Patrolling as an eternal senshi was both easier and harder than patrolling as basic or super; the higher power level meant you weren't as appetizing to most of the Negaverse agents or the youma, but it also meant that you were far more likely to run into a General - which was, by all rights, a really raw deal.

Generals didn't have to touch you to drain you. They could summon skilled youma (of course, captains could summon them too, but unless the monster belonged to them the likelihood they'd be properly obeyed was iffy) and...well. Schörl. The Generals that Aegir had met were frightening creatures, wholly inhuman as far as he could tell - save for Ashanite. His former friend seemed to still be capable of the kinder human emotions, unlike the others he'd met, and while Aegir did not like to generalize or stereotype...he couldn't really deny the fact that the longer folks were exposed to Chaos, the less humane they presented.

Being a seasoned senshi didn't mean that Aegir only engaged with those of a similar level - he still helped anyone that needed it, which was why when he found a low-level officer with her hand in some helpless civilian's chest, he didn't hesitate to press the attack. "Hey!" Picking up a trash-can lid, the curly haired eternal sent it sailing towards the lieutenant and her victim to hopefully separate them, Captain America style - or as close as physics and luck would allow.

"Get your hands off that star seed!"

It hadn't been Stellerite's intention to put her hand in the man's chest, just like she hadn't meant to do it to Lucas. She'd been kissing him, as she preferred to do her energy draining , when her hand had traveled down his chest and her hand slipped through into subspace.

Clearly she needed more practice at this whole starseed thing.

Get your hands off that star seed!

Ugh, what was that voice and why was it interfering with her make out session? She only had half a second to react, pulling her mouth away from the man and taking his starseed with her when she scrambled to move out of the way of the trashcan lid.

It hit her target instead as he fell forward, following Stellerite as she hurried back. "Why don't you mind your own business a*****e."

Aegir felt awful that he'd accidentally hit the civilian but knew he couldn't sit and fumble about it - not when he now was under a time limit to get the starseed back and put it into the guy's chest before he died for good.

"This is my business, miss pottymouth! Protecting civilians from the likes of you is my job." A short hop brought him nearer Stellerite, fists up and at the ready. "Give back the starseed and go on your way."

It was a choice he was giving her, but he wasn't entirely certain she'd take his offer, and as such was more than ready to hit her with his magic.

Her hand was wrapped tightly around the starseed, blue eyes narrowed in a glare as she looked at the senshi who had the audacity to scold her. "We were having a fine time before you showed up," she snapped, not bothering to try and hide behind her ploys like she would normally.

Really, if Aegir hadn't showed up, she probably wouldn't have bothered with the starseed, but now that she had it firmly in her grasp, she wasn't going to give it up.

Alkaid would likely enjoy a energy snack.

She stepped back again, heel knocking against some discarded bag of trash and she glanced behind her, realizing that the alleyway ended at a brick wall.

Boo.

"Mmm, I'm afraid I don't take orders from you."

"This is a fight you can't win, miss. You're woefully out gunned - and trapped." She was a lieutenant, he was an eternal senshi - even if they just went for hand-to-hand combat, he was stronger by virtue of his station. Not that he would be stupid enough to put himself anywhere that close to an angry Negaverse officer that wanted to do him harm purposefully. Accidentally was one thing.

"Might want to reconsider that today!"

Even though he had her trapped and her rank was very much lower than his, Aegir was not going to treat her like a push-over; cornered animals were the most dangerous, after all. And what if she had back-up nearby? He didn't feel anything, but that didn't mean she wasn't there wiling time away tormenting civilians until her companion arrived.

Teleportation was a really handy trick, after all.

"Hand over the starseed, and I don't use my magic on you. Last chance to resolve this peacefully."

Stellerite knew that she was outmatched. She didn't quite understand what exactly it was that told her such, besides the senshi's loud mouth, because there were many things she was still learning. Alkaid had left her well informed but without practical application everything was something she knew in theory.

"Maybe I am," she replied thoughtfully, looking from the hand that held the precious soul gem to the man at the front of the alley. "But if you want this," she held the thing between her thumb and forefinger for him to glance at before it was wrapped tightly in her fist again, "it one piece, I suggest you step aside and let me go on my way."

It was a gamble, one she knew she had a high probability of losing, but the blonde was putting her bets on the idea that he cared more about saving the civilian than bothering with little ol' her.
