This new tavern was a blast! If she wasn't so intent on being a traveling musician, Faamy might have been content making roots here. There were dancers and singers and musicians from all over hanging out tonight. The air was alive with song and laughter, and it put Faamy on her toes with delight. New faces to sing with, handsome faces to wink at, plus delicious food and hearty drinks. What more could a fun-loving girl want?
Ooh! Maybe that!
Faamy pushed her way through the crowd to see what was being cheered on. A drinking game! Two men sat across from each other, trying hard to focus their bleary eyes. Between them was a pile of empty mugs while a server continually brought full ones over. Faamy grinned with amusement, watching the men attempt to stare each other down as they took turns emptying their mugs. Hoo boy, the both of them looked ready to tip over!

It was her last call before heading home. Nadiya was truly intent on enjoying a happy atmosphere tonight before she went back to 'behaving'. The tavern she had chosen then was hopping with excitement as not only travelers from all across Tendaji, but also dancers and musicians were also gathered here. Her own flute in hand the girl had joined in and played a few wild tunes before gathering her won ale to drink.
"Ya sure you want that much?" Laughed the bar keep as the petite woman carried the largest mug away with her.
"Hah! This is nothin' compared to my normal drink." Nadiya winked towards the man, "Just remember my face, I'll be back in a few for another~!"
Her attention was diverted to the cheering crowd. Oh? Tilting her head and perhaps even splashing a bit of her drink on the floor the Matori scurried through the crowd to try and spot the spectacle. "Eh." She commented as she leaned in closely to a wind girl who was also watching, "Looks like a flop. Shame that they couldn't handle more." She teased lightly before raising her own mug to her lips, "I would've beaten that~"

Faamy looked over at the Matorian speaking to her and grinned brightly. "Aye. Couple a' lightweights, them two." Taking in the size of the other's mug, she laughed and nodded. "Easily."
Right then, one of the men in the contest did tip over, passing out stretched along the floor. Faamy laughed along with everyone else. "No question. I'd still be dancin' after what tipped that guy!" She glanced over at the other woman with a smirk, wondering if she should make her own challenge.

"I knooooooow." Nadiya rolled her eyes with a laugh, "But they're big ole men that can obviously handle a lot, right? Sheesh." She blew a stray strand of hair out of her face, "What silliness." Raising her mug to her lips again the Matori took a swig before grinning over at the Sauti girl. "You would?" She raised an appreciative eyebrow, "Sounds like I've found a drinkin' buddy for the night then!"
Nadiya winked playfully, "You seem like fun. Wanna grab a few mugs and see how the night goes? I've played my tunes for the night so it's time to just listen an' have some fun with everyone else." She was game for a lot of drinking and shenanigans. Had to let loose on her last night in Sauti after all!

"Drinkin' buddy, eh?" Faamy's eyes lit up at the offer. As fun as a challenge would be, casual drinking was even more so! "Likin' the sound o' that! Yeh seem like a fine young gal. I'd say yer worthy of a few drinks."
Making her instrument was secure on her back, she ordered herself a drink and raised the mug in honor. "I'm 'fraid I missed yer tunes though. Looks like I missed out."

"Worthy for more than a few." Teased Nadiya, "But we'll see how many ya can keep up with first." She raised her own mug, "To not rememberin' the night! And hopin' we survive the morning after~" She chuckled before taking a big swig. Who cared if she came out a mess? She had the rest of the route to recover from this night before Matori would be anywhere nearby.
"Ya did." Nadiya leaned forward to gaze at the other, "You play too? So I guess I'm lookin' towards another bard then! I'm Nadiya by the way and it's a pleasure to drink with ya." She chuckled, "It's hard to find another gal whose fond of hard ale like I am. Most of 'em like those pansy drinks." She grinned, "Not that those are bad mind ya - just not got that hearty warmth to them that rises from your stomach in the end."

The toast made Faamy's eyes widen with surprise, and then brought up a rather pleased laugh. "Now tha's somethin' I can drink ta!"
Tapping her lips after a couple gulps, she grinned and nodded. "I do, indeed, and ya're indeed!" she purred, reaching back to pat her oud. "Name's Faamy, 'n' the pleasure's all mine~" Pansy drinks? She couldn't help laughing and gave a light wink. "Well, a little frilly drink now an' then is fine; especially them free ones the boys assume we love so much fer bein' ladies." Inspecting her mug, she chuckled and took another drink. "Can't deny the feel of a solid drink like this. Fills a person in the right places~"

"Faamy, nice ta metcha!" Declared Nadiya with a small laugh before nodding her head, "I suppose so~ Not that I get much of that." She teased with a wink, "They'd rather think me a boy sometimes save for afta I sing a bit." Her faced flushed the Matori simply wagged a finger at the last statement. Perhaps it was the tipsy in her, but something about that threatened to bring about an inappropriate joke.
"So whatcha doin' here out of all places?" Nadiya asked instead with a grin, "Do ya just enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by travelers and songs alike? I do enjoy the tales ya can gather in places like these, that I do."

Brow cocking, Faamy looked the Matorian up and down with a little smirk. "Buncha fools, they are, if they're lookin' at ya as a boy for even a moment." Seeing the playful scold, she couldn't help a wicked smirk. So that was the game?
"I'm takin' my music, an' my wonderful self, on the trails." Cocking her head, she looked Nadiya over again and smiled. "Storyteller? Well, I'll be glad ta share a tale 'r two." Waving her mug to get another sent over, she tossed back what remained. "What sorta tale ya lookin' fer?"

Nadiya actually found her cheeks flushing from something other than ale at the compliment, "Well thanks." She replied with a small smile, "I'll keep that in mind for any future situations."
"Well then let's hope for good travels since even a bard can't sing themselves out of everything situation." Teased Nadiya lightly, " You would?" Her face lighting up the girl waved her mug in jubilation, "Any, honestly. Most I hear are romantic or adventures...but ya know with the seasons changin' I wouldn't mind for some spirit tales or somethin' darker 'ere and there. It's a good time for spooks to come out and about." She leaned in towards the other woman, "There might even a place or two 'round here that's supposedly got strange occurrences happening."

"Ta good travels." Leaning back in her seat, Faamy looked up at the ceiling and tapped her chin. A spooky tale... "How 'bouts the tale o' my great granny Sybil?" she offered, grinning brightly. "Not that I ever met the lady, bu' 'er end o' days is family legend. Then we can visit one'a them strange places o' yers."
Taking a deep drink, she sighed heavily and leaned forward again, going right ahead with her story. "So, great granny Sybil, she was a tough ol' bird. Never let nobody tell her what ta do." As she spoke, her fingers lightly tapped the table top, putting lyrics to the words in her mind. After all, that was how her stories were normally told. "She grew older an' older, an' met herself a young man. He would visit 'er ev'ry single day, singin' an' tellin' tales an' such. She sure liked the bloke, an' it sounded like 'e liked 'er back.
Then 'er daughter, granny Shaybil, went ta visit. She met the bloke. 'e was charmin' an' full o' wit. A nice guy. Granny Shaybil's beau at the time was late fer dinner, so 'e walks in on the gals chatterin' away like a couple hens. Soon 'nough though, he realizes tha' great granny an' grabby both are chattin' with an empty chair! They're lookin' at a charmin' guy with long gold hair, but the guy sees nothin'." She leaned forward, squinting at Nadiya. "Wha'dya think o' tha'? A ghost fer women only?"

Nadiya leaned forward with the enthusiasm of a raptrix pup, "Sure, sure~!" She nodded her head while her hands were firmly clutched around the heavy -well less heavy now that it was already almost empty- mug that she randomly would take a good swig from. Oddly enough, even with all the alcohol in the little body the girl was only tipsy and still would manage to remember most stories told to her this night...mostly.
Nadiya laughed at the ending before nodding her head, "I 'spose so! I guess their beau missed out on the looker then! Unless ya think maybe he slipped away in a poof of smoke or somethin' before the other guy actually looked towards him?" She smirked, "Or that's one talented mage who likes playin' around with the ladies a bit 'ere and there. I've seen some of 'em just slip right out below the father's nose before coming right back the moment his back is turned, ya know."
She shook her head with a laugh, "As it is did they ever figure it out? Or did it just leave an' never return?"

Faamy smirked lightly. "Now, ain't tha' the question o' the generations. Wouldn't mind knowin' tha' secret." Leaning back, she smiled up at the ceiling. "I think it'd be quite delightful, 'havin' a sweet'eart who can hide from others. It'd make fer some good ol' fun."
With a deep breath, she looked back to Nadiya and grinned. "Family mysteries seem par fer the course, I'm sure." She leaned forward and grinned. "Maybe we'll git you a better tale at one o' the strange occurrence places? Would ya care ta take 'r drinks fer a stroll, Nadiya?"

Nadiya giggled, "I suppose it would. I wonder how many you could get at once though?" She winked playfully, "Would be fun havin' 'em all hide around each other." Not that she would know anything about sweethearts - her only precious thing was the flute at her side. I don't suppose that counts much as a sweet heart does it? She teased herself with a slight laugh.
"Of course!" Nadiya gave her a look like -isn't that an obvious choice? - before grabbing her drink and getting up, "Let me just get a refill first..." She leaned over and swapped her mostly empty mug from a server's tray for a new one, "Okay then." The Matori grinned back towards the bard, "Ready ta find some spooks?"

Faamy chuckled and raised her mug in a toast. "Hide 'em all over the place." Having any number of hotties at her beck and call? Mmmmm~
Grinning with delight, she stood and brushed herself off. Time to find something more exciting than a simple tavern could provide. "Ready an' rarin' ta go! Lead the way, Nadiya~" Heading for the door, she pulled it open and looked out. "How far we gotta go?"
