Her nightmares were diminishing as time had past. There were whispers amongst some of the people of the sanctum, gossip about whither or not the gods had abandoned her. After all Saedah had been brought her due to her connections with the gods and her night terrors. Being able to sleep better shoud of been a blessing but it only caused the young woman to worry and fret.

Would she be kicked out if the gods no longer tried to communicate through her? Would she only be a burden to everyone here? These worries caused the woman to stay away now...insomnia now a friend leaving her drained and barely able to function during prayer and meditation. Carlden, her mentor had expressed his concern and she had feigned ignorance she didn't want to be a burden.

But even someone who worried as much as she did, sleep did finally come to her. And with sleep so did the dreams. This time though, she was walking in an unfamiliar place it was eerily calm and peaceful. She was wearing simple clothing, a dress that she recalled seeing her mother wear though no shoes...she could feel the cold earth on the palms of her feet.

Though she dreamed...she had gotten up quietly and had walked herself out of her room. Like a ghost as she drifted down the corridor of the sanctum and allowed herself out into the courtyard. Since her dream seemed similar to her location she managed to not bump into any walls or stumble over stones it was as if her body had memorized where everything was. Normally she would be bound to her bed as her night terrors had her often running straight into walls or clawing at the people who were trying to help her. But since the terrors had lessened quite a bit she was still 'watched' though her current attendant had fallen asleep.

Eyes wide open but unblinking as she moved forward she stopped t the edge of a small fountain, delicately she stepped up and into it. A mist clung toher night clothes causing them to dampen, and she stopped moving. Standing silently just inside the edges of the fountian whilst in her dream she was staring at a figure she couldn't make out.

It was only by sheer coincidence that Jolanta was still in the Sanctum, having been doing an errand for one of the older Priests. He'd accompanied the man out for the day, gathering some herbs, and the two of them had gotten in rather late. After that the man had ended up keeping him in late, chatting with him, regaling him of tales when he was younger. Back in the day when he was a young, handsome man wooing all the girls! And how he felt that Jolanta would be good at the same thing, that he should go carousing and 'not be so serious all the time' among other things.

Jolanta, being the studious man that he was, stayed with the Priest until the man was ready for bed. Once he was tucked for bed Jolanta left the man's room, heading on his way out. It was time for him to get home so that he could get some rest himself... but as he went he spotted one of the younger Priestess walking along. He blinked a couple times, one ear giving a little twitch, as he took in what she was wearing. He flushed just a bit before turning, following along after her, a curious look on his face.

"Priestess?" He called out as she stepped up onto and then into the fountain, wondering what she was up to. Was she just bored? Doing something on dare? hard to really say he thought to himself as he walked along forward toward the fountain, "Is there anything that I can do to help, Priestess?"

Of course Saedah didn't hear him, staring intently forward as if there was something very important for her to look at there. Having her eyes open didn't help matters as it gave off the intention that was 'awake' and plainly just ignoring him. Though as she stood there more and more water sprayed onto her night clothes making them more and ..more transparent under the moonlit sky.

In her dream the figure was so bright, she couldn't make out their form but it was certainly not a warm light. In fact it was quite cold...and gave off the feeling of being rather calculating. She inquired what it was...what it wanted, but got no response. The light began to retreat and she took a step forward her hand reaching out as if hoping to catch some part of it.

In the real world she was mumbling, muttering incoherent words, her body suddenly taking a step forwards and nearly pitching herself over the edge of the fountain. Yet somehow her body knew where the edge was and stopped her before she hit it. By moving forward more of her body ended up being doused by water, her hair now starting to get very wet indeed.

Cold. She was getting cold..and frightened as the light left her and the darkness began to swallow the setting her up. Taking a step back, something sharp like needles came over her body, although outside of her dream the 'needles' was only the cold water covering her skin. And as if in unison both her dream self and real self sat down her hands coming up to cover her head as if she was trying to stop herself from being struck.

Jolanta watched, eyes a bit wide, as the one before him seemed to be sort of flailing about in the fountain while mumbling to herself... and after a moment of taking in the scene before him it seemed to click. He'd never met this woman before but he knew who this was. This was the one called Saedah, she was the 'Possessed Priestess' the one that seemed to have some sort of dark spirit residing within her or so the rumors said. She acted out in such a manner when she was asleep, as though the thing within her was taking control. It was something that had him going a touch wide eyed. He was sure that he'd met her one day but it was still a surprise to meet her in such a condition.

Taking a few steps forward as the woman seemed to collapse in the fountain and the cold water within. He wasn't sure if he should approach given the fact that she had a spirit in control of her body but he couldn't just leave her within the icy water now could he? What sort of protector would he be if he left her to freeze?

Giving a little shake of his head he started forward toward her, stepping into the fountain himself, before he reached out to try to scoop her up. While he knew there was a chance that the spirit within her wouldn't be pleased with what he was doing he couldn't leave her in the fountain. She was going to get sick if she stayed in there, which he couldn't allow. He had to get her to dry land at the very least no matter what.

In her dream the darkness had consumed everything, there was only a small patch of light around her and she felt as if she would break trying to keep herself from screaming. She covered her head as if trying to stop the darkness from getting to her and then something grabbed her.

As Jolanta picked her up she began to shriek, flailing wildly like a banshee as she attempted to get away. Her eyes that had been open now were shut as she attempted to escape from her capture.

The darkness was consuming her body, the cold numbed every limb as sharp pains stabbed at her mind. Saedah had to escape, she needed to find the light again, even if it was cold and unyeilding it was better than this biting darkness.

To say that her shrieking was loud...was an understatement. One would swear she was being murdered as her body jerked around, she clawed and pushed at Jolanta until ...shivering and unable to fight back anymore she seemed to calm down.

Perhaps it was his body heat that was helping her calm, the fact he was holding her....either way..her eyes opened again but this time there was awareness. Who had...rescued her? Was it Carlden? He was about the only person who had even held her like this so without thinking she buried her face into Jolanta's chest and began to sob.

Jolanta gave a bit of a wince as the woman in his arms started to shreik and claw at him, something that he had expected if only because of the rumors that went around about the 'Possessed Priestess'. He gave a soft sighing sound as he said, "You really should relent, Sprit, and allow her to come to. She's going to freeze to death if you leave her soaked like this." He stepped out of the water and walked forward with her.

The screaming continued as he moved, holding onto her tightly enough that she wouldn't fall out of his arms. He was going to end up looking like he'd scrapped with an angry beast by the end of this but if it meant that the Priestess would be alright then that was fine by him. It was important to him that she was alright, he didn't mind as much about himself. He wanted to head inside... but she was being rather loud, something that was already sure to wake people up, and he couldn't really bring her inside to bother others.

A mother later she seemed to go quiet... or at least quieter. She clung to him, she seemed to be sobbing now... possibly awake. Looking down at her Jolanta asked, "Priestess? Are you awake now? Has the spirit released its hold on you?"

Saedah had clung to Jolanta without much thought, she had assumed it was the older priest Carlden and she had taken this opportunity to exploit his kindness and comfort. As she calmed down it became...apparant this wasn't her mentor. In fact...the body she clung to was much more solid and muscular than Carlden ever had been. When the man spoke...it really drove home that she was clinging to some man she didn't know.

She was wet cold and shivering uncontrollably, the fact she was pressed up against him rather tightly and unwilling to give up his body heat was beyond mortifying.

"...S..pi..rit..." Saedah murmured hesitantly, ah was that was people thought was happening. Embarrassed her face was a deep red and she was unable to meet the young man's gaze. "W..where am I?" She inquired slowly, she was wet...so..how far had she traveled? Wait...she was wet? and..in her nightgown? Would the shame never cease? Clinging to him was...dreadfully embarrassing but she was so cold that letting go of him wasn't exactly an option right at this moment.

"You are in the courtyard... I found you bathing in the fountain, Priestess." He told her, a look of concern on his face as he took her in. Good, this meant that she was awake and conscious, so that meant that it should be safe to bring her inside where she would be warmer, yes? He gave a humming sound before he said, "We should bring you inside before you freeze to death, Priestess."

With that he shifted her so that he was holding her in a more comfortable manner and carried her toward the entrance that he'd only recently walked through. He would bring her inside, see her back to her room, and make sure that she was warmed up. He wasn't sure how to go about that in a manner that would be discreet... especially given what he had to ask next. His cheeks colored ever so slightly as he asked, "Where is your room, Priestess? You need to get into something dry, perhaps wrapped up in a pile of blankets. It's far too cold for you to stay as you are."

The courtyard, but how...oh yes there was a fountain, somehow she had managed to walk out of her room and travel all that way without running into anything. Nodding numbly, from the cold and the shock of it all she was still dying of shame. Please...don't let anyone see them...they may get the wrong idea. What if Caldren saw? Would he be disappointed in her? Still she gestured in the direction of where her room was.

The young man was correct, she did need to warm up and get out of these wet clothes.

"A...yes...thank..you..." She trailed off as she didn't know the young man's name. No..wait her attendant would be in her room, she couldn't be seen like this! Not in a strange mans arms and soaking wet to boot! Alarmed at what rumors could be started with this she quickly shook her head.

"W..wait wa..wait no..w..we can't go ..to my room! My...m...a..ttendant is..in there! Wh..at if..she gets the wrong idea??" Panic was in her quiet voice her cheeks still flushed though this time with alarm. "Please...I..can't be seen like this." Saedah begged.

Jolanta gave pause, his ears giving a twitch, before he gave a nod of his head, "Alright, somewhere else... I can bring you to one of the guest rooms?" He suggested, though even then it was a touch embarrassing if anyone noticed. For the Priestess at least... but surely they would know that he wasn't after anything from the Priestess as he was a protector of those in the Sanctum. At least he'd like to believe that but it was hard to say with some people what they might think of things. Best that they were careful, for the Priestess' sake.

He looked down at her for a moment, then up and away again given the fact that her current clothing was wet, clinging, and somewhat see through. It was something that he didn't want to look at since it was a strike against her modesty.

"I will find somewhere safe for you to dry out and change, a guest room, some place that others might not see you. At least I really hope that nobody sees you." That was what he hoped that he would be able to find for her that was. He didn't want anyone thinking poorly of the Priestess just because they had no idea what was going on and just guessed at it instead of actually knowing for certain.

Grateful that he didn't argue with her and even more so that he didn't offer to take her to his room if..he had a room. Wait a minute, she didn't recognize this young man but that didn't mean much as she was basically a shut in at the temple. She was being carried around by someone she had just met, she didn't even know his name.

Her face reddened as she looked away from his face, he had such a serious expression she had to wonder what he was thinking. That she was a nuisance? Probably. Was she heavy? Ah...that was embarrassing to think about her weight of all things. Since he had said he was taking her to a 'guest' room she would wait before protesting he put her down.

After all she wasn't decent and even though it would be bad to be seen carried like this it would be worse being seen wearing damp clothing and being accompanied by the young man.

"ah..t..thank you a..again." Saedah murmured resisting the urge to lean her head against his chest. Since only the side pressed to him was warming up the rest of her felt quite cold. "Ho...ow long...was I outside...? D..id..I do anything....w...w...er...strange?" she inquired softly.

Jolanta gave a nod of his head, "It's quite alright, Priestess. There is nothing for you to worry about." He said in what he hoped was a reassuring voice as he walked along, down the hall and toward where the guest quarters were located. He would find a nice room for her to rest up and dry up in. Once she was back in better condition she'd be free to head back to her own room, until then though he really needed to see to her and make sure that she was alright.

As the Priestess asked him about the incident he said, "You weren't out there too long... though long enough to get a bit chilled." Which was what had him worried about her. The last thing he wanted was for the Priestess to get a cold because she'd decided to bathe in the fountain during the middle of the night. As she asked him if she'd done anything 'strange' he couldn't help but to stare for a moment. One of his ears gave a little twitch before he said, "Nothing... too strange?" He was being kind but he didn't want to worry her by letting her know the extent of it.

Passed the scratches he carried on his person and her screaming he supposed it wasn't too horrible. Here was to hoping that not too many people had heard her he thought to himself as he came to pause in front of an open door, easing the Priestess down onto her feet, "Is there anything that I can fetch for you, Priestess?"

Hmmmm Saedah wasn't entirely sure how to take his reply. Nothing 'too strange' could list a bunch of things she still could of done so rather than feel relieved she felt more agitated. Since she couldn't look at him in the face, she found her eyes wandering around his chest and strong arms. Wasn't she heavy? In the dim light she could see markings, it looked like claw marks scratching up anywhere exposed skin was.

Alarmed she had a sinking feeling he was trying to spar her more embarrassment for she was fairly certain those...were caused by her. As they entered the room and she was lowered to her feet she found herself clinging to him still before finally prying herself off of him. Instinctively she turned as if...that would hide the fact her night gown was fairly see through, even though it was fairly dark in the room.

"Y..our hurt." She managed giving a small gesture to a few of the marks on his skin. Looking about the room she spotted a lanturn and went to go light it. The flame offered little warmth but at least they weren't in complete darkness anymore. Shivering she looked around for anything she could use to help tend to his wounds. She didn't have magic, and so she would have to do it the mundane way.

All the guest rooms had nominal essentials but at least she was able to find a pitcher, bowl and towels. And thankfully a robe. Saedah knew she would have to change out of her wet nightgown else she would catch some illness she was sure of it.

"St..stay here...I will tend to your injuries." She murmured as she went into the next room and quickly stripped. It was strange how damp clothing clung to ones skin and even once she had applied the dry robe onto herself it did little to warm her. Still she wouldn't make the man wait. Returning she had filled the bowl with water from the pitcher and then brought out a towel.

"Please sit." She managed through chattering of her teeth, she was trying to pull herself together but it was still blatantly obvious she was nervous, cold and embarrassed. The robe was thin and...barely contained her rather large breasts. It left little to the imagination but that was all there was.

After setting the Priestess down he watched as she whirled around and instinctively Jolanta did the same, feeling that the move was due to her wanting her privacy given the clothing that she was wearing. He gave a little cough before saying, "I can leave the room if you would prefer, Priestess?" He knew that it was likely the best idea given that she seemed keen on protecting her modesty. At the mention of him being 'hurt' he gave a shake of his head and said, "Minor scratches, nothing to really worry yourself over, Priestess. I can assure you that I will be fine." He didn't want her to worry about him, nor did he want her to feel bad because she'd attacked him while she was possessed. She wasn't the one that had done it so he felt no ill will toward her... though given that he was here to serve those of the Sanctum even if it was on purpose he still wouldn't have been too upset.

As he was told to 'stay here' he gave a nod, not even looking toward the Priestess and her clinging dress as she walked away from him. When she reappeared a short time later Jolanta dared to look her way from the corner of his eye. Upon finding her dressed in new, dry robes he turned around to face her once more.

He gave the things she carried he said, "It's alright, you needn't worry about me, Priestess. As I said they are just scratches." He said that but the moment that she told him to 'Please sit' he did so, settling down on the seat that she motioned to. It put him in a precarious situation given where eye level became so instead of looking toward the Priestess he turned his attention down to where his hands were clasped in his lap. Giving a little twitch of one ear he said, "Alright, if you feel that healing is needed then I thank you for the aid, Priestess."

Saedah supposed he was speaking the truth, though she didn't know him well enough to know if he was fibbing to save face. Sighing she dipped the corner of the towel into the bowl of water and began to dab at one of the more evident wounds. She had really gone at him, it gave her pause and she wanted to look at her fingers to see how they could manage that much.

Refusing to be distracted she noted that...this was an awkward position for them both as she had to lean forward to clean some of the lower scratches giving him full view of her cleavage that he was very gentlemanly no looking at.

"Ah....I believe I've seen you around the temple...have you been...here long?" She inquired trying to make any small talk as the silence and awkwardness was beginning to kill her. She could only hope someone didn't decide to pop into the room out of curiosity as it was suppose to be an empty guest room.

Saedah herself lost track of the people who came and went in the sanctum, she had been here so long the only person she really kept track of was the Priests and Priestess in the upper sanctum. Carlden as well was a close and prominent figure in her life.
