DarkHeart flicked his tail behind him as he walked along, he was trying to think of ways he could be an asset to their current herd but he wasn't exactly sure what he could do to help provide for them. He could heal, but so could everyone so that wasn't really something that he could add. Though, he did have a knack at locating things.
All except his brother that was. He wondered if he would ever see him again. It had been so long ago now that they had been with one another he almost forgot what he even looked like. Did he even think of Dark? 'Of course he doesn't. Why would he want to think of you? He probably has other important things going on.' The voice taunted towards him and Dark just brushed him off.

He had brought a few leather packs along with him that were slung across his back to put things he might find in. He was searching for some herbs he was familiar with. While most herbs were common knowledge across all who were familiar with horticulture there were also those who knew more stuff than others. He knew a few things here and there, but he wouldn't call himself an expert by any means.
'Oh please. You ARE NOT that good at things... What are you doing? Trying to impress the new herd members? Show them you're not weird?" DarkHeart shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Who asked you anyway?" He responded gruffly, the voice ignored him. Of course it only spoke back when it felt like it. With that he continued on with his search for useful things to bring back to the herd.

Sometimes he wondered how the spirits had decided it would be a good idea to 'gift' him with the voice that forever tormented him. Though at the same time if they hadn't he'd be alone quite a bit. Granted he was physically alone most of the time but at least mentally he had someone to talk to. Which was nice.... Sometimes. Despite the fact the voice was a complete a** about things most of the time there were times in which he was almost thankful for him. Almost.
'Come on buttercup, you're making me gag with your sentiments. Quit thinking about such gushy things and focus on what we're out here doing.' At least it had gotten him to stop harassing him about finding herbs and what not. Flicking his tail behind him as he walked, he listened to the way the leaves crunched beneath his hooves and smiled slightly. Fall was upon them and he couldn't help but smile. It was always a pleasant time of year, as far as he was concerned anyway.

One of the main reasons he probably enjoyed fall so much was because he was born during it. There was just something wonderful about the way the air smelled and how crisp and cool it felt in the early mornings and late afternoons. It was just a comforting feeling. Like coming home after a long time away. It was just nice.
The thought also made him frown since it made him think of his brother but he sighed and pushed the thoughts aside. He was sure they'd run into one another some day soon. At least he hoped they did. 'I don't know why you're so hung up on finding him. I bet he isn't even looking for you.' "You don't know that." He finally interjected. Most days he could ignore him, but sometimes he just pushed Dark's buttons a little too much for him to allow it to go un-noticed.
