Reinerite had spent her afternoon after classes working on classwork as Ashley before slipping out to work on carrying out her duties for the Negaverse - namely working on energy gathering for her quota.
One of the bars where she went to look for drunks had been temporarily closed, which meant having to hunt for an alternative venue and that had led to her evening ending up being much longer than she would have liked.
Eventually however, Reinerite had managed to gather enough to be worth handing in - or at least she thought she had - which meant that it was time to see if she could find a Captain or General willing to give her a lift to Negaspace so that she could hand in this evening's gatherings.
She found herself yawning slightly, a part of her relieved that there was no one around to see the gesture...
Or perhaps it had been a thought too soon as at that moment she picked up on the flare of a chaotic aura - a strong chaotic aura.kuropeco sorry for the delay with this start Kuro, as always lmk if I need to tweak anything with it smile

It had been a while since Aurostibite had last checked up on Reinerite; a new study was long overdue, and while he trusted those under his guidance to know their way without too much interference on his part (with the glaring exception of Kainite), he did at least want to make sure they were doing well.
And that they weren't getting into too much trouble. Kainite.
Reinerite, however, was another story. She had shown promise from the start, and Aurostibite trusted her to do well - he had not been disappointed on this front. Having tailed her for the past hour as Magiore Carpenter so as to not arouse her suspicions, he had watched her gathering energy with an impressive amount of dedication.
Pride was a dangerous thing, but he felt it now, even as he powered up, Aurostibite shifting into being just a few feet away from his lieutenant. He stepped out of the shadows towards her, boots clicking on the pavement, the sky overhead a mottled gray-blue.
"Reinerite," he said lightly. "Good evening."

A part of Reinerite was regretting letting herself give into temptation and yawning, even as grey eyes glanced around in an attempt to try and ascertain the source of the aura.
She did not however summon her weapon.
Because whilst there had been occasion where her quota attempts had been unpleasantly interrupted, the aura she had felt had been been a chaotic one rather then the overly sweet one that she had come to associate with the senshi pests.
A part of her was hoping however that whoever it was out there had not caught the yawn, just as it was hoping that the slight flare of embarrassment that she had felt was not showing on her face...
And then her head turned in the direction of the sound of footsteps on pavement and Reinerite found herself doubly hoping that the embarrassment from earlier wasn't showing.
"Good evening General" she said politely as she watched General Aurostibite approach.kuropeco apologies once again for the delay Kuro and I will try to get to our other open rps as soon as I can

Aurostibite's weapons were not summoned either, not yet at least; he had not felt the need to do so, not when the person in question was one of his own lieutenants. Reinerite was a capable woman, from what he'd seen so far; he had little doubt that she would be able to handle things on her own.
The yawn was, unfortunately for her, not missed, but he didn't mention it, Aurostibite offering his lieutenant a nod instead, a polite greeting. He was not a man who smiled often, but she was given a vague, slight upturn of his lips; an indication of a smile, or at least, a suggestion of one.
"How are you faring?' he asked her, coming to a stop before her, arms held loose at his sides. Behellagh was somewhere in the Rift, but he didn't need to summon her, either. "It has been some time since I have last spoken to you. I hope you have been doing well."
He reached a hand up and readjusted the brim of his hat so that it sat a little higher on his head, the shadows across his face slightly less pronounced.
"How have you felt, adapting to life within the Negaverse?"

It had been a bit of a while since she had spoken last with her general, in fact Reinerite thought that the last time had been back during the Negaverse tournament that he and General Xenotime had run.
A part of her was still disappointed that she had effectively ended up being knocked out in the first round, but Reinerite was working on it and was sure that she would do better next time round..
No she would make sure that she would do better.
"Yes" she nodded. "I have been fine. I took the opportunity to study the Nega training guide and I have signed up for the programme that General Leucite is running which has been interesting."
There was no trace of sarcasm to her words - Reinerite's voice matter-of-fact - however despite this 'interesting' was perhaps an apt choice of words given that she and the other recruits had been exposed to tear gas by the other general in the short time that the programme had been running.

He had not expected his lieutenants to get far; the bar that Aurostibite had set for them was high, but it was not impossible, and if they reached it, he was satisfied, and if they surpassed it, he was pleased. As it was, he was simply pleased in general by how far they had all come - barring Kainite, but he was always the exception.
He gave a nod now, Aurostibite's expression one of satisfaction.
"I am glad to hear both of those things; I'm unfamiliar with General Leucite, but if he teaches well, then I'm sure you will learn well. Tell me some of the things you have picked up over the course of time as lieutenant; are you finding anything particularly difficult or upsetting?"

"The Nega training guide has been good at explaining things - such as power signatures and auras and the mechanics behind energy draining."
The training guide had been something that had come up randomly in a conversation with a Captain who had been kind enough to ferry her to Negaspace and the same Captain had also been nice enough to take her to where the guide was kept.
"It also has a section on the different divisions and the purpose behind them - well at least the basics behind them - although the different branch meetings that I went to expanded on the guide."
She had made both the Information and Infiltration meetings, but not the Spec Ops meeting, because it had been on the same day as the Information meeting and whilst the General-King running it - General-King Axinite - had been kind enough to let them leave early, his meeting had been so interesting that she had found herself staying until the end.
"General Leucite spent the first session of the training corps going over a lot of the basics - as well as ways in which we can use our weapons - and in the last session he went over first aid."
She pulled out a small but serviceable-looking first aid kit and held it out to Aurostibite, "Both my partner and myself received one of these after the session as a reward for the work we put in."
And Reinerite was pretty pleased with it - given what the two of them had had to work through to earn it.
She shook her head at the question about whether she was finding anything particularly difficult or upsetting "No - but I have found that Order auras seem to be overly sweet" almost cloyingly so-
And this was coming from someone who liked desserts.
But whilst she was still finding her feet trying to both juggling classes and homework as well as the late evenings that working on quota necessitated, it was something that Reinerite kept quiet about.
Because it was for her to work through - and she was totally working through it - or at least trying to.

Aurostibite had not glanced at the training guide in years, but it was a reasonable resource that would be good for the newer trainees. He gave a nod to Reinerite at the mention of divisions, a stray gust of wind causing a few strands of dark hair to fall across his cheek.
The first aid kit was taken and glanced over, Aurostibite peering curiously at it. "This is very handy," he said, sounding only a little surprised. "It seems this General Leucite has done very well in providing exercises and resources for the Negaverse; this is very pleasing."
He passed the kit back to Reinerite, and gave a short, small laugh, surprising even himself. "They are, aren't they? The Order signatures to me have always felt extraordinarily sickly sweet to me; I find I'm a great deal more comfortable with the Chaos ones."
Aurostibite considered his lieutenant curiously.
"You spoke of the Negaverse branches; is there one you believe you'd be more interested in than another?"

Reinerite nodded in agreement at Aurostibite's comment about Chaos auras as she slipped the first aid kit away because she found that she very much preferred chaotic auras too.
There was something grating about order auras, most likely due to the awful cloyingly sweetness that seemed to be intrinsically linked to them.
"There's two branches" Reinerite admitted in answer to Aurostibite's question "Information and Infiltration" because she thought that perhaps she could do well in both. "Although perhaps Information slightly more than Infiltration" and not just because the General King who oversaw the branch appeared to like baking.kuropeco I'm sorry that this took me so long

He considered Reinerite for a long moment, Aurostibite's expression falling back into his usual stoic, unreadable guise. She was a smart woman, with a great deal of potential and strengths to her; she had been one of his first recruits, after all, and he found himself more invested in her path than he had thought he would be, perhaps because of this.
"Information is the branch I report to," said Aurostibite, head tilted. "It's a good division, but it's preferable to those who would rather not be as forefront in the fields as some of the others. Infiltration is a well reputable branch as well if you'd prefer to have a little more front line experience."
He swept a hand through his hair. "Either I think would suit you well. It's more of a matter of which you believe you could be the most beneficial in."

There was a momentarily glimmer of surprise in grey eyes because Reinerite hadn't known that Information was the branch that Aurostibite reported to.
Not that the knowledge made a difference - well make that that Reinerite was not planning to have the knowledge make a difference–
Because when the time came for her to put in an application she wanted to put in for the branch that would ultimately best fit her.
"Thank you" she said in answer to the compliment - because it was something she appreciated. "I want to think a few things through before I sit down to make a decision and maybe do a couple more Training Corps classes" because it was possible that something might end up coming up there to push her mind in one direction over the other.
It wouldn't be tonight though.
"I should probably work on finishing up with tonight's quota though" she admitted, because she would be able to head home for the evening once she was done with it and had turned it in "Unless you have need of me for anything General?"
She made it a question, the words simple and matter of fact.

Aurostibite's lips formed a faint smile, almost breaking through his usual stoic manner. "You're welcome," he said, with a single nod of understanding. "I am glad to hear that you're taking things seriously here; you've done extremely well, I hope you realize that."
A breeze blew by and fluttered a length of his hair. Aurostibite glanced at their surroundings, blue eyes tracing the landscape before they fell back onto Reinerite.
"No," he said, "I don't have anything else for you tonight; I'm glad we had the opportunity to speak as it was, it's...satisfying to know that my recruits are as capable as they are."
He gave her a small nod and took a step back, leaving her to her duties.
"Goodnight, Lieutenant."
