Chel waited for Shun at the front desk of the precinct.

"Could you tell Kuroda t'come out? Or I can go t'him, whatever," she told the man behind the desk. The man gave her a nod and then pressed a handful of buttons on his phone, dialing over to Shun's office.

Shun answered. When he heard that someone was here to see him, he just let them know to send whoever it was on down to his desk. He had a few things to take care of here, so he hoped that this wouldn't take up too much of his time, whatever it may be.

Taking up time was Chel's forte.

The man behind the desk gave Chel an area to head to, but she got lost. Not being able to read the numbers on the doors or the names anywhere, she somehow ended up in the break room.

"This ... don't feel right." Some of the employees were beginning to give her looks considering she was so out of place.

One older woman approached her and said, "Can I help you find something hon?"

"Uhh, Kuroda's office? Or Desk? I dunno where y'all posted him up."

This woman pointed down a hallway and gave directions. It turned out Chel hadn't been far off, just lost. They needed to make offices that had people's pictures on them; that would be a lot easier.

She didn't bother knocking or anything polite, just entered the area and announced herself. "'Sup cranky."

When it was taking awhile for whoever his visitor was to reach him, Shun wasn't too bothered. He just continued doing his work in the meantime. It wasn't until he heard a very familiar voice, that he looked from what he was doing, furrowing his brow at the sight of Chel.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, raising his brow at her, "Do you actually have something to report or is this about something else?"

After all, he was working.

"Both," she told him confidently. "M'not here fer no reason though. I know y'don't like bein' bothered at work."

With a sigh, he locked his computer screen for the time being, then turned to face her more directly.

"So what is it, then?" he asked tersely. This had better been good. It wasn't like she couldn't pester him at his apartment whenever he got home and all.

"We at a place where I can talk 'bout rainy days or should we move somewhere fer that?" She looked around his little office space. She wasn't sure if everything here was bugged or under surveillance or what. She had no ******** clue how cops operated.

Shun furrowed his brow at that. He didn't have a closed office space or anything like that like Jeremiah did. It was harder to speak in private.

"Not here." he uttered. He went ahead and checked the time. Well. Now was as good of a time as any to go on his lunch break, he supposed. He took care of a few things first, then got up and pushed his chair in.

The detective only gave a curt motion to follow as he started to walk out.

"Something happen where this could not have waited?"

"Kinda. Nobody's in danger or nothin'. You just told me t'tell you if stuff happened, so I did."

Chel didn't really think things through. She just acted on instinct. "M'not interruptin' or nothin' yeah? Ain't it yer cop job t'listen to concerned citizens?" She snickered, knowing full well that Shun would never be in charge of any sort of PR. At least, he wouldn't be in charge of that if the police chief knew what was good.

"Yes," he started, though he didn't continue that train of thought until they were out of the building. No one else was within earshot that he could tell, "But things about the other side still need to be kept on the down low. My workstation here is far too open for any serious discussions about it."

Shun kept a brisk pace, making his way away from the police station. While he walked, he was keenly aware of whoever was all nearby in town.

"Ah. Hey m'sorry fer bustin' in then. I did tell the desk guy it was cool f'you met me at the front too." She had tried. There was an effort.

She paced a little bit before saying, "Hey can y'slow down a bit there speed racer? S'not a marathon, goddamn."

"What. Cannot keep up?" he stated flatly while he made his way towards the park. He also had his lunch in hand, that he totally picked up prior to leaving the police department, "So what happened, then?"

Well s**t. Now she'd been challenged. She grumbled and made a face but accelerated her steps to match his. She hated being called out because she'd rise to meet any challenge given.

"I had a dream 'bout Ashdown an' I made a friend who gave me-" She held up her arm to show a stylized eyeball tattoo on her left arm, towards her shoulder. Her sleeve was on her right arm, so the eyeball tattoo stood out on its own, looking a little out of place even. "-This! Tadahhh."

Shun paused enough just to see what she was talking about. He raised his brow at the tattoo. It... was interesting to say in the least. It wasn't exactly to his tastes, but eh. However, it was the way she had worded things that triggered a red flag.

"Wait. You dreamed? Or you were there in person?" he asked, "It... should not have been able to brand you like that if you were simply dreaming. You are effectively incorporeal there."

"I dreamed. I think. I dunno." She shrugged. "Does it matter? An' it ain't a brand- s'a gift!"
