Rumors are spreading of a traveler who has entered the area. Apparently, this traveler has a strange item they claim comes from a different time. It's hard to believe what people are saying, and the only way to really know what is going on is if you see it with your own eyes. So, you make it a point to travel to where the traveler was last sighted, and as you approach you notice a crowd. The traveler is holding up an object, high above their head, and shouting across the crowd. Some approach to get a closer look, some appear fearful, but everyone can agree...this is something no one has ever seen before.
What exactly is the traveler showing off? Roll 1d6 to determine what strange item has been found using the guide below:
Rolled 3-4
The traveler pulls out a strange piece of metal, wound around and almost bouncy in nature. It seems a bit sharp on the edges, but in general it looks like it could possibly be some sort of jewelry piece, if it was smaller.
Make sure to respond with your reaction to these items. What do you think they could be?

One of the scariest things in the land of Tendaji isn't a ravaging War Beast terrorizing villages. And it wasn't the black creatures that were rumored to be stealing children in the shadowy lands of Yaeli. No, it's something far worse...
A bored teenager.
Nothing strikes fear into the heart of a grown earthling quite like the thought of a troublemaking teenager looking for something to do. With this threat looming over their heads on a day when no performance was to take place, the adults of the circus troupe clawed their minds for something to distract the youngsters' with while they got some much needed work done. Salvation came in the form of a rumor: there was a traveler in the area with a strange item from another time that was causing quite a buzz. With a few carefully crafted hints dropped in conversation by the adults, the teens of the camp "came up with" the great idea to ditch camp and go check out the mysterious item for themselves.
Moving in a gaggle of giggles and conversation, the rowdy group of teens made their way to where the stranger was last sighted. Leukos gossiped with his friends, everyone trying to out-guess the other as to what it could possibly be. They eventually came across a crowd, the traveler standing in the middle of the semicircle of earthlings with an object held high. The teens were able to worm their way to the front, to get a better look at the contraption he was holding. Quite a few were obviously disappointed when they saw it was just some twisted piece of metal, but Leukos looked intently at it and drank in every word the traveler shouted to the crowd.
He was a foreigner for sure, with jet black skin and frosty white hair tied up in loose braids. Leukos had only seen one or two others like him in his life. What a treat to be able to see someone from lands so far flung from his own! The traveler elaborated on the origins of the object, saying he found it tucked away in a secluded cave in his homeland, a lost relic from the distant past. With much bravado he pressed down on the object between his hands: an audible gasp swept the crowd as it compressed tighter and then sprung back into shape when he released the pressure. How extraordinary!
"Amazing isn't it?! It reforms with such ease? Yet I see doubt in some of your faces still... do you think I jest, that this is some form of illusion?" The traveler scanned the faces of the crowd before setting on Leukos."You, boy, you seem like a man who knows something great when he sees it. Come here and show these good people that this marvelous metal is no parlor trick!"
Leukos was caught off guard by the man's offer, but with much prodding by his friends and feeling all eyes on him, he sauntered forward and took the item tentatively. It was heavier than it looked and cool to the touch. He ran his fingers over the metal, turning it over in his hands, surprised at the sharp points at the ends. Once he was sure he had the attention of the crowd on him alone, he held it before his chest and squished it with as much power as he could. The metal contracted, his muscles vibrating trying to keep it in place. With a coy sidelong look at the traveler, he then suddenly flung his hands apart, letting the object fall and dramatically spring back into shape. The crowd gasped and a few in the front lurched forward to catch the falling object. But just as soon as he had released it, Leukos had dropped into a lighting fast squat, letting it fall back safely into his waiting hands. He hoisted the item above his head for all to see again, drinking in their startled faces, before handing it back to the traveler with a flourish.
The stranger belted out a hearty laugh, smacking Leukos on the shoulder. "You little rapscallion! I felt my heart leap right up into my throat! What flair you have... I see a bit of myself in you!"He turned to the crowd again."As you saw for yourselves, this wondrous item can handle any surprise!” The traveler continued in this manner for a while longer, Leukos returning to his gaggle of friends who gave him playful punches for his antics. They grew bored of the spectacle and headed off to cause trouble somewhere else, but as he walked away, Leukos took one last look at the strange item, wondering what its impact could be on the future…
