■ SENSIBLE Uriel is first and foremost a very calm, reasonable person, which comes in handy when working in the often hectic environment of a hospital. Especially when dealing with cursed artifacts. Uriel can usually be trusted to have good judgment and not over or under-react, even if in a stressful situation.
■ EXASPERATED Uriel, while not one to easily lose his temper or cool, is often exasperated by the people and events unfolding around him. Being extremely logical means that by definition everyone else seems extremely irrational at times. He may not be easily provoked, but he is easily annoyed, and thus can come across as a bit touchy or stiff.
■ REALISTIC Uriel believes in being as drama-free and down to earth as possible. This tends to edge into cynicism, as he knows just how stupid or immoral other people can be. However, he strives to avoid jumping to conclusions, and is usually a very practical person.
■ SERIOUS Uriel is not by nature a very light-hearted person. That's not to say that he walks around looking like a cloud of gloom and doom 24/6, but he's not what anyone would call a 'jokester' or someone inclined to finding every little thing humorous. He tends to be extremely honest and direct, and typically won't bother with being sarcastic or passive-aggressive.
■ MATURE Uriel, although he is an adult, is one of those people who is commonly described as been having 'born 40'. He's always been one to act older than his age, even now that he is an adult. He never really had any teenage rebellion or 'party years', and has never felt the need for them, either.
■ HARD-WORKING Uriel has always been someone who's had to work hard to get where he needs to be. While smart, he didn't always have the top grades in school, and had to work hard to keep up with the classwork. He's still very proud of his exam grades and his career thus far as a Healer.

CHILDHOOD Uriel was born to a sixteen year old girl from a religious family. His father was 'some local punk in and out of juvenile hall every other week'. The rest is easy enough to guess; he was given up for adoption at birth, and very quickly taken in by a couple who'd been having difficulties having children, Cora and Garrett Walsh. Cora was a witch, while Garrett was a muggle, and they were quick to recognize burgeoning magical skill in their new baby, when toys floated above his crib and his mobile moved on its own accord. Only a year later, to their shock, the couple found themselves pregnant, and Cora gave birth to a pair of twins. For some time it was just Uriel and his siblings, Jessamine and Tobias, until their parents later adopted another pair of siblings, Eleazar and Althea, and took in Cora's sister's orphaned daughter, Violante. Uriel found himself as the oldest of five at the age of eleven, and not terribly excited about it. However, his childhood had been a happy one, and he was eager to go off to Hogwarts, hoping to end up in his mother's house, Gryffindor.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR Uriel wound up in Hufflepuff, not Gryffindor, but enjoyed his first year at Hogwarts all the same. He spent much of his time studying and getting used to all the various classes, and somewhat dreading the entrance of the twins the next year.
SECOND YEAR Uriel spent the majority of his second year in a magical coma, after a group of dark wizards plotted to rid the school of those not of pure magical blood. He did wake up at the end of the year, completely disoriented, and feeling robbed of a chance to make friends.
THIRD YEAR Uriel counted his third year as better, despite the disastrous Fall Festival, and the discovery of a body in the Dungeons. He made one good friend, a fellow Hufflepuff in his year named Claire Hall, who he began to develop a bit of a crush on, although he did his best to ignore it.
FOURTH YEAR Uriel spent his fourth year trying to be there for Claire, who had lost her parents and younger sister in a car accident over the summer. He also witnessed another house mate named Olyvia Catlin having a breakdown in the Owlery, and although they weren't close friends at the time, just acquaintances, she confessed her troubles with her family, which he tried to empathize with.
FIFTH YEAR Uriel spent his fifth year in a panic as he tried to prepare for the notorious OWLs, and didn't have much time for anything else besides that and his new prefect duties, although his feelings for Claire continued to grow.
SIXTH YEAR At the start of his sixth year Uriel finally worked up the nerve to ask Claire out, and enjoyed a quiet, peaceful year with her while dating, although NEWTs loomed in the horizon.
SEVENTH YEAR The summer before Uriel's seventh year his sister Thea died, and he felt forced into adulthood, as the oldest child in the family. He was also named Head Boy, although at that point it didn't really matter to him at all.
POST GRADUATION Shortly after graduation Uriel and Claire split up, as they'd grown apart over the past few years, although they decided to remain friends. He focused on getting his position as a Healer in training, choosing to work on the floor dealing with cursed objects. He eventually reconnected with Lyv, and the two started a relationship. They married in the spring of 2035, and planned to start trying to begin a family as soon as possible.
