Preferred Artist: ME Name: Zhen Race: Pure Oban Gender: Male 3 Base Traits: Aware, peaceful, easily flustered Personality: Zhen is a man who studies the art of meditation and likes things peaceful. He was raised by parents who are of the very same mindset. It makes for a quiet household, but tense. Zhen tends to keep things bottled up inside to 'keep the peace'. Most things do not phase him, vulgarity, cross breed relationships, it's hard to make him squirm. Unless you're talking with him directly and manage to talk about actual sex or romance, or anything of the like. He's very easily flustered and loses concentration on what he was doing. He gets fidgety, red in the face, and if it continues, he will explode in a 'Please stop talking like this at once!' sort of way. If they stop, he'll calm down and apologize and continue on as though nothing happened. If they keep talking like that after he asked them not to, he will turn tail and just walk away. It doesn't always work, he's found himself at the fist of a few traveling through the settlement. If this happens, the travelers are asked to leave. If they don't, well, there are guards around to keep the peace. They try to avoid bloodshed or fighting as much as possible.
While he knows the history, Zhen doesn't think about it. He pushes it out of his mind. It is in the past, they're learning from it. It's studied, of course, in his training, and it makes him feel sad rather than mad. So many lives were lost and mistakes were made.
He knows complete pacifism isn't realistic. He's not that idealistic. He'll have to figure out how to fight at some point, it just hasn't come to that yet. If it does.. He'll either fight or die. Description: Long black hair done in a bun with some framing his face, blunt and straight edge cut instead of normal. Modestly covered, save for his arms, even then he wears gloves. Some crystals on his shoulders, more you can't see on his legs. A very specific pattern on his forehead. Clothing: 'Priest like' clothing. Layers, and covered. Accessories: N/A History: He was raised in a very religious settlement with priests and monks. He works with them, helping them feed and cloth everyone. Sometimes he has to do hard labor, like farming, planting. He loves this sort of life and doesn't know anything else. The settlement was founded by those trying to avoid the war, trying to find some happiness in the terrible time.
The settlement is small. A handful of priests and monks, and some of the children who come to learn under them. For the most part it's people who're tired of the war-minded countries. They want to change the way the world looks at Oba, including the Obans who live there. The ultimate goal is to get Oba to a state where they are known for peace instead of the torrid history they have. If their numbers grow, more and more priests will leave to try to spread their idea of peace. No weapons, no fighting. Just everyone working together towards bettering themselves, and the people around them.
They know the history of slaves, the history of their country well. They admit it, acknowledge it, but want to better themselves so such things never happen. They're wanting to spread this peace, push forward to other races. They want to embrace everyone.

Does Zhen struggle to maintain relationships with people who push his buttons and make him explode? How does he deal with someone intentionally pushing his buttons to cause him to react?
Do you think he will struggle with keeping the peace moving forward? Do you want him to find balance, or will he always be someone to push for peace? Will he ever accept that chaos could sometimes be peace as well, depending on how that chaos is?
You say he lives in a settlement...can you describe that settlement a bit more? How do they try to spread the way of Obans? How do they feel about the war-minded country exactly, and the history of slaves? Or they trying to make a new name for Oba, and how do they deal with Obans who don't appreciate their efforts? Are they focused on spreading the positive side of Oba, or maybe just helping those who are not as affluent as Oba is?
And how does he fit in all of this?
