Roll - 80 Location - Tale Beast - Perzi Word Count - 504
Even though she had been home for a while now she still wasn't used to the atmosphere. Her mother was smothering and since her brother was no where to be found, well, she was her mom's sole focus. Syqvara sighed as she sat out on the porch of her mother's house. She turned her eyes to look at the house and wondered when she had stopped thinking of it as her home. Something somewhere along the journey she had taken had changed. Not only had she gained confidence in herself, for the most part, but she'd become more independent. This was her childhood home. She would always be welcome and she certainly had a room still.
Sy looked out at the ground wondering if she should maybe ask her mother about moving out. Of course she knew it would make her mother sad but she needed that extra space. Not just for herself but her pets. Elyam and Drent. For now they were out in the stalls but they had grown used to sleeping close to her so she knew they were restless. There was also the rustling around that hinted at that. Though there was one sound she knew her birds couldn't make. A growl.
Siting up more straight the red headed Dream walker looked around for the source of the noise. Of course she didn't need to look too hard. The glint of moonlight off the crystals alerted her to the presence of the perzi. Sy tilted her head slightly as she tried to figure out what it was doing in Tale. Granted she didn't live in the far north but she wasn't exactly close to the border either. Her right hand reached to grab her staff as it leaned against the house next to her chair. Once she had it in hand she brought it around in front of her so that she could grip it with both hands. Syqvara watched the beast for a little bit longer before she finally got to her feet and made her way down from the porch.
When she was at the bottom step she noticed that the cat had turned it's attention to her and was arching it's back looking like it was ready to pounce. Since she didn't recall doing anything to provoke it she simply blinked. Though she had no intention of becoming prey so she channeled her magic into her weapon and made it give off a glow. This made the hairless cat pause and reassess her, though it didn't appear to be deterred. So Sy sent a crack of lightening at the ground just beside it's paws. When it hit the magic sizzled across the ground and gave a small zap to the perzi. That seemed to do the trick and spooked the beast into running off. Syqvara felt bad about scaring the little thing but she didn't want to be attacked, nor did she want her familiars to be injured because she was too gentle with a stray animal.
