she did press more to the others side at some point.
The children in the movie though....didn't they know that going off on their own was going to get them killed? How stupid were they? Watching the other look away from the blood, again, she reached up with a paw and guided his head toward hers and licked one of his ears.
