Alchemy
Taught by Sebastian Voros
Alchemy is an ancient tradition of sacred chemistry used to discern the spiritual and temporal nature of reality--its structure, laws and functions. Alchemy is a practice that seeks means of transmuting one element into another (e.g., base metals into gold), an elixir of life or longevity, and the preparation of substances with unusual or unique properties. This elective involves a quest for knowledge and wisdom, and is not for the fainthearted.

In this course, you will be introduced to the principles and elements of design and their history. Students will develop a keener sense of anatomy through still life and figure drawing. This class also explores different mediums. Basics of Healing

In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of emergency medical care. They will study wilderness survival techniques such as how to dress a wound with clean materials and which herbs can be used to relieve ailments. By the end of this class you will be able to identify and treat common illnesses and injuries effectively with minimal supplies.

The goal of this course is for students to learn to appreciate dance as an art form, as well as to develop fundamental skills with the principals of ballet as the foundation. Our curriculum also includes techniques in contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, break dance and more. Each semester will end with a mandatory performance.

In this course, students will study the ancient art of divining the future. Their third eye will open through the participation in rituals practiced throughout the ages, and across many different cultures. Students will gain profound insight into the coming days of themselves and their peers, as well as a vital understanding of the threads of fate that intertwine us all.

This course is an introduction to critical thinking in tandem with philosophical disciplines, their methods, doctrines and leading ideas. Students will zero in on several how classical and modern thinkers formulate their questions, and how they grapple with them in both religious and scientific realms of thought. In addition, the course will provide a preliminary orientation to the notion of philosophical debate and the ways arguments should be analyzed.

Study Hall is an optional course that is held at the end of the day and takes place in the library. Anyone can come in during any time during Study Hall for an opportunity to work on homework with the help of a tutor (if they need one) before after-school activities commence.
Wood Shop

Students will learn the techniques of carpentry and build on their knowledge of planning a project, selection of materials, and use of tools to produce a finished product. Emphasis will be on safety and quality of workmanship.
