Now that Goretti was a full on Eternal Senshi, he’d found that he had a bit more self esteem--but also was at a different loss. He’d spent so long focusing on getting stronger, on growing out of being a chibi, that now that he had he almost didn’t know what to do.
So he was out on the streets, looking for trouble (to stop, of course). It was an odd sensation, being so much more aware of everything.
Or maybe that was just in his head.
He had felt a few energy signatures, always distant and out of his way and gone before he could get close enough, but he wasn’t giving up hope as he meandered through the park. He could see movement every now and then, but it was so small that he figured it must have been a squirrel--but his eyes were drawn to something he couldn't shake, so he finally called out, “Hello?”litian Let me know if this is okay! <3

Liryn was out and about on the streets as well, although he was on more of a ramble than full on patrol.
But that didn't mean that he wasn't keeping an eye - well make that both eyes out for trouble.
Because you just didn't know - not in Destiny City.
It had been a quiet evening however as Liryn padded along the streets, pausing every now and again as things caught his interest - a shop window display here, some random junk there, a torn down flyer across the street...
It had meant that it had made for slow going, but Liryn didn't mind because it wasn't as if there was much happening with his evening.
He was padding down the sidewalk by the park when he picked up on his first aura of the evening - a strong warm blaze of an eternal senshi and whilst tracking auras was never an exact science it seemed to be coming from somewhere within the park.
It had borne checking out, Liryn padding his way through the gate and in between the trees until finally he came across the source of the aura..
Or perhaps it was more that the source of the aura came across him.
Either way however it didn't stop him from cheerfully looking up at the dark-haired eternal senshi as he cheerfully called out "Hi."Kyuseisha no Hikari it's perfect cat_biggrin - apologies for the delay in tagging back

Immediately, Goretti bubbled. His eyes lit up and he moved quickly to the cat, dropping into a seated position. “Hey!” he greeted before he reached over to pet the Mauvian. “I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages, Liryn! How have you been?”
He was in a much better mood than the last time they’d spoken--and for good reason.
He didn’t have to worry about being a chibi senshi anymore, or just a Super Senshi. He’d reached both of his goals, and had a new purpose. He didn’t just have to wander about what he was doing here in Destiny City--he had his homeworld to worry about, too.
Now, he was as strong as he could be.
Now, he stood a chance.

Liryn had been puzzling over why the dark-haired eternal seemed so familiar, but as the other spoke up it was as if something had clicked.
Goretti?
The senshi in front of him wasn't the Chibi Super that he had run into last year. In fact the senshi in front of him wasn't a Chibi senshi at all..
And he had the aura of an Eternal senshi - which meant...
Which meant
"Goretti - it has been a while" he said "But I see that you managed to figure out what to do" his cheerful voice was happy. "And you managed to go Eternal too."
He was happy to let the dark-haired senshi pet him, a purr creeping into his voice as he continued "And I have been doing okay myself."
Athene was back from the UK and he had had news about Ida - the first such news in almost a year - and even though he had yet to see the Orchid senshi that he counted amongst his friends, Liryn didn't care.
For now the news was enough.Kyuseisha no Hikari I'm hoping to tag our other open rp by the weekend :3

"Yes!" Goretti exclaimed, smiled plastered on his face. "And I can't help but think you must have been at least partially responsible! If it weren't for your kind words and encouragement, I don't know what would have happened! I mean, I still would have tried my hardest, but you gave me a boost to my motivation than I definitely needed!"
Goretti made himself comfortable immediately, working to scratch behind the cat's ears. "I am happy you are doing okay! --Only okay, though? What have you been up to? Have I missed anything?"

Liryn laughed "I'm glad what I said was able to help a little - although the hard work was all down to you."
He continued "And it's been a little quiet on my front" he said, he thought about it before adding "Although it's not a bad quiet."
Because apart from Athene being back and news about Ida, the only other thing was his little project that he had resurrected and was working on.. Well that and...
"Oh and I've worked out how to do the cat-human things that some of the other mauvians know how to do" he added, because whilst it wasn't something that was that new now, it was new in the sense that it was something that he hadn't been able to do the last time they had met. "It's super useful but it also gives off a super big aura."Kyuseisha no Hikari apologies for taking so long Kyu and am hoping to get to our other open rp relatively soonish

"Oh, congratulations!" Goretti said, clearly excited for Liryn. He realized, however, he had no idea what Liryn was talking about, so tilted his head to the side.
"What cat-human thing is it that you can do?" he asked after a second. He was particularly ignorant in the ways of Mauvians; he knew they were more than just talking cats, but he couldn't help but just think of them as magical cats. Careful not to accidentally insult, he tried to treat them all with respect--even if he couldn't help but try to scratch them all behind the ears.
This was probably a good idea to try and learn a little more about them; Goretti suddenly felt bad that he had never really thought to ask before.

"Thank you" Liryn said with a cat-grin, because he was really happy that he could do the cat-human thing.
"And the cat-human thing is the other form" he explained. "The not cat form - it allows us to do things that we can't quite do as a cat" a cheerful grin "And I'm taller - much taller."
To be honest Liryn wasn't quite sure if he was explaining it well enough for Goretti and so he added "I can show you, but only briefly."
Because whilst it did give off a big aura, he wasn't picking on any nearby auras-
And he did want to show his friend so perhaps he could made a slight exception to his not using it in the city outside of HQ...
Besides it would only be for a little bit and for a little bit wouldn't hurt.
At least hopefully it wouldn't.Kyuseisha no Hikari apologies once again for the delay Kyu

"Oh," Goretti said, seeming entranced. He debated for a moment but couldn't stop himself from nodding. "I do want to see," he confessed, clearly excited. "I didn't know cats had another form. If it's okay, I'd really like to see!"
He was still smiling, enthusiasm too great to hold in.
"Do you get any neat powers when you do it?"
Truthfully, despite all that Liryn had said, all he could imagine was a human sized cat--and all Goretti could think about from there was trying to ride something that large.

Liryn laughed at Goretti's enthusiastic response "No, no new powers" he admitted, because he could use the kitty beam in either form "But I do get hands."
He continued "Okay here goes..." And then he shifted -
The small cat gone to be replaced by a young man with jade green hair, tabby grey-ears and tail.
The eyes were the same – cheerful purplish eyes, Liryn's aura shifting to become exponentially larger.
He winked, bright eyed at Goretti "Ta da!" And then shifted back to the cat.

No new powers was a little disappointing, but Goretti could understand the appeal of hands--he used his every day. By the time Liryn had transformed, Goretti's eyes were nearly twice as wide and a grin split broadly across his face.
"Liryn!" he exclaimed. "That's amazing, that's so cool! I can see why you can't keep that form for so long--your energy signature was crazy! I couldn't sense anything else, it felt like I was being suffocated."
He paused and then clarified, "Not in a bad way! I just don't know if I've ever felt anything like that before. You must be really strong now!"

"Well I can keep it for longer for things like space travel" Liryn said cheerfully, because he could have the benefits of hands without having to worry about the correspondingly large auras attracting things...
Well okay it wasn't something that he had fully tested out, but it didn't stop Liryn from being sure on it - at least until and unless he was proven wrong.
He gave Goretti a feline grin as he continued "It means I can help more" because whilst he could do a lot as the cat, there were times where having hands was much more useful.
Lending a paw and protecting were big things at the core of his personality.
He winked as he added "Especially on space trips" because Liryn loved space travel and wasn't above fishing for a future invite.

Goretti smiled once more and nodded quickly. “You’re such a nice guy, Liryn. I’m really proud of you. Have you been on a lot of space trips yet? I haven’t been on a ton, but I’ve been to my homeworld a few times before. It’s really strange up there—if you’ve got free time, you’ll have to come with me sometime. I don’t really know what’s up there but I know that it would probably be a lot more fun to explore if I had a little bit of company. Right now, ah,”
He laughed a bit nervously. “It’s almost a little spooky up there! It’s really magical, though. There are a these really tall trees, all white, and a lot of the plants glow. Every time I’ve gone up, it’s been dark. It’s really neat. You want to go see it sometime? I’m trying to explore. I think I want to try making some maps. I have no idea how big that place is, but I want to find out!”

And he meant it because there was no way that he would ever turn down the offer of a space trip - any space trip - and Goretti's description of his homeworld only made him want to see it even more.
"And I'm sure that I can bring some paper along and a pen if you want a paw with drawing those maps of yours" or perhaps hand was more accurate given that he could access the other form.
Either way though, Liryn knew that a trip to Goretti's homeworld was unlikely to be on the cards tonight, not least because it was getting quite late.Kyuseisha no Hikari Apologies for taking so long to tag this Kyu, we could probably wrap this one up soonish if you want :3

Goretti laughed and nodded eagerly. “Then we’ll have to plan for it. It’s a whole new world for me, so I can use all the help I can get! I’d invite you up tonight, but it’s already getting a little late and I have to get home before my dad notices. But we should plan for it next time, okay? So don’t be a stranger. I’ll keep my eyes open for you, and you look for me! Unless you have an easier way for me to contact you?” he asked hopefully.
He wasn’t sure what the best way to get in contact with a Mauvian was, but he was eager to do anything that meant he could stay in contact with a friend. Especially someone who was planning trips to his homeworld with him.
