[Tale] Rhythm of the forest (Uzumati x Faamy) FIN

Uzumati was wandering about the forests like usual, but this time he was collecting. What was he collecting? Anything really. As long as it had some appeal, Uzumati found himself stopping to pick it up. Loose feathers, some fallen leaves, some flowers, anything that he found laying on the ground the boy gathered into his arms. More importantly where the feathers which he even would climb trees for in his hunt.

He had already killed some birds earlier in the day -for food and feathers- but now he was just passing time by exploring the trees. That was one good thing about the forest - unlike those boring and strange earthling settlements at least the forest always seemed to be constantly changing. Even after years of living here he would find himself surprised. For now though he was eager to get a hold of a rather large feather which had gotten caught in an upper branch. So clinging tightly to a lower branch with his thighs, Uzu started to try and reach out with an arm while the rest of his 'treasures' waited below.

Tale. She was finally able to walk into Tale! Sauti was behind, and the world was spread at her feet! The pockets of trees here were much fuller and lusher than those in Sauti. It was actually a little overwhelming to her. She felt encased by the forests, finding discomfort in the canopy of leaves blocking the sky.

The villages were in the woods though, and so she needed to travel through the trees to find a place to work. At first, this pocket of forest seemed empty to her. Walking along a trail, she paused with confusion when she saw a small pile of.. things.. on the ground. What had collected these? A quick glance showed no one standing around, so she squatted for a closer look. Feathers? Leaves? Maybe some little critter or just even the wind?

He was so close...fingers reaching out the wild boy just grasped the edge of the feather. A little wiggle to the left...then a bit more to the right and it was freed! In his concentration Uzu hadn't even realized that a woman had walked into his territory at the same time as he freed the feather. It's descent was the only fair warning though because as he looked down to watch it fall, the boy let out a gasp of surprise to see that there was someone below him!

Someone that wasn't simply below him, but also was in his treasure pile! Gaze widening in surprise Uzumati reached out a hand as if protesting against the stranger before losing his grip at the same time. A loud crack! announced the breaking of a slender limb as he tumbled downwards towards the other earthling...

Well, that was interesting. Sifting through the pile with a finger, she felt herself calm the tiniest bit. They had feathers in Sauti. They had flowers. It would be fine!

The sudden noise from above made her practically flip over to look up. First was a pretty feather, and then.. a face? A whole body!

Already nerved up in this new land, Faamy yelped and backed away as quickly as she could, back thudding up against a nearby trunk. Part of her was already scolding her for not trying to catch the falling man, but instinct was faster than rational thought.

He was flailing in his attempt to grab any branches that flew past his face, but Uzumati often just ended up with more twigs and leaves instead. Still it was enough to slightly slow down his fall so that when he did fall onto the ground with an 'umph' at least his whole back wasn't broken. Instead the boy just let out a groan of pain as he simply laid there with his bruised bottom.

Eventually as the swirling feathers above his head started to merge into one, Uzumati simply blew the thing from his hair before turning a slow gaze to the side so that he could stare at the culprit of his fall - the strange woman. And there he laid just simply staring at her accusingly...

When the man hit the ground, Faamy winced with concern. When the man didn't jump up right away, she looked curiously into the tree above. ..Would any more people be dropping from the branches?

Looking back down, her eyes widened at the accusing glare. Of course, the next moment had her noticing the rest of the man. 'Dayyyyyyum~' "Hey, darlin'. You okay there?" she asked finally, taking a couple steps toward him.

Did it look like he would be okay? Uzumati wanted to snap at her, but thankfully for the stranger the boy was mute. So instead he just let out a warning growl at her approach before he finally rolled over onto his stomach. Fixing his glare on her, Uzumati used his arms to help push him back up into a sitting position...which immediately led to a yelp of pain as his backside felt like it was being stabbed. Ow!

Wincing, Uzu instead forced himself into a wobbly kneel before reaching out with his arms to scoop up the mess that had become of his 'treasures'.

The growl was certainly a surprise, making Faamy step back quickly. ...Growling? This.. was a person, right? The yelp of pain made her brow knit with concern though. Perhaps the fall had hurt more than it had looked? ..That pile that the guy was hovering over did have any number of items that would hurt to fall on.

"Hey. D'yeh want me ta look ya over? Yeh don't look so well."

Uzumati's focus was on his pile of goodies as he sorted through them. It appeared that they were all still here - well for the most part at least of what he could remember before falling. His prized feather was in here as well, but his expression of joy melted into a more sorrowful one as he obviously held up a bright green feather that was bent. Had he broken it with his fall?

Pouting, the boy sighed as he allowed the feather to simply fall from his fingers. Green was one of his favorite colors as well...the sudden voice made him glance up with surprise. She was still here? Hadn't his growling warned her away? Her question made him tilt his head in confusion. Look him over? Wasn't she already looking at him plenty enough? Ever so slowly the boy shook his head 'no' before trying to return to his pile.

Of course his legs - protesting from the fall and the awkward kneeling position - buckled at the same time and he found himself having to sit backwards to keep from falling on his face. Which in itself was another mistake as pain once more made him let out a gasp of pain before forcing him to shift back towards his knees again...

A simple head shake! That was progress from growling, at least. Still frustrating though. "You look like ye're in pain. Jus' lemme-" The boy's falter made her gasp sharply, and she couldn't stop herself from reaching for the boy's arm to help. "Come on. Let Faamy see what's crampin' yer style."

Uzumati's head was still dazed from the flare of pain that had startled him. It was that spinning dizziness which made his guard lower enough for not only the girl to touch him, but to also navigate him towards her. Of course by the time he realized how close he was to the stranger Uzumati growled. But -the boy having only ever encountered a female up close once before this- could only do a soft growl and nothing more because honestly he didn't know what to do.

What was she even thinking of doing? So in confusion he simply just stared at her and waited...

Oh, the poor thing! Like a little dizzy sailscale pup! Even the soft growl this time was more cute than aggravating. "Oh, stop that growling," she scolded lightly with a pout. "I'm jus' helpin' yeh." He was sitting still though... so, Faamy gently put a hand at the top of the leaf boy's back and carefully smoothed it down toward his hips, checking for particularly tender areas that might indicate a bad injury and for anything that might have pierced into him from the impact.

Helping? Uzumati pouted at the word before stilling. He had met a few other earthlings before and they had all been...decent company. Not that he had sat around long with them or anything, but he had helped another boy out before as well. Was she trying to help him then as he had helped that other stranger? Even if he felt a shiver from the girl moving around him, Uzuamti tried to still - something that honestly wasn't so hard considering the pain in his backside.

The touch made his spine tense and as she lowered it the boy felt his face flush. What in the world was this stranger doing?! A quiet growl of protest left his throat as he slowly tried to tilt his head to glance back at her. Of course at the same time her hand connected with the low of his back and a small whine involuntarily left him before he could protest against her touch.

For once, Faamy might have possibly felt a tiny little bit of shame. She was checking the feral type of guy for injuries, but she couldn't help noticing, and admiring, the firm musculature of his back hidden by his vest.

Her hand froze when the touch initiated that little whine though, her brow knitting even tighter. "Sweetie, yer pants 're in the way." Lips pursing, she leaned back and put her hands onto her him sternly. "Ye're gonna hafta pull 'em down so I can see what's goin' on there." Somehow, she managed to say this with a sincere expression despite the giggle fest going on inside her head.

His what was in where? Uzumati felt his face flushing even more. For someone who didn't speak and lived in the wild spending time with an uncle had made him remember how to speak the majority of their language. And that was what caused his surprise. Weren't these things that were supposed to stay on? His uncle had seemed rather upset last time he tried leaving the forest without them...

Confused and conflicted he just slowly turned - with a bit of pain - to stare at the woman as if to ask if she were truly serious. ..
