//doesn’t even matter //
The Ocean was a deep blue-violet. It was strange but it was also oddly perfect. Strange lights flickered there beneath the waves and something within him answered them.
A yearning, an emptiness and a loss that he had no right to feel, but that it had nested there within the hollow of his ribs where acceptance should have made it’s home.
She was dead she had to be, he was far too sure of that.
Everything he’d wanted to do, or even try…
And he was, as ever, a failure.
Even if he couldn’t have saved her, that she died alone, a simple acceptance.
He knew what he would have done if she’d asked him, even if he would have balked at first he knew.
All that remained was the ocean it seemed, the blue-violet lit with deep see stars. How easy would it be to join them?
Because god, it felt like they were calling him home.
