Creepy Crawlers
Prompt 1

Counts as 3 EXP Growth Points, or 5 RP growth Points (only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

Something strange is going on...

Creatures that don't belong are appearing in the middle of the night, like ghosts, haunting the world around them. Their creepy markings make them stand out, and their dark coloring leaves many feeling cursed. These creepy crawlers are invading the world of Tendaji, and it's up to brave souls to step up and run them off, or even tame them as pets.

Do you think you have what it takes to face these creepy creatures that have wandered away from home? Well test your luck, and see how you fare.

It was just another day at the clinic until the woman started screaming. Tacrith had been sorting papers in the back when the horrid shriek rang out, his head lifting sharply to listen. What was that they were yelling about? Monster? Horror? ..Had another stranger from the larger land come to Yeal again? Sighing, he got up and headed out toward where people were freaking out. He needed to make sure no one killed the stranger from fright.

Out in the hall though, he froze as a.. a.. something scurried by his feet. What the-?

“Tac! Look out for the demon!” someone wailed from the treatment room she was hiding in.

Tac only sighed heavily. “You and your damned demons,” he huffed under his breath with irritation. The thing sure did look weird, but he doubted it was a demon. It was just some other creature that lived hidden in the forests, most likely. Why would it come out now, and into the clinic? It sure stood out in this environment. He followed after the creature, watching as it crawled up along the walls. Some type of large bug.

Now, Tac hesitated. A strange, large bug? What if.. what if it was a product of the Alkidikes? The thought made him pause his movements. Alkidikes were the real demons, not some mystical shadows. If this creature was sent by those monsters... it would have to be removed immediately!

Tacrith usually went with logic and reason with facts, but he had no facts for what this creature was, and his fear of the extremists had flared. Looking around quickly, he ran- er- hobbled back toward the little office he had been in, grabbing a few empty bottles. They weren’t ideal, but those supposed guards that watched the front were cowering with the others. He hurried back down the hall and glared at the creature that now hung from the ceiling. It was a rather nasty thing to look at with those twig-like legs and those dark eyes; and what was that skin that seemed to stretch as it crawled around? It even had some sort of horn? Nasty, indeed. “Be gone!” he snarled, throwing one of the bottles. “Go back to your foul masters!”

As the glass broke, the creature leapt from the ceiling with surprise. With those spindly limbs spread wide, it seemed to fly through the air and landed lightly on the ground. It was more comparable to a falling leaf than to a bird, though... There, it seemed to stop and give Tac curious interest.

Tac was going to have none of it, though. “Get out of here!” He threw another bottle, the creature skittering away as the glass shattered. As he shuffled after it down the hallway, he could hear patients and workers alike were murmuring prayers from the rooms. Ridiculous folk. Some did dare to poke their heads out at the loud crashing though, and started cheering him on. Tac could not have cared less for the praises he was getting. He just wanted the thing out of his clinic!

He chased it all the way out the front of the building, though it had gotten far ahead of him by the time he reached the entryway. Outside, he caught a glimpse of the brightly colored creature slipping into the woods. Good riddance!
