It was a rather authoritative rap on the side of the van that would probably wake Vega up. If she had been sleeping in it. He hoped she was not sleeping in it but considering the long and varied relationship between Vega and Jeremiah- She was probably sleeping.

"Frickin-" Pink hair was frizzed out everywhere in a cloud around her as she sprang up at the first knock on the window. She glared over at the offending window covered with a shirt and yanked it down before putting it on. With a grumbling noise, the girl climbed into the front seat, hitting her knee on the stick shift and cursed up a storm before finally that window rolled down. ".....Did you bring me coffee with this rude awakening?" Of course it's Jeremiah. She's completely not surprised.

Without a word, a coffee was actually held towards her. Jeremiah rolled his eyes, not at all surprised or seemingly bothered by her gruff manner. This was old and familiar. "Out, Vega. With proper clothing." Which was to say fully dressed, not that he cared about her attire. Jeremiah believed people could wear whatever they wanted so long as they were clothed.

She took her coffee and sipped at it slowly as she listened to him to tell her to get out. With a grunt she spun around in the chair, the shirt long enough to cover her a** and grabbed some jeans that had more holes in them than actual material. Looking to the door, Vega made a turn around motion with her finger. Safe in the knowledge he would turn, she just slipped these jeans on as best as she could with one sip of coffee in her. A couple snags here and there as her toes got caught in strings, but she put them on, grabbed her coffee, and then moved to open the door. "Yeah, yeah, I'm comin'. What? I can't sleep in a van anymore? That illegal now too?"

Jeremiah just gave her a brief look before he sighed and turned around. Of course he would. He turned and only turned back once he heard the door of the van open. "You can sleep in the van, Vega," he said with a sigh. Though why she was not sleeping in a house- No, he was not a bleeding heart. "What is not working is where it is parked. There's been a complaint that this is a derelict vehicle and needs to be moved or it will be towed." He had only picked up the call because he heard her name mentioned. As much as he had dealt with her over the past few years? He kept an eye on the hoodlums he put time in.

"Problem there, buck-o. This van has no engine. It's not even mine. It's a pile of s**t that is now my home." Now she was worried about him towing the hunk of junk. Maybe she should save up and get her own van to sleep in. "It's been here for a long time and now someone's snitched on me? Figures. ASSHOLES." That last word she raised her voice to her 'neighbors' to get the point across.

"Vega." His voice was always calm, always even, but there was something in it now that said are you serious as well as why are you living in a van. Also because yelling at the people who filed the complaint would get her nowhere. Jeremiah finally pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers. "Do you know someone else you can stay with?" Bright blue-green eyes looked to her. "Or ... move the van to?" Was he even indulging this idea? Apparently.

"I mean I could probably move it to the freakin' alley or something." She put the coffee on the top of her van and went to work on dragging her hair into a ponytail. Her hip was cocked to one side as she did it and she looked the old man over. "Look, I'll have it moved, okay?" That was basically her answer to staying with someone. Right now she'd been through all her friends and they couldn't stand her living with them for more than a couple weeks. "I'll see if I can get some of the boys to shove it outta sight, just... Don't tow it."

"You're misunderstanding, Vega. If you can give me a location, I will get it moved for you." Jeremiah straightened back up and looked her over as she fixed her hair. After all, he had brought her a coffee and was now- "I'm here to make sure it isn't towed."

She stared at him with the coffee lid rested against her bottom lip. Both brows raised, her eyes narrowed and she studied him before she dropped the coffee back onto the van. Was he joshing her? Vega looked around, expecting a squad car or something to roll up and try to arrest her again. "...Yeah, uh.. I dunno, what about near the bridge? In the over growth? Nice and private." She had a feeling this was a test for some reason.

"Vega," he said, giving her a distinct look. This day has seen more expression on him than she has probably seen in years. "Do you know me to joke? Or make offers without backing them up?" His phone was pulled out of his pocket, screen thumbed as he unlocked it and started looking through his contacts. "It's not a permanent solution, you need to get an actual place, but it'll do for now. Let me make a couple calls and I can make it happen."

"Look, I'm workin' on getting some kind of shithole to call my own one day." She ran a hand down her face and just bit down on her lip. She didn't want to admit it, but this one wasn't as bad as the other assholes who dealt with her. "Thanks for the coffee... This ain't even my van. It's been here and I just kinda broke in and moved in after the engine was scrapped."

Jeremiah sighed, still giving Vega those looks he was like to give her. It was not just in his eyes as it usually was but also the slight downturn of his lips and the way his posture shifted. He was very much aware of Vega's habit of not getting along. If only because he had broken things up once or twice. "For the moment I'm going to ignore that you said that," that bit about breaking in, "and be amazed the vehicle hasn't been moved yet." Jeremiah hit dial on a number. "Get your things settled in the van while I make this call." He paused a moment, hand pressed to the receiver end of the phone to muffle his voice slightly. "... and you're welcome for the coffee, Vega." final word count: 581 5eppermint Coffee can prob wrap this RP soon? maybe do another RP after it's been moved if you want, : D?
