It's the Festival of Plenty, and kin across the swamp are ready to party. Spirits are high and mischief is on the mind around the bonfire - and the kin next to you may want to give you a present...or they might just be waiting to prank you. Watch out!
This ORP will run for the entirety of Matope's Halloween 2016 event. You may post in the ORP as often as you'd like; however, you can only participate in the game and attempt to win one of the above kin or pets once per day.
This ORP will last until November 6, 2016.
You may make a game post every calendar day, as defined by your timezone. The game post should include your kin giving another kin (which should be the poster above you) a gift or treat, or playing a prank on them. There is no length requirement, and this can be anything you'd like that follows the general prompt, but please try to keep it lighthearted.
"Tricks" should not injure other kin or their pets, or otherwise be of malicious intent. Keep in mind that this is a public ORP thread and excessive violence will not be tolerated. It should be a benign, relatively simple prank rather than something harmful!
If you give a kin a treat, the person who posted above you will receive one ticket to the raffle. If you play a trick on them, you will will receive one ticket to the raffle - but you'll have to deal with the in-character consequences yourself. Please quote the person being pranked or gifted in your form and describe the prank or gift in writing.
If you own no kin, you may play a made up kin who lives in the Swamp. Otherwise, please play one of your own kin.
You can claim this thread as a Legendary requirement if and only if you post the same kin at least 5 times, for a minimum of 500 words.
If you are not making a raffle post, you may post as often as you'd like, but your post must include roleplay like in any ordinary ORP. The more you post, the more likely you are to get a treat! ;D

Forms and List In your first post in the thread, please include the following code for your preference list. You may edit it as often as you'd like until the deadline but please do not modify the code itself, and fill it out completely, including your username and leaving the tags intact.
When you have roleplayed your kin giving another kin a trick or a treat, please post the following code. You may edit in the roleplay after you find out your target, but please do not attempt to game the system by back-editing old posts. Someone has enlisted their salamanders to create a bonfire that crackles every so often, and kin are already gathering around to share their spoils from the season, or perhaps tales of their exploits, or of strange mythology. It's a warm evening, and there's food and companionship and plenty of high spirits to go around - what more could you want? What is your kin up to tonight?
"... And eventually, all that was left were his hooves, still dancing away," a dark acha whispered from next to the crackling flames. "I've heard they're still dancing, if you can manage to find them... But I wouldn't advise looking for them," she added. "After all, some dances require a partner, and they've been dancing alone for so, so long..."
From behind the quiet audience came a soft, rhythmic shuffle, as of distant, dancing hooves. A few of the fillies and colts screamed and scrambled to their feet to get away, and the storytelling acha laughed.
"Ahahaa, gotcha! Don't worry, kids, that's just one of my friends helping make the story a little scarier. Those dancing hooves aren't really here.
"I do mean it when I say don't go looking for them, though," she added as the little crowd dispersed. "Wandering around on your own can be dangerous. Y'all have a good night now!" she called after them cheerfully.

Rising from the Ashes had been lurking in the shadows and carried forth some Black Dahlia's. "A gift for you." He said as he came up behind her. "That was quite the tale. I'd like to hear more if there is any." He said with a warm smile as he joined the dark female with orange markings. He gazed about with blood orange eyes he gazed into the glowing flames and gave a sly smile to the young ones gathered around.
Jester almost skipped up after watching the little ones shriek and dash away. His cheeks puffed out as he tried to hide the laugh around the thing in his mouth, and then sneaked up behind the lovely dark kio with a cheeky smile. He rump-bumped him, and held out the small makeshift twig basket he'd wefted together with his own teeth. Inside, placed on a layer of soft leaves were some honey-dipped bananas. "I got dish fer you," he said around the handle. He set it down and then took a gander around the rest of the kin around the fire. It was warm, lovely on the chilly air, and he shivered, ruffling up his fuzz. "Pretty cold tonight," he mumbled, missing the desert already.

Turning his attention towards Jester as he was bumped on the rump and gave the male a warm smile. "That was very kind of you." He said taking the basket from the male and looking at the bananas that lay upon the leaves. The golden colors of the honey glistening in the firelight.
There were more than one and he figured he could share with the male that had given him such delightful treats. "Here, you must have one with me." He said as he took one of the delightful treats in his mouth and pushed the basket back towards Jester. The soft taste of honey mixed with the delightful tang of the banana was wonderful on his tongue.

Hush watched the other kin gathering around the campfire with curiosity. She didn't usually tend to travel away from her small territory, and especially not at night. But there had been other kin out and about, and so the night had been far less threatening than usual. Besides, she doubts anything truly bad can happen with so many others around.
Nervously, she steps closer, her glowing eyes wide at the events going on around her. Someone behind her squeels in a mixture of fright and delight, and Hush jumps a little, startled -- right into the path of a Kiokote.
"Oh--- I'm so sorry!" She gasps, her heart still thudding a little. One of the kin on the way here had given her a bit of sweet leaf, and she still has some stashed in her tail. "...Will you take this as my apology? I had a few of the leaves -- they're quite good."
As he stood up to get a bit of a stretch he was suddenly bumped into by a dark colored Zikwa with a very bushy tail. He couldn't help but admire her for it. "Oh, don't apologize. I completely understand." He said with a light laugh as she apologized. When she pulled a bit of sweet leaf and offered it to him he graciously accepted it. "Would you care for one of these?" He said offering one of the honey banana's towards her.
The party didn't really start, in Ode's opinion, until he walked in. He made sure to do so in a way such that the bonfire highlighted his magnificent bone structure. No one here was going to ignore Ode. Or sit there without sharing. It was the Festival of Plenty, after all, and that meant plenty of food. For Ode to take. He grinned prettily at the small group he reached first - a kiokote buck standing and a Zikwa exchanging...something. "What's that you've got there?" he asked the group, smug smile perched securely on his face. "Please, do share."
He paused, tilted his head, and thought - well, why not. If it was bribery he had to resort to... "After all, I've seen fit to bestow you with this."
It wasn't really clear where he'd gotten it from, but his offering was a large, deep maroon feather, soft and shiny. "I think it'd look lovely against your mane," he declared to the Kiokote buck, and he winked at the Zikwa doe who was near them in the meantime.

Soothe was just...listening. She wasn't really much of one for parties - or, really, for other kin. She'd come along with her little frog friend because she'd thought she'd find something new, but for the most part all that she could see here was new types of food, or stories that were frankly a bit terrifying for her tastes. It was all well and good when an unintelligent creature was causing injury - they didn't know better, and they had to hunt to live - but she didn't much like the thought of kin doing the same.
Actually, that was probably why she didn't like kin in the first place. And yet - and yet, she'd met some nice ones, at the winter market. Soothe was just holding out hope that she'd meet a few more. Surely there had to be someone else who was actually considerate?
In the meantime she pulled her frog closer to herself. Wouldn't a nap be nice just about now?

Bitter Apple wasn't exactly the social type. She much preferred to meander through the swamp listlessly with her swan, ignoring the living world around her. But it got lonely, avoiding others. Maybe it was time for a change... The Kimeti had overheard someone talking about a festival of sorts, and it had piqued her interest enough for her to stalk along behind the other kin.
But now that she was here, she looked around in an awkward manner, her glowing eyes surveying the small crowd that hag come. She really wasn't sure how she ought to interact with the others, or if she should at all, until she noticed a male giving a gift to another kin and... Complimenting them?
Okay, that wasn't so bad. She could do that. But what would she give? Bitter Apple hadn't thought to bring anything. Looking around worriedly, she sighed, resigning to offering one of her most prized possessions. She could get more.
Mustering up some courage, she plucked an apple blossom from her tail and made her way toward a sweet-looking female. Clearing her throat to make her presence known, Bitter Apple set the blossom beside the other kin and her frog. "Uh. Hi there. Happy festival?" The uncertainty in her own voice made the green and black female cringe a little, cursing herself in her mind. "I hope you like it. It would look lovely in your... Uh..." She was just now noticing the lack of hair and stub of a tail, something she wasn't familiar with. I guess that's what happens when you don't talk to anyone, she thought to her self, flustered. "It'd look lovely on you."
He couldn't help it when he got there. All the others were being so nice and kind to each other. They shared the treats like it was normal, but none seemed to want to pull a trick. It would help if Mischief was around. The buck chuckled to the snake on his back. "Shall we join the treat giving?" Doesn't matter that the treat was more for his amusement.
Stepping up to the doe with the long green and blackish mane and tail. "Festive day, isn't it?" Knowing that Joke blended into his colors close enough, Solemnly prayed that he could distract the pretty doe with some talk. This all while the snake moved around and maybe into her mane, he did like flowers after all too. Though she was close to the others now, he still figured his little friend would do the right thing.

Bitter Apple smiled awkwardly at the other kin, nodding kindly. "Yes, I suppose it is." She had all but forgotten the other do when being spoken to. The solitary Kimeti certainly wasn't one for holding multiple conversations at once. "So how did you hear about this little gatheri---" She stopped speaking when she felt something in her hair, shaking her head wildly to free whatever had gotten into it. This was not a rare occurance, but it was generally a bug or something less... Big. The thump on the ground the snake made when it fell loose jumped her, and she gasped with fright. It didn't take long at all to notice the similarity of the color between the snake and the kin standing before her.
Oh so that's how he wanted to play this? Here she was, thinking that this was a place to be kind and mingle with others, and this is what she got?!?! Fuming in her mind, she instead let out a small chuckle. "Oh, very funny. Well, I suppose I ought not hold any ill will for that; autumn can be a fairly spooky season after all." She smiled, not unkindly, before suddenly realizing something.
It was true she hadn't really brought anything. At least, not anything she'd usually want to give to another. Not in a friendly manner, anyway. Deviously, she called to her pet Bloom, who often carried things for her. Very gingerly, Bitter Apple retrieved an apple from the swan's back, one of many. She set it on the ground before the male and his snake, smiling. "Happy festivities!" Its color was a deep green, and it smelled divine. You couldn't even tell that it had been stuffed with worms and begun rotting from the inside out, at least not without really looking. She separated herself from the male as quickly as she could after that, hoping to avoid any repercussions from the less-than-tasty snack.

The bananas had been tasty, and he looked around the group for more kin to gift. The circle had grown since he'd last popped by, and he realized he'd still had more things in a few baskets he'd hung on branches in the woods to avoid the scavengers. He skipped back merrily, and came back with a second basket, this one containing a pile of flowers inside, with very vivid colors. He droped it beside the vivid black and green doe, and shook his horns until they rattled. "Hello there! These make excellent pigments if you marking trees with them around home," he chirped, and then took one small flower, grinding the petals between his hooves to show her. "They work better if you mix some water in, but not a whole lot or they'll get a little runny." He then plopped himself down around the fire to listen in and hone in on another kin to surprise that night with a smile.
He felt a little awkward for conversation that night... maybe if he chewed on a few mushrooms, it'd help him ease out. He puckered a lip and locked around, but then just felt more self conscious. He couldn't quite place why he felt so strange tonight.
