Being out and about late in the evenings was generally never a good thing - particularly not in Destiny City.
Especially not in Destiny City.
For Saffy, however it wasn't something that could be helped, because when some last minute problems had ended up coming up for an event that was due in under a week, there was no way that she could in all conscience get up and just pop off home.
Which is why she was out at such a late time making her way across to the bus stop that was a couple of streets down from the main library, although a part of her was seriously contemplating mayhaps stopping in one of the open bars and perhaps opting to just call a cab.
For now though however, the bus stop it was, as Saffy turned down the street that led past the library proper.Lithiasaur Hope this works as a start Lithia but lmk if I need to tweak anything

Camelot was on patrol with Hadaya, who had opted to accompany him simply because he was a curious cat that really wanted to learn more about Knights and the things they did. Not that Camelot seemed to be up to much. The night was boring, so far, and Hadaya was draped lazily over Camelot's shoulder and snoozing deeply. Camelot ignored him, mostly, though he could not help but steal a cuddle here and there. A fluffy, fat kitty was sleeping against his neck. It was cute.
And he was a sucker for cute.
Something tingled in the back of his mind, like a burning of power that made him stop and close his eyes. He could almost see the aura as it flickered behind him, a stark and different sensation than most of the other things he experienced while powered. This was not the feeling of someone powered coming his way, good or evil. No, this was a unique feeling of pure potential.
An unawakened knight, somewhere nearby.
He was still near the library, and made to hurry back the way he'd come, though he was unsure how to respond to the feeling. It was always a toss up. Step out and be seen, and tell this unsuspecting kid something they could not possibly believe until it happened? Or stay back and watch, and hope to be there when the actual awakening took place? Hadaya's snores did not help answer the question, so he opted to stay in the shadows of the alley beside the library for now.

As it happened Saffy wasn't a kid - she was a woman..
And whilst it was unfortunate that she was one that was on the wrong side of thirty, it wasn't something that she drew attention to and it didn't change the fact that she was an adult.
However whilst she was aware that weird things sometimes happened in the city and was equally aware - from news reports such as Tag Swagger's show - that the city had a terrorist problem, it wasn't something that had really touched her...
Or at least not for the most part.
And she was not aware of senshi or knights or negaverse - the terms not even a blip on her radar.
None of that was on Saffy's mind however as she walked down the road that ran past the library however.
Not the sometimes weird things or the terrorists or Tag Swagger's show.
No her thoughts were on making her way home and the chill of the evening and on a hope that she wouldn't have to wait for too long once she reached the bus stop.Lithiasaur Apologies for the delay with this Lithia

litian no worries, I am super slow. Camelot cleared his throat and moved to follow her. She was going to get away from him, and he wanted to give her a heads up about what he felt. It was his duty, after all, to do something now that he had the power to feel these new knights before they awakened.
"Excuse me, miss?"
He had to be the weirdest man to ever approach her in the darkness of night. He was tall, clad in armor and a long cape, all of it real and heavy and making noises as he moved. No matter how he tried to approach or how polite he was, he was still going to look like a crazy.
But he smiled warmly anyway.
"Ah..." Except now what did he say?

The sound of clanking impinged itself on her consciousness and Saffron's first thought was to dismiss it because obviously she was more tired than she thought..
But for a figment of her tired imagination, the sound was too constant, too...
Too out of place and by the time that the throat cleared she was already whirling around to look behind her.
She found herself staring, not able to help herself because the smiling man behind her was in what looked to be full armour - and it wasn't even Halloween - at least not yet it wasn't.
"Halloween's on the 31st you know" she said warily, because whilst the smile seemed friendly enough, the weirdly dressed man was an unknown...
And she was a lone woman and it was late.Lithiasaur Apologies once again for the belated tag

litian Haha no worries, dude. I'm the slowest thing on the planet. Camelot frowned at her, nodding his head as he glanced down at his armor. It wasn't like he didn't know what he looked like: he got those comments all the time, almost without fail. And in this situation, she had every right to point it out to him. He was some weird dude, talking to her for no reason while dressed up like a knight.
He could not think of anything more weird, really.
But he knew he had to speak with her, to make contact with a potential knight and keep his eye on her in case she awakened during some sort of peril. He was not going to leave her to her own devices, when he knew he could help her. Still, there was a natural progress to awakening for knights, one that he had a deep belief in. Potential shone its brightest when it was most needed, and that was when a knight awakened. He... he would just be there, in case things got out of hand.
"Forgive me," he said awkwardly, thinking maybe he shouldn't have spoken to her, but instead stuck to the shadows. "I just... ah. Well. I have something to tell you that you may not believe. In fact, I'm absolutely certain you won't. But it's true, and it's important. And I'm here to help you."
He watched her expectantly, gauging her reaction before he tried to continue.

A part of Saffron was telling her that she should be making a run for the bus stop - or better yet to somewhere that was much more public-
And whilst this wasn't up there with the completely out of there weird, being addressed by a man dressed up as something out of a book - or too-early-for Halloween attempt - was kind of a step above the normal weirdness that was Destiny City.
Something - perhaps the awkwardly sounding earnestness of his voice - made her hesitate.
Something made her pause, as she raised an eyebrow instead "Go on..."
And whilst the raised eyebrow suggested that she wasn't completely convinced, she was at least listening.
For now.
