Where did her parents disappear to sometimes? She had seen them venturing this way time and time again and she had figured why not check it out? If they came this way then she could too right? Long limbs carried her lithe frame through the fog past the security of the herds boarders. She had watched them walking this way the other day and wanted to know what they did. Perhaps she could find out what they did and help out! her little tail flicked behind her rapidly as she moved along slowly, much like a deer does when they're first venturing into an unknown area. Her ears remained alert and she kept her eyes moving, hoping to figure out what it was they did so often out here.

Eir had taken it upon herself to take Chimera under her wing, so to speak and was constantly trying to make sure she stayed out of trouble. Though it seemed to be she had ventured from the lands in a path Eir was familiar with as Chimer's parents often went this way as well. She however used it to gather a few herbs that didn't grow within the boarders. She was running low fortunately so she wasn't too concerned about having to go after the young fawn. Her bushy tail flicked behind her as she walked along, her pouch bouncing gently against her chest. Wings extended and then folded against her body as she walked along. Despite having wings she rarely flew, she didn't really feel the need to ever really use them. Granted she knew how to fly, she just never did. Unless it was absolutely required of her. Golden gaze kept a sharp look out for any trace of the young fawn and she finally spotted some of her tracks in the dry earth. She figured she'd catch up to her soon since she was much larger and could walk further at a much faster pace.

Chimera realized, shortly after she had continued walking that it had likely been a bad idea to wander out on her own like she had. She wasn't used to the area and she hadn't really thought the whole thing through. Assuming that everything would of had a 'set' path or at least had some form of familiarity but it didn't. Letting out a small bleat in worry she stopped walking and looked around for a spot to curl up and hide until someone she knew or recognized came around.

Figuring Chimera wouldn't have gotten too far ahead she picked herbs here and there as she found them. It was rather slim pickings as the drought had not been kind to them but it was still something. She wanted to have a semi-decent stock pile for when winter hit. She'd have to build a greenhouse eventually but that would have to wait till the spring. Though she could start working on designing one during the winter, she just wouldn't be able to put it to use until next year.

Hooves kicked up dust as she walked and she fluffed her wings a bit as she continued trailing the little fawn. It wasn't long before she found the black and red form of Chimera curled up in some brambles and she gave a frail smile towards her. "I'm here now. Would you like to help me find some herbs while we're out here?" She asked her hoping that would pick her up since she seemed a little scared that she had wandered out there without really thinking. She wasn't much to judge though. She was young and didn't know.

Chimera heard the sound of hooves falling upon the cracked earth and watched as a familiar pale form came into view and spoke to her. It was a familiar sight to her mainly because of how her and Eir had met before. Though Ramiel had found her first and then Eir and joined in. At the mention of helping her collect herbs she got up rather quickly and almost stumbled but flicked her tail behind her in glee. "Yes, I would like that very much." She said no longer feeling bad about having wandered out here alone. It was just she had seen her parents do it so many times before she figured she'd be able to do it to.

Eir couldn't help but smile at the young fawn as her demeanor instantly changed. "Come, let's go this way then." She said nudging her forward gently. She made a mental not of everything she needed but finally stopped doing that since there was a great deal of things she needed to get. She figured they could start with something simple for Chimera to locate. Like moss. Not that it was really used for anything remedy wise, but it was good for packing wounds as well as insulation. "First we're going to be looking for moss. Do you know what moss looks like Chimera?" She asked the fawn softly as they moved along. She figured it was easy enough to picture if she didn't know and Eir described it to her. She was hoping they'd find some on the way and she could show her an example so she knew what to keep an eye out for. Eir would worry about some of the trickier herbs and fungi. She didn't want her getting sick or anything on her watch. Figment and Lucid would NOT be happy.

Chimera walked alongside the white female and looked up at her when she asked her if she was familiar with moss. Moss.. She played the word around her mind for a bit. She wasn't exactly familiar with the name. She felt as though she may have seen it before but she couldn't be sure. Eir would have to tell her more. "What does it look like?" She asked curiously, wanting to know as much as she could. "I think I might know, but I'm not sure." She wanted to be a good help to the mare. Especially since she was the only Shaman in the herd.

She figured she might not know but it wasn't a big deal. "No worries. I'll try to find some while we're walking to show you. But it's a spongy looking patch of greenish brown fungus." She said trying her best to give her a somewhat accurate description she could visualize if she wasn't able to find her some to look at as a reference. Guiding Chimera towards the left a bit they headed into a small grove that was riddled with birch trees and a couple oaks and a few maples. She figured they could also collect some birch bark while they were here as well. "Why don't you start over there with the maple and oak trees. You can usually find it growing on their bark and roots." She suggest and nudged her towards the trees. Turning her attention to the birch tree she selected a few pieces of bark that was already peeling and slowly removed a few bits here and there. Not too much as it wasn't too good for the trees if you took too much.

Chimera gave a small nod of her head, okay. She was certain she should be able to find that. Moving further away from Eir she began her search for this Moss stuff.

She watched cautiously as the fawn moved away from her in her search to help gather. Satisfied she wasn't going to get injured or lost she turned her attention towards some of the plants growing around where they were. Some of them were strange to her which was good in her book! If they were strange then she didn't know what they were quite yet. The mushrooms she was looking at where thin and somewhat tall with a rusty brown color. When it came to strange plants she tended to try a little bit of one and if it was bitter or made her mouth feel weird she wouldn't swallow it. If nothing really happened from the taste alone she'd swallow a little bit and see what happened. She figured the same would work with these little beauties. Finding one that was particularly small, since she was large and even if it was poisonous it wouldn't kill her with how little she was about to ingest, she took it into her mouth and chewed it. Overall it wasn't bad, a bit earthy but that wasn't uncommon with fungi. Satisfied they were alright she picked a few and added them to her satchel and began to walk towards where Chimera was.

Chimera finally found some of what Eir had been describing to her and gleefully began to gather it into the basket that she had. She felt proud that she was part of something more than herself and was potentially being helpful.

Eir grew closer to the young pronghorn and it wasn't long before things began to feel strange and everything around her began to change in a way and it was almost unsettling to her. This wasn't exactly normal and she realized then what it was, the mushrooms she had eaten were causing this. She just hoped she didn't get sick. This she could deal with, hopefully but if she were to grow ill then she wasn't sure what would happen. She was fairly certain Chimera wouldn't take the whole thing well and she didn't want the young pronghorn to freak out or anything. That wouldn't do well for anyone. Watching her gather the moss she watched how the world around her seemed to expand and change in subtle ways that also made you question it. The way the colors seemed to pop off the moss or the way the smoke from the fawns body seemed to make shapes at her. She shook her head. She was going to have to figure out something.

Chimera became aware of the mare behind her and looked over towards her with a smile on her face. "I'm doing good yes?" She asked her.

Eir looked down at her and gave a nod. yes she was doing good, but she wasn't. "Yes. You are." She was sorry to almost be so short with her praise towards Chimera but she was in desperate need of sleep, since she wasn't sure she knew of anything that could counteract this. She was certain eating charcoal at this point wouldn't do her any good. She was already feeling side effects. Plus there were no fires around here for her to get any so it was a wasted thought anyway. Turning her attention away from the fawn she tried to find a place to lay down. Perhaps if she tried to sleep it off then things wouldn't be so weird.Though she doubted her sleeping would really be normal either. Finding a spot to lay down she slumped to the ground, her wings outstretching to cover her legs and her tail curling around the top. She felt a little dizzy but other than that everything just looked strange. She just prayed to the Gods above that Chimera didn't get into anything that required her to help.
