[PRP] Working Hard or Hardly Working? (Calida x Static)

Static looked at the pile of parts in the box he was just handed. The older troll that had just given Static the box hurried away to do something "more important" as the blueblood heard the scientist say under his breath. Static picked the box up and heaved it over to a corner. He looked around, other kids were doing their part to represent the city by assembling the parts in their own boxes. Static frowned as one of the kid's lusi trumpeted out, enjoying the bonding of troll and lusi. He felt the absence of his own lusus more harshly than usual. Raijin was probably out doing noble and important things, the blueblood thought to himself, trying to reassure himself. It didn't work. The empty spot where Raijin would have been grew darker and more oppressive on the boy's mind. Static sat down with his box, not letting any of his internal sorrow show, and got to work assembling some what-cha-ma-thing-it.

Calida wrinkled her face in disgust as she watched the other trolls getting greasy and sweaty with all the work that they were doing. Honestly, it made her super tired and she really didn't want to get her hair or new dress all messy. It had taken so long to grow it out and then dye it. "Out of the way!" an an older troll carrying some support beams grunted at the small greenblood. With the reflexes of a tripping child Calida was out of the way and onto the ground. The older troll scoffed, "Get back to work would you? We don't have room for brats like you to be loafing around," And with that the older troll was off. With an indignant sniff Calida dusted off her skirt and stuck her tongue out at the older troll.

"Fine, whatever," the greenblood scoffed and looked for something, literally anything she could do so she didn't get scolded again. Maybe she could get away with just talking to someone so that she looked like she qas somehow making a contribution. Quickly she was able to spot a busy blueblood and glided across the room over to him, she leaned forward and placed her hands behind her back. "And what are you up to all alone over here?" Calida Asked with a big smile.

Static looked up in surprise. "Oh! Um, Er," Static mumbled as he looked all over for the instructions. "A... force widget enhancer?" Static looked helplessly at the pamphlet. He hoped the girl would't ask him what it did or anything, he hated having to admit that he had no idea what he was doing. Bluebloods were supposed to be strong and know what they were doing, not sitting in the corner working on something they were told to do. Static looked down, feeling a bit shameful. Quickly he floundered for something to change the topic. "H-Hi." Thats what trolls said when greeting new trolls, right? "Im Static, who are you?" Static sighed in relief, he was pretty sure that was all correct.

"Oh...." She had no clue what that could even possibly be and honestly, she really didn't WANT to know, that would mean she might get sucked into working and she was so tired of working at that point. She was tired of the smell of sweat, though there were some REALLY interesting and high status looking trolls over there.

"Well, I'm sure you can make it, you seem like you know what you're doing, I wish the instructions weren't so confusing though, I mean it's like they didn't take into account some people have NOOOO idea how science stuff works" She might have sounded just a bit dismissive, maybe she was, but upon being asked who she was, she smiled. "Oh My name is Calida, nice to meet you static, " she adjusted her jumpsuit and pushed her hair back. She let it stay loose since she found it so beautiful.

"You know I think a break would be absolutely wonderful right now, don't you?" She gave him a smile. Calida absolutely expected him to say something to her

Static flushed, she thought he could make whatever this difficult thing was. That was sure nice of her. "Calida." the Blueblood repeated, making sure to pay attention and remember her symbol and face. Maybe he would see her around, anything could happen. "Oh, um.." Static was pretty sure there was a lot of work to be done, and it would be more responsible for him to stay and help. The boy looked back at the scientists and other volunteers. Then the girl asked so sweetly, and her smile was nice. "Yeah, um, that sounds nice. Where do you want to go?" The boy stood up, leaving the gadget on the ground in parts.

a million years later

"Oh, well I think there is a cafeteria around here somewhere..." Good. Well actually this may not be so good, but if the two of them are in any way in trouble for any reason, the blueblood would probably take most of the heat... maybe. "Though, it might not be a great idea to spend too long there," She linked her arm in his. "Lets go static~!" and off she went dragging her new friend to go to the cafeteria. Food and Laziness calling her name!

Static tensed and blushed as the other troll took his arm. Was that okay? Wasn't physical contact something only trolls who were close did? Did-did that mean she liked him?! The thought made his legs stiffen and he almost tripped as she pulled him along. "Cafeteria?" Static asked, the girl sure sounded worried. "Well, i mean, ive been here a few hours... and some other kids left for snacks... i don't think they will mind? Maybe?" Static tried to say reassuringly. She was taking him to get food, this was more than he bargained for. Should he offer to pay? He saw an old movie where one troll pulled out a chair for their date, but he also saw a different movie where one troll purposely dumped a drink all over their date. It was just all so confusing, maybe he should go in the middle. Pull out a chair and dump water on it? Sure.
