Hullo there, we're doing a Masquerade this Halloween! Dress as spooky characters and have fun with guests during this dark and horrifying event (lmao). It'll be a great help if anyone wants to host with us (Love Renewed and Mush) yes? Lots of internet cookies involved!
It will happen whenever Gaia decides to launch their Halloween event, so likely the last/second to last week of October, to the first few days of November.

As admin I get to code, edit etc. But Mush and I will talk about the co host and contest parts. So far we're thinking an art contest for sure. And some kind of writing contest.
We are also talking about a mini game with the rng for dispersing clues so everyone can rp, no staff looks particularly guilty, and I can have a hand without rping. Something like the first person to rng number '__' finds the bloody knife. Or something.

Are you thinking thread graphics or something else? I have a basic layout up. I have to fill it in as discussions continue. And we need graphics still. I was hoping one of our resident artists would post.

The writing contest should be based upon the fact it is a Halloween event or possibly based upon whatever theme we choose. (We've had rewriting the ending of a story before. We have a fairy tale writing contest before. So maybe ghost/spooky story contest with certain restrictions or a type of character that must be used?)
Have RNGs been used for previous balls for contests? It just sounds complicated and I'm wondering how it guests react to that type of contest.

I really like the idea of using the post actions for this. That actually sounds really cool.
And yeah the Admin handles creating and maintaining the forum thread, posting any announcements in the thread, all of the back-end stuff that helps the Main Host and Co-Hosts focus on the plot and the guest.
