Name: Taka
Race: Alkidike
Gender: Female
3 Base Traits: Stubborn, Proud, Off-standish
Personality: Taka is stubborn and headstrong. While she may fail sometimes (or even a lot), that will never be able to keep her from completing the task or trial. Though it takes her a few tries, she makes sure to get the job done. This leads her to be a very proud girl, doing everything she can to come out on top. When she does fail, her pride gets hurt, and she does everything in her power to fix that. Though she doesn't reject situations where teamwork is required, she does have a preference to work alone.

Description: About average height for an Alkidike with lean muscle. Will be rather curvy.
Accessories: Just leather bands - often to tie back her hair in a ponytail or pigtails.
History: Blossomed by a single mother wishing to pass on her skills to the next generation Taka was brought into the world expecting to fight. Unfortunately, Taka only knew her as a youngling because it was her mother who was later killed in a hunt by a monster which decided to fight back. Before then she was living with a band of Alkidike hunters and had learned much about the hunt while growing up. It was these sisters who took her in after her mother's death and she herself sought to become strong so that no monster could take another again. In turn she would train to become the best huntress and rise to any challenge. After mourning, it later became pride which caused her to look forward to hunting every dangerous beast that she possibly could, and show her accomplishments to her tribe. Though she isn't at the age where she is allowed to hunt on her own, the time of her proving is coming near, and she grows ever anxious to show her tribe how much more she can grow on the path towards being the best Amazon.  

When Taka is faced with failures of sorts, she often gets angry at herself for not being able to perform, leading her to sulk in solitude. Her pride does sometimes get in the way with her and other people, making her a bit of a loner since when she disagrees with someone about something, she will get upset at them for not seeing things her way. There are only a handful of people who know how to deal with her stubbornness, and that's her tribe.

Generally, she can be a bit on the pessimistic side, but she tries her hardest anyway. Keeping the balance between the two states of mind is a constant struggle for her, since being too optimistic can be quite dangerous in the hunt, but being too negative can also be fatal.

Taka was quite young when her mother passed away, but her death left her somewhat bitter, but mostly towards the beasts that killed her. She was a bit young to remember much of her mother, but they were indeed close, as learning the hunt was mostly what they did together. Sometimes Taka will reflect on her mother's lessons and nurture, and often look to the night sky and speak as if she were still around.

Taka is a single child, and her mother was single as well. It was always just the two of them, and her tribe of course.

Taka has only encountered other earthling races a few times during trade with the tribe, but regardless of how different they are from her, it doesn't bother her. She respects anyone who can hold their own during a fight with a beast, be them alkidike or earthling. She does feel like Alkidikes are somewhat superior in hunts and gives them an extra edge, but it doesn't mean that she sees the strengths in other races, so she doesn't count them out completely, so to speak.
