Taking in a deep breath, Adonis' chest expanded proudly as his poised and regal steps carried him though the fire capital. It had been an uneventful day, but a day of learning and teaching members of his family. His own carved, Ajax and one of his nephews Sir Warden. Both, including himself were loyal followers of the Dragon Army Commander Oni.

The day had progressed to be a normal one, and just as always the elder lead his family from their clan training grounds. Just as he did every day. Purple eyes moved from the bustle of the capital to look down to his shadow that loped along side him, his own carved Ajax.

Yellow and white tail remained poised behind his hunches, proudly as he navigated the crowd of the square. Which, just as always it was busy as ever. Especially in the last passing moons, Adonis has noticed more and more new fire tribe members, all newly woven of course.

Looking over to his left, he could spy his grown nephew that strolled along side him. Another that he was proud of and his steadfast nature, in keeping the course. Adonis' careful gaze shifted back to the bustle of the crowd as they made their way home from another morning of training.

---

The dark little shadow, known as Ajax hopped carefully alongside his father doing his best as always to keep up with his father and cousin. With the training, it was getting easier with every passing day. He could feel the pads of his paws become calloused and stronger. Soon he knew that traveling the rough ground of the training ground would become easy and thoughtless as he could take each stride with mindless precision.

Maw remained opened to allow each passing pant to easily leave his maw and allow to take in another. Just as swiftly and heavily as it left. Dark little orbs kept his eyes on the his path, out of the corner of his eye he could see his father's yellow and white legs. Being mindful to make sure to keep a eye on his father's change of movement, so he wasn't toppled over again. He didn't blame his father for the sudden change of movement in the past. Nope, it was his own lack of attention that caused the little fumble. Luckily his cousin had been there to help him up, but the cub knew that wasn't always going to be the case and he needed to pay attention more.

---

Sir Warden's careful strides where a bit more upbeat then his uncle's, however he was just as focused as his elder. It had been another normal day in the fire tribe, and just as always Warden looked forward to the meal that was waiting for them when they made it home. There he could see the rest of his clan.

White horns remained proudly raised, as his orange eyes looked about the square for anything of interest. As of late, it seemed like they where always running into someb'alam new in the square. Not that it was too strange, it was the place to be and the place to meet.

There was various stalls, ornate fountains, other b'alams discussing and trading. It was a place full of life, just like the surrounding active volcano that was around them, and that they called home.

Orbs of amber scanned the crowds of the busy square as sure footed paws carried the nan through. Head held high, long lengths of teal fur streamed back from her head and around her onyx horns, Azar Kitsune moved with a confidence any fire balam would be envious of. Although young in this world, she had mastered herself and was figuring out her world quickly. Her body was well muscled and rippled with each step, her tail practically glittered in the sun as if it really was covered in stars.

Other balam moved out of her way quickly as she strolled through them. If anyone looked upon her they'd think she was on a mission. But no, today she was enjoying the day but also taking note of them. She studied every balam's face as she passed through. With the rise of a Lord Shen and the rift it caused in the fire tribe, Azar was collecting data for herself and possibly for the side she had choosen. Lord Shen was a distasteful name in her mouth and with the thought of him, her golden eyes darkened slightly.

She hadn't left the fire tribe yet and didn't lead anyone on to which side she had choosen. She poured every ounce of confidence into her muscles so her movements screamed she'd take on anyone who'd tempt her fury. Most would assume she was a solider of Lord Shen and they'd be half right. She was a soldier but not for him.

Azar suddenly tossed her head. She wouldn't think on him and what she saw that day anymore today. It would drive her mad. With her telekinesis she fixed the cloth tied around her neck and proceeded towards a rather large fountain. She paused and watched the azure water pour out the top and stream down to the rest below, making a soothing sound. She turned around and sat at the side of the fountain and watched the busy balam and venders. But for some reason a trio of males caught her eye, one being a darkly colored cub. She tilted her head and rose from her perch and trotted after them carefully.

Taking in a content breath, Adonis' proud and strong chest rose to the taken grasp of air. As the elder continued lead them though the square purple eyes where drawn to the sudden movement of a brilliantly pelted Nahtlil. Something about her set her apart as her dark horns and glistening tail caught the corner of his gaze first. Though as his gaze shifted on closer detail, it was her path seemed to follow after their own. A lightly colored ear turned and pinned it's self against his tempered set of white horns, both of which where scaved naturally with age and training.

A mindful gaze shifted notably to his son, it was a look that he knew his cub would understand. It was one that instructed him to stay close. Long regal strides slowed just a little to ensure that his cub could easily keep pace with Sir Warden and himself. It wasn't that Adonis was paranoid, but rather the passing of meany new moons as a solider and in the recent change of times, dictated him to be more careful as well as mindful. There was few that he trusted, even if they shared ranks with him. Next a glance was made to his nephew, Sir Warden-one he knew would have taken notice of the faintly slowed pace.

It seemed they where being followed, or perhaps instincts where just off, as unlikely as it was.

Another step was taken by Adonis, and peaking white claws shifted slowly more out of his front paws. A heavy breath released from his nostrils and maw...

Such times where bothersome, Adonis inwardly despised the lack of trust he was forced to compensate for in every strange or noticeable movement that was made by another. It was never like this in the past, when the previous Magus reigned...

However, as much as Adonis dispised Shen, he did seem to have the betterment of the Fire Tribe in mind-that was one thing he knew he was aligned with. Shen wished, or claimed to better their clan as a whole-to be the strongest and prove that they where the strongest of the clans. A proud breath was taken in by the elder, though in quick change of thought his yellow tail flicked, in slight show of frustration. if only the 'Emperors' methods and care....where different.

---

Dark heavy paws slowed as Ajax took note of his father's change of pace. Shadowy ears perked forward as the cub looked up to Adonis. It was then he caught the serious look from his father, it was so commanding and instructing it caused Ajax's ears to lower and doc. His maw closed and his large head turned forward, his brow focused as his large paws picked up pace to a quicker trot. The shift in movement was coupled with a closer alignment with his father's paw steps. He walked closer to his father, so much so his own dark fur brushed lightly against his dad's own as his larger paw and leg passed next to his wobbly barrel cub body. One that shifted and swayed in each step as if was it's own moving entity. Stubby black tail curled in a arch behind him as he kept his balance with each step.

Dark ears angled back and pressed against ebony horns. He didn't see or hear any notable danger, but he knew what that look his father had given him. He had to focus, be alert and most importantly stay close to his father.

---

Sir Warden's white horns shifted and turned slightly with the turn of his head as he carefully looked over to his uncle as he took notice of change of pace. His light-hearted brow raised a little as he orange gaze took more notice of his surrounds and worked to spy what his uncle had seen. It was something that Sir Warden had not seem to have noticed. What he had missed was no longer in his line of sight and was faintly behind him, however that did not stop him from nonchalantly taking a look around them with out moving his head too much. The Warden was careful, and very mindful to not give anything away, just as he was raised to do. He wasn't as seasoned as his uncle, but he was trained by him and by the respectable General Oni. Both where very skilled and trained for war. Both of which Sir Warden knew he would be in the time he spent in tempering himself.

A soft breath left the Tahtil as his ears slipped back, and his tail remained in a relaxed sway behind him. A content smile remained on his white and red maw giving no evidence for concern or worry. All seemed normal for him and not out of place, however- his uncle was alert about something and his cousin was doing well to take the wordless insurrection from his father. Ajax was such a good cub and a fast learner, he was a good warrior and in time he would be great as he grew older and stronger. All with time, he was already above the carve and more seasoned then most cubs carved in his time.

Azar was very alert to every movement of the trio of tahtils. Her movements where relaxed as if she was just out enjoying the day. Her tail was relaxed and held low, the end swaying gently back and forth with her movement. Her ears pivoted at sounds but was otherwise in a relaxed position and she observed her surroundings as if taking in the views and watching other balams about their business. Eventually she turned slightly and went off on a different pathway that put the three out of eye sight for long stretches, but this gave her a chance to pick up her pace. Azar resumed her casualness when she would be back in view.

Eventually, this allowed her to get somewhat ahead of the three and she decided to leave the path she took and she casually stepped out in front of them and looked around. She knew where they where but was attempting to behave naturally as if she got lost or lost something or someone. Which wasn't hard because she was still learning much of the terrain. Azar frowned slightly and her golden eyes scanned the area before landing on the three males causing her to really pause and wonder why she'd risk following them. She suddenly pondered continuing by crossing their path and moving on to explore instead of "spying". Finally, her feet moved as she tore her eyes from them and started to head off.

Adonis made a watchful glance to his son that remained at his side. Purple eyes raised to focus on their path once more, his careful gaze watched her as she faded from view. The particular Nahtlil had moved from view and seemed to go along her way; even if it was back tracking. Perhaps, it was nothing...

Hmm.

White ears turned ahead of him and perked forward as his elegant strides took him forward. The tahtll was simply too paranoid as of late, even if he was correct, his family and him was not doing anything wrong or out of the ordinary. However stance and posture did easily separate them from the others, just like the Nahtlil was easily spotted-there was just something about them that easily caught another's eyes. It was something the elder was very much aware of and it made him careful. Yellow and white tail remained raised and swished slightly behind him.

Eyes turned back to Sir Warden, and a eyebrow raised to his nephew. Adonis couldn't help but wonder if the grown cub had noticed what he had notice. If not, that was alright. Like stated before the elder was a bit paranoid and like to keep tabs on anyone that caught his purple gaze.

----

Ajax's large paws flopped heavily at his father's side, ears turned about but his cub maw and eyes where focused upward. They where carefully trained on his father, watching to learn. He was sure to make sure there wasn't anything he would miss. It was foolish to do so, and because he was a cub was no excuse. The cub was going to grown soon, and such a thing could not be used as a excuse.

Maw parted and nostrils flared as his eyes turned back to their path to the square. His father had notably changed their destination, they where no longer headed home. Something changed his mind, where they being fallowed? His father's actions seemed to tell him that they where.

'focus on your surroundings' The large cub could hear the brawl captain's words in his ear. She was always right, and allowed no room for error. Crucible was a good teacher, almost as good as his father.

---

Sir Warden's eye caught the careful and slight turn of his uncle's white horns. A curious look crossed the younger adult's maw as he raised his own brow at the elder. Slowly his head shook, signalling to Adonis that he hadn't noticed anything in particular. Except that Adonis shifted his path just a little bit-they where not going home anymore.

Something was up.

A soft breath left Sir Warden's maw as he inwardly scolded himself for missing something. Looking ahead of him, his ears perked forwarded and shifted just like his Uncle's. He should have been paying more close attention, they where at a time of discord in the fire tribe.

Dark tail shifted in a flick behind his hunches and his head raised once more. Oh well, he missed out, and all he could do was focus more. Slowly his head nodded once more to uncle once more. He would do better....
