She'd enjoyed food, enjoyed... really adorable company and movies. Now they were waiting on the pizza to get here, while goofing off. So far Vega kept the conversation light, and the teasing. Even though she'd eaten mac and cheese, and hot dogs, she always had room for pizza. "I'm excited. I haven't had fresh pizza in like... months. Last time I had it, my friend got fired because she gave me left over pizza..." Vega chuckled nervously and let her brows knit as she sat there with her head on Zac's shoulder, curled up with him on the couch. Somewhere along the line a blanket had been gotten out and now they were sharing the warmth. Her legs felt super toasty, and even her toes were wiggling against the couch cushions. "..I mean, we're still friends, and yeah. That was the last time."

Zac was blushing, but it was a shyly pleased kind of smile. “Well, fresh here and now and um, all the toppings you want and um… I did kind of get the whole wheat crust on mine if you want to try it, I think it tastes kinda awesome, but Mine’s just cheese so.” He shrugged. He toyed with a corner of blanket, still smiling. There was a knock at the door and he glanced up sharply. “Pizza I bet.” He said after a moment. “I’ll grab it!” He added and slipped from under the blanket with an apologetic look. “You can pick the next movie while I grab it, does that sound ok?”

"Yeah~" She said to basically everything. She'd try his 'healthy' pizza and pick the movie. Leaning forward, she grabbed the remote and went to do just that. Something funny. Scary movies weren't for eating such deliciously baked goods like pizza. Settling on a weird sort of romcom meets a spy movie, Vega rearranged the blanket and then turned to look at him. "Hey, you know. I was wondering if maybe you wanna meet up a couple times a week. Or like maybe once a week." She wanted to spend time with her friends, and right now Zac was her friend. He was also the sweetest one she had. Turning back the normal away, she grabbed her soda and sipped at it quite happily. "I'll even pay if I get my job. You know, for like little lunch dates or something."

He blinked and then… smiled again, having paid and tipped the delivery person. “That… that sounds really nice.” He nodded. “We can go dutch too if you get the job, that way you can save more of your paycheck!” He nodded. “I… I would like to try that if your schedules permit.” he said earnestly. Because lord knew what the future would bring.

"Go Dutch?" What did that even mean? She squinted down at him and shifted to make grabby hands at the pizza. "That sounds like some kind of weird.. sex thing. Do you just mean split the payment because.. I can do that." She huffed a bit and just continued to sip at her soda. "...If I read the ad right, lunch breaks are a thing I can leave the store for, so..."

He stifled a laugh into his hand and nodded. “Yeah, that’s what I was always told going ‘dutch’ meant, Im really not sure WHY it gets called that, its very weird but It’s probably terrible.” He ducked his head. “I just meant, like… my schedule might conflict with when your lunch is, so I’m absolutely down for it, but it might sometimes be harder to plan than others and well. I did get stuck in Other Ashdown Once.” He admitted. “For… a week.”

"Interesting," she murmured, thinking about it. Her head tilted to one side and Vega looked fairly excited. Hopefully their lunches lined up and they could eat together. If not, there was always dinner, she supposed. When he cam over with the pizza, she opened up one of them and took a slice right then and there before chowing down. "...Whoa, wait, what? A week? ....You okay?"

“Oh… yeah It was early on.” he nodded. “But I mean, you never know. Time I guess moves a bit…different than here? Like it felt like a little less time to me at least, but it was actually a week. And then there was the thing with the fetches and that ball and…brrr.” He shuddered and yeah, it’s and odd place, and I need to… I need to go to a place where a girl was stuck for a long time. So… I just don’t want to make you think I’ve ditched if something happens. It probably won’t, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that.” He opened his own box, the crust was similar if slightly darker in color.

"The fetches and the ball... Wow. I...really missed a lot, didn't I?" she continued to eat her own pizza, thinking about things he'd said. "Jeremiah said it was raining there all the time. Then when it stopped, it was that horrible downpour here.." She tapped her chin with her finger, not realizing it was greasy and then hummed. "Another dimension. This is like, twilight zone thing. Someone should be making a TV series out of this town." All joking aside, she was worried. "...I take it uh. It didn't go so hot? You.. didn't look so happy to admit it'd been a week."

“It… it was just weird. Like it didn’t seem like a week. And the cover story is that I was lost in the woods, that’s a little embarrassing I gotta admit.” He sighed. “I just… this place brings out things in people I don’t like. And It’s hard to explain.”

"Mm. Okay.." She chewed on another slice thoughtfully before sitting up straighter. "I think Jeremiah's going to take me to Other Ashdown soon. Don't know when. So uh." Vega's tone was like this was going to be just a casual thing. In and out. "Y'know. I'm kind of nervous slash excited? I mean. Who really gets to say they've been to another dimension?"

“Bring an Umbrella!” He said firmly. “And… if you don’t have one i’m giving you one, and a bag, and some power bars, and um… yes. I have another first aid kit. You should have a kit.” He nodded firmly. “Uh… I think I only have a sort of silly umbrella but it was on sale.”

She blinked, stared at him, and then laughed into her arm, shaking her head. He was to adorable. Catching her breath, Vega leaned forward and looked right at him. "Hey. Thanks for the concern. I'll bring my bag full of stuff. Uh. As for an umbrella, I might have actually lifted one during all that rain, so I'm good. It's still in good shape."

“Well… you should try and keep it with you.” He nodded sagely. “Because its always raining there, I don’t know why it just is. And um… they haven’t done it in a while but be careful of the things that live there. Some of them seem to be honestly friendly but others… others you really have to question. I don’t think most of them think the same way we do. Some of them offer deals but you have to be so careful, accepting AND refusing them.” He rambled.

"I'll definitely try." It was really sweet he was so worried about Vega. She just laughed and shifted to ruffle his hair before looking over to the TV. "I'm.. probably not going to talk to anyone. At least, I don't plan on it. I'm..really half wanting to just..." She made a soft noise. "Go over there to see what it's like and see it myself so I know if I'm ever in there."
