There was a remote town which was once the haven for sirens and witches. But because of them possessing powers that are hazardous, they were hunted down, and a few barely survived. This is a story of a fallen angel's encounter with a captivating witch who must survive from the dangers, and possibly fall in love with him.

Lucia Whitewood

Whitewood forest was all too familiar to the people of the small town. But no one knew it better than village of witches who resided deep inside of it. Whitewood forest; famous for its white oak trees. Rumored to glow and sparkle in the night. If there was anyone who knew this forest inside and out, it was Lucia Whitewood. The youngest Whitewood village elders son. Normally Lucia would roam the forest, playing with his siblings and friends. Sadly this time was not the case. Twigs and branches were snapping. Colliding into the young blond male's peerless porcelain skin. "Over there!" A rougish voice beckoned in the night filled forest. Lucia stumbled and ran through the forest. "Gloria? August?" Lucia called as he sobbed. The small blond covered in dirt, bruises and cuts. The blond pushed through the thick forest a bit more. "Adam? where are you?!" Lucia called sadly. Gripping a thick spellbook to his chest. Lucia looked back towards the direction he ran from.

Images of his home village drenched in flames and destruction was still easy to see. Screams and cries of his fellow villagers filled the night. Filling the empty spaces in the forest in which the trees had yet to do. "There!" A voice called. The rougish voice called again. Snapping Lucia from his space out. Sadly by the time he realized it, Lucia was surrounded by townspeople. "...please....we did nothing.." Lucia cried. Luckily he was able to push through the crowd of people to run deeper into the forest. The young witch was tired and emotionally drained. "Nico...thank the spirits...quick.." Lucia said as his fox spirit familiar finally came out of hiding. Lucia held open his jacket for the spirit to tuck itself into. Without another second wasted, Lucia hid himself inside of a hollowed out oak tree. His normal hiding spot where he would hide away from his siblings when they would bully him.

Obsidian wings flapped a bit as a male figure landed softly onto the forest grounds, adjusting his hood as the flying appendages vanished like smoke. Souichi was still looking for the plant necessary for his friend, Hinata, who was working at the apothecary. That herb was rumored to be located on that verdant spot near the village which was said to be the haven for witches, meaning he had to fly in order to reach there. He still had his weapon in case animals would come by and defend their territory. But so far, there was not even a single creature that popped out and bared its fangs at him. So far so good, but his keen senses were on the lookout. He couldn't afford to let his guard down.

His booted footsteps were silent as he ventured deeper into the forest. Suddenly, a fox appeared out of nowhere and his golden orbs dilated in surprise. But he decided not to snoop the fox, waiting instead for the right moment to do the approach. After a few minutes, he sauntered, still recalling the direction of the tailed creature, until he noticed an oak tree that was huge. The ginger-haired moved closer until he noticed a figure sitting in the hollowed cavity of the trunk. Sou blinked in surprised, not expecting the sight and resisting the urge to yelp out in surprise.

Lucia Whitewood

Lucia had to be sitting in the hollow oak tree for a few hours. The with still clinging the massive old book to his chest. "Are..are they gone Nico?" Lucia whispered. Trying ever so hard not to cry anymore. The fox spirit poked it's head out of Lucia's jacket. Without any warning Nico fluttered out the jacket and ran out the tree. "Nico..." Lucica called sadly. The blond didn't want to be left alone. Lucian couldn't believe it. The townspeople raided his village. Lucia and his people did so well not to interfere with the townspeople. Lucia just couldn't sit here. He had to find his parents and his siblings. Weakly pushing himself up, Lucia slowly moved towards the entering of the oak tree. Only to see Nico trotting back in. "Nico? Where did you go?" Lucia asked the familiar. Lucia looked up to now see a ginger haired boy. This boy was a brand new face.

Lucia pushed himself away quickly. Only to trip and fall deeper into the oak tree. "P-please...don't..." Lucia pleaded weakly. Lucia cringed as he twisted his ankle in the fall. Another injury to add to his cuts and bruises. Lucia noticed the ginger haired boy was holding something. Lucian couldn't make it out in the darkness. But whatever it was, it had to be some sort of weapon. "We didn't do anything....please...." Lucia cried holding his book up a bit higher. Magick was pouring off the book. Nico yipped and walked to the ginger haired boy. Nudging his snout against his leg towards Lucia. The light of the burning village was still apparent in the night filled forest. The townspeople running around still looking for anymore witches to burn, to hang.

There was panic clearly shown on the stranger's face as the witch moved away from him. Sou panicked slightly as the other tripped and winced because of the ankle twist. When he saw the sparks of magic threatening to pour out from the book, that was when the archer had to do something. He then felt the fox brushing against his leg, somewhat conveying a message that the master was in deep trouble. Before the witch would do something because the ginger-haired was mistaken as an enemy, he raised his free palm up, trying to calm the other down. "H-hey. I'm just here to search for something, not to hurt you. I just stumbled upon you because of that fox." He knelt close to the fox, giving the creature a pat on the head.

Sou then inspected the witch's body and noticed that the ankle wound was not the only injury; there were other multiple cuts and bruises tainting the once flawless skin. He shook his head, concerned for his safety. "You do need to have the scars treated. Can't let you walk because of your broken ankle. I may have to send you to my house."

Lucia looked from behind the massive glowing spell book. Lucian lowered it only slightly. The book kept it's intense glow. Lucia looked to Nico who was nuzzling the ginger haired boy. "Nico...." Lucia said in a scared tone. Nico gave a yip and left Sou's side. Immediately going to Lucia's side. Sitting next to his master. Lucia flinched raising the book again as Sou got closer. "Y-you're one of them right?" Lucia asked timidly. More tears fell down his face. "The townspeople...why are you all doing this?" Lucia asked sniffling. Lucia so wanted to push Sou away and run. Sadly his exhausted body gave up. Not wanting to do anymore running. Not wanting to feel anymore pain. Nico gave a small bark. It gave a snarl as footsteps were heard. Lucia looked to Nico and then the entrance. Nico gave another yip, causing a veil of vines and leaves to cover the entrance. Hiding the three from the oncoming townspeople.

Lucia blinked as Nico did so. Lucia looked back to Sou and then back to his fox familiar. "....are you sure?" Lucia asked. Nico trotted back over to Sou and nuzzled the fallen angel. Nico could sense what Sou really was. Lucia nodded and looked back to Sou. Still terrified but he eased. If his familiar trusted this boy, then he would have too. The townspeople ran by the oak tree they hid in without noticing them. Thanks to Nico cloaking them.

Sou choked out a gasp when the fox left his side and returned to the owner. Again, he was mistaken as one of the people who were on the hunt for him and he sighed with a sad smile."Look, you are mistaken, okay? I'm just a traveler who was just searching for something important in the forest, not to kill you like the townspeople you mentioned. But I admit, I did hear rumors about the place before." Based on the frightened expression of the stranger, those rumors were indeed bad. Really bad.

The growing of vines to conceal them all startled him a bit and he blinked in puzzlement, completely in shock. He then returned his attention to the stranger, noticed the exchange of glances and the fox nuzzled his side. Sou chuckled and gave it another gentle pat. The archer nodded in response to the question and grinned. "If you won't mind me having to carry you bridal style and flying straight to my adobe. I'm a fallen angel, you see."

Lucia was in no real position to protest. "The rumors are fake....we're a peaceful kind..." Lucian quickly said in his and his people's defense. Lucia looked to the entrance as the footsteps disappeared. Gripping his spellbook closely, Lucia looked to Nico one more time. Taking a deep breath and exhaling the young witch nodded to Sou. "Okay.." Lucia said lowering the book down. Revealing how torn and ripped his clothes were. "Nico..." Lucia said pulling open his shirt by the collar. The fox spirit yipped playfully. It's lower half turned that of a specter. Nico leaped up inside Lucia's shirt. Getting comfy as it poked it's head out.

Lucia looked back to Sou. "I'm Lucia Whitewood....I thank you..." lucia said bowing his head. He looked back to the concealed entrance. The wall of vines and leaves vanished, clearing the entrance. "If we hurry, We can escape before the townspeople turn for another lap" Lucia said. "But be careful, dreadful spirits fill the forest skies during the night" Lucia finished as he warned Souichi.

The fallen angel hummed in wonder at the clarification. "Yep, I know not all witches are bad people. Even fallen angels can be a bad bunch when intentions are malevolent." But at least Toshi and Hina are not part of that evil bunch even with some arguments here and there. At the witch lowered his book, the ginger-haired could see more of the scars. Now he felt bad for the poor kid. He let the fox retreat to its master so that it would feel comfortable. Truly, it was a cute sight, but Sou would savor more on that later when they would depart to the Takamoto household.

The male witch introduced himself as Lucia Whitewood as Sou fastened his bow onto the quiver together with the arrows. He smiled warmly. "I have to say, that's a nice name. My name's Souichi Takamoto." The vines then vanished and he listened intently about leaving abruptly and the dark spirits lurking at the skies at night time. The bowman lifted the witch bridal style, grinning and trying to reassure the other. "I'll make sure to kill them, then." And with that, he took off to the night sky, though he had to explain to Hinata about the situation later on alongside the apology.

Lucia gave a slight blush as Sou picked him up. Lucia was nervous as the fallen carried him out of the oak tree. Praying to the spirits that the townspeople wouldn't return. His heart was racing. Lucia curled up close to Souichi. His head resting on the fallen angels chest. "Souichi Takamoto..." Lucian said in a hushed tone. His body oddly felt comfort as Souichi took off into the sky. Lucia peeked from Souichi's chest. Admiring the stars. Never have Lucia ever felt so close to the stars before. Lucia gave a soft exhale as his head rested on the angels chest again. This time falling faint. The result of his body finally relaxing from the adrenaline and stress all from this single night.

As the fallen angel soared across the sky, he felt the witch relaxing under his hold, though he took notice of the blush coating the mage's cheeks as Lucia snuggled on his chest. Indeed, the sight was beautiful with the stars and the glowing moon as their companions, but he still had to be on the lookout in case spirits would charge and attack them abruptly for trespassing. So far, they decided to let them go... For now, at least. Sou just wanted to take care of the poor witch until he was back on his feet again. He would not let anyone harm the innocent boy, not by a long shot.

By the time Souchi arrived back to the family adobe, his landing was soft. He took a few steps forward before knocking on the door, notifying his parents of his arrival from the trip.

(Taking a nap after this.)

Upon touching the ground, Nico poked it's tiny head out from Lucia's shirt. The fox spirit examined the new area closely. Feeling a bit weird not seeing the mass forest. Nico gave a small yip as it took in the scenery. Nico looked to the fallen angel. It's onyx eyes gave an ethereal luster. "Medicine...he needs medicine" An echoed pierced Souchi's mind. Nico blinked it's lustering eyes and looked back to Lucia. The witch seemed paler than usual. Nico gave a whine and descended back into Lucia's shirt. Nuzzling the witch to keep him warm.

Lucia gave a shaky breath in his sleep. He was sweating a bit and he curled closer to the fallen angel. He wanted to open his eyes to see where he was. alas his body was rejecting the very thought of it. Lucia gave another staggered breath as he tried to breathe in and to exhale. The spellbook he held in his hands finally vanished into thin air. Leaving a small trail of what seemed like stars. The small trail only lasting a few seconds.

((Have a nice nap!))

The fallen angel gave a few more knocks on the door before Nico, the spirit fox, gave out a yip, inducing a glance from Sou. The animal's eyes glowed a little and gave a telepathic message to the archer and the ginger-haired nodded in affirmation. Truly, poor Lucia was not feeling well because of the ordeal back in that town. At another whine from the fox, he was about to say something when the spellbook vanished and the sliding doors finally opened, his parents' faced morphed with confusion and disbelief. Sou explained that the guy needed help and although the dad was feeling slightly hesitant, the mother allowed her son to do the thing.

He first gave the witch a spongecloth bath before cleaning his wounds and applying the gauze, dressing him up in a simple white robe. His mother was the one providing the futon for Lucia to sleep in for comfort. After laying the blanket onto the unconscious body, Sou sighed in relief. Now, all he could do was wait patiently for the witch to rouse from the slumber.

Lucia Whitewood

Lucia slept for what felt like forever. Never has he ever slept this hard before. Nico wiggled out of Lucia's shirt. Sitting next to him as he was resting. The fox familiar seemed sad. Nico simply gave a tilt of it's head to Sou. Swaying its spectral tail before vanishing into thin air. Lucia slept for a few more hours. Slowly opening his eyes. A ceiling? Giving his eyes another blink or three, the with shifted his head, looking around the room. He was most definitely no longer outside.

Giving a small but more steady sigh, Lucia slowly sat up. Now fully taking in the new environment. This was most certainly a house. The witch looked out the window. The sun was just starting to break into the sky. Lucian looked down, noticing the white robes he was dressed in. Also noticing the bandages that were patching him up. "Nico..." Lucia whispered for his familiar. Looking first in his robes, then to look under the blankets he was under. Lucia huffed not knowing where the familiar was. Then it hit him. Where was that boy? Souchi. Lucia blinked looking back out the window.

As it turned out, Sou was actually sleeping after his nightly rituals before bedtime. The fallen angel was lying in his own futon as he waited for the witch to wake up. But sleep claimed him first before he would get to see the other guy waking up and slowly recovering from the condition. His own hand was beside him, fingers curled, as he snored softly, ginger hair splayed out on the pillow. Indeed, he was tired as hell from the ordeal, but fallen angels had a slightly faster recovery than humans, so he would feel good after the rest. He shifted slightly so that his face was shown to Lucia, peaceful and child-like. The archer's mother would compliment him sometimes for being too cute, which he took it happily.

Meanwhile, the mother saw the witch staring at the window and smiled warmly. "Feeling well, young child?" she questioned the witch with a soft tone in order not to disturb the slumbering bowman.
