Quote: This enemy can be fought solo! You're attacked by a group of three small animals -- your choice what sort, but they should be native to the Louisiana area. Their eyes are crazed, and their action are erratic, implying that there's no sense behind their actions. These are wild beasts, and they attack together. Hit Points: 10 each, for a total of 30, but one dies for each 10 HP damage you do to them. Damage: Each does 2 each time you attack, for a total of 6 to start. This number goes down as you kill them. If you successfully kill all three animals and reach 500 words, each party involved in the battle gets 10XP and rolls 1d100 to collect loot according to the following: 1-40: You gain nothing but the victory of having beaten this opponent. 41-90: Moly Flower: a small white flower with a dark root. You're not quite sure what it's for, but decide to keep it. 91-100: Rabid Blood: these creatures have been infected with something that makes their blood potent. It can be vialed and used once to deal an extra 3 damage [after modifiers] on your next successful attack, after which it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever.

Somehow during her trek through the swamp, Mercy had gotten lost. Not only did she fail at finding Sid, but apparently she failed at keeping her sense of direction as well. The night didn't make matters easier, her tripping over upturned roots and stumbling around while touching something unidentifiable and slimy when she touched a tree. "This is just not my day...Night...Erm...Whatever." She was so done with this and she would most definitely make sure she didn't go anywhere for awhile. She stiffened when she heard some faint growls coming from behind her, turning around slowly just in case there was a bear behind her and she had to prepare to get mauled, only to squint when she saw three pairs of glowing eyes staring at her. She had a feeling that these small raccoons were going to kick her a**. Instead of waiting or trying to communicate with the animals, just in case they could be chosen [which something was telling her that they were not], Mercy charged forward with her hammer, trying to land a hit. She was NOT about to contract rabies and die out here! Nope! Status Mercy's Health:50 - 6 =44 hp Weapon: War hammer (10 base - 1 hit) Rolled: 1 - 1 = (0% dmg) [ 0 dmg total ] Opponent HP: 30 - 0 = 30

It was as if her failures in the Alps were trying to make a comeback! Mercy missed her hit, tripped, and almost fell head first into a tree while one of the raccoons scratched at her leg. The other two joined in, giving her a couple of scratches [or at least they attempted to since she did have a sort of shield to protect her from "most" harm], backing away with a hiss when Mercy attempted to swing at them with her hammer. This was either going to wear her down, or she was going to get her a** into gear and make herself a nice set of fur moccasins. She preferred the latter idea since it meant that she managed to take down three raccoons all on her own. Turns out, she kind of sucked at fighting cause she couldn't hit ONE raccoon at all and they were kicking her a** instead of the other way around. Once again, the raccoons started scratching at her legs, trying to maim her while the scratching was only annoying her to no end. Why couldn't she hit the tiny little buggers? At last! She managed to hit one! Granted, it wasn't a grand slam of a hit, but she managed to hit something all the same. The racoon she hit let out a small yip and bounced back, growling its displeasure at her for daring to land a solid hit. "Well, don't ******** scratch at me and maybe you won't have to deal with my hammer!" She shook her leg to try and shake the other two off, but they still held on, scratching and now nibbling. Mercy attempted one more hit, and sadly, she missed once again. She still had enough fight in her to continue, but she wasn't sure for how long. She was failing miserably and it stunk, but maybe if she kept trying, she would get a lucky hit? Man, she was starting to feel tired, but she swung her hammer and felt relieved when it hit the raccoon she hit before, hearing one final squeak before she thought it was down for the count. The other two coons became more aggressive, trying to tear through her in order to exact revenge for their fallen comrade. She was not about to die at the hands of some coons that were nibbling at her lower leg! Instead, Mercy pulled out the heart-shaped vial of blood she got from her excursions in the alps, placing her lips at the vial and tipping it back. She felt a surge warmth floating throughout her body, giving her more strength. This was starting to piss her off. Mercy aimed carefully and swung her hammer as hard as she could, thanking Ares when she heard another yelp and the sound of a raccoon flying through the bushes into the dark. "Ha! I warned you and now both of your buddies are down for the count. It's just me and you now!" Of course, she was going to look crazy, talking to a bunch of animals like she was. Okay so maybe taunting the animal wasn't such a good thing. Mercy swung her hammer again and missed, groaning at the missed opportunity and the apparent scratching at her poor leg. She was running out of time and she had to try and make this quick. At this point, she had no choice. Mercy swung her hammer, but followed through with her metal feather dagger next, noticing how the raccoon was slowing down on its assault. Just a little bit more and she would be able to try to find a way back.
