Pretty self explanatory/unimaginative

Blood colour: #204e6e

Gender: Androgynous (goes by he for ease)

Symbol: Inspired by Pietersite

Profile:
Static is an energetic kid when in the company of a close friend. When a stranger is around tho, the blueblood will be hard pressed to even say hello. He tries to put on an act, trying to be the "strong quiet" one, when unsure of the situation. He wears this stereotype to hide his own shyness and self doubt, a mask against the horrors of the world. Static believes in the hemospectrum, and accepts his place in it. For outward appearances he will play the good blueblood, respecting higher bloods, and protecting and leading lowbloods. But if someone challenges him, he will most likely back down. Even a very confident mid blood could get away with bossing Static around. When Static comes across an especially headstrong low blood he will prefer to stay away from them, not following their commands, but also not going out of his way to correct them. He might not stick up for himself much, but he still believes in the hemospectrum. If a lowblood is bossy or rude, they must have something wrong with them, and he would be better off not associating with that kind of person.

Static's lusi took care of his basic needs when he was just a wiggler, but slowly the guardian grew disinterested with the child. Static worries that its his fault his guardian spends so much time away from home, and has since grown rather shy and quiet. When alone, Static will often find himself trapped in his own thoughts and self doubt, and can get in ruts where he simply stays inside, feeling unworthy and unwanted. Static prefers to occupy himself with other things to keep the self hatred away, and has since found a love for daring and exciting activities. The rush of adrenaline is a welcome high to the blueblood, and Static will search far and wide for the next best rush. It was during these hunts for excitement that Static found Hawk. Although it took a bit for the blueblood to get over his shyness, the two have been adventure buddies since. The troll worries that Raijin only cares about him now because of his powers, and if they had never appeared, Static would still be alone and worthless. Of course the worrying about it often makes it come true, and if Static gets into a rut of self hate and uncertainty, Raijin will often leave, waiting for Static to snap out of it, instead of consoling his child.

When he gets to know someone a little better, he is more likely to open up and be himself, an energetic kid that wants to share his favorite feeling. Static's lusus often tells the troll that fights are another way to really get the blood pumper beating, but Static would rather get his high from solitary life threatening situations. With trolls he is particularly close with he enjoys showing his feelings through actions, not words. Static really enjoys sharing his exciting hobbies with others, as long as it does not turn competitive.

Static first fell in love with the adrenaline rush when his hive apartment was damaged in the great Civisect Space Tower Explosion. The boy was on his balcony, watching to see if his absent lusus would return, when everything came crashing down. Luckily for Static he was outside on the safe side of the hive complex. He remembers the ground rushing up to greet him, the wind whipping his hair. Static does not remember much of his impact with the ground, only that when he opened his eyes he was in a tangle of live wires, and his lusus was paying him far more attention than ever before. Other unlucky trolls that fell into similar positions were having far more trouble than Static, having to endure or die by the intense electric shock that was coursing through their bodies and into the ground. The blueblood had looked around, the adrenaline so strong in his body that he hardly noticed his hand throb and swell. With the newfound attention and encouragement of his lusus, Static started collecting up the dangerous wires, and moving them to a far less populated area. Static has since been a fan of activities like skydiving, motorized bike racing, rock climbing, and he is open to any other activity if explained in such a way to ignite his thrill seeking interests.

Static will collect and endure more electrical power than he is comfortable with in order to impress his lusus. Raijin tends to lose interest quickly, and Static often has to step up his endurance and abilities to ignite the creature's interest. It was this constant desire to impress his lusus that also drew the troll towards his love of life threatening situations. The adrenaline rush was a welcome change to the pressure and high expectations his lusus had. It helped to distract Static from his rather stressful home life, and the memories of each adventure seemed to expel, or at least distract Static from his frustrating feelings with his lusus's ever rising expectations. Static craves his lusus's attention and approval, but is also torn by the fact that Raijin is not very good at interacting peacefully with others. When Raijin's aggressive behavior turns towards a troll higher up in the hemospectrum than Static, he will try and calm his lusus down. Generally the only way to get his lusus to cease acting aggressive others is to disappoint his lusus. Static does this by dropping all his contained electrical charge, resulting in angry and disapproving remarks from his lusus. When Raijin challenges midbloods and lowbloods, Static will fall into his "strong stoic" persona, and do his best to intimidate the other troll into backing down. If just the persona fails, he will demonstrate his power, punching the ground, letting sparks fly, or something to intimidate the other troll into leaving.

Static has been seen as insufficient by his lusus before he got his powers. The troll has always feared others also finding him inadequate, and has since hidden his true self from others. Being looked at as inferior by his guardian has made Static very worried that he is in fact inferior. Even with his newfound powers and his guardian's attention, he's not sure he can really trust it. Although Static might be timid, when faced with other trolls he can put up a front that is quite indifferent. The boy has had to harden his feelings. When static showed his timid nature to his guardian, he would often be berated for it, leading the blueblood to hide his timidness with silence and pretend stoic nature. Static has expressed some hope now that his lusus is not dismissing the boy altogether, and he hopes to grow into his powers and maybe even find some confidence. Raijin expects Static to strive to be better than everyone else. The lusus wants Static to go beyond the hemospectrum, to prove that the blueblood is the best, for his own confidence, and his troll's. Raijin wants to be the one that brings a troll above and beyond his blood limitations. Static is sure that Raijin is going too far in his expectations, and the blueblood would rather keep to his spot in the hemospectrum, but his need for his lusus's acceptance leads him to lie to live a facade.

Extra
When the Science Dome of Civisect blew up, Static was one of the first trolls on the sceen. He had checked on his friend Hawk first, but immediately after that the boy was at the chaos of the smoldering building. Hes unsure weather it was his worry about the hurt trolls inside, or the excitement of exploring a building so recently turned to rubble, but none the less the blueblood rushed into the debree to help. The blueblood was in such a rush that he did not see the live wires sparking and hissing before he tripped and fell right into them. It was here that Static's abilities presented themselves. The electricity that would have surly killed any other troll simply flowed into Static harmlessly. At the time the boy was so focused on his task at hand, finding survivors, that he barely registered the change in his body. One survivor that he did manage to save was a purpleblood named Tzofia. Since being her rescuer Static has been checking up on the purpleblood often.

Strengths:
Thrill Seeker:
Static has already been on the brink of death once, and although it was terrifyingly, Static felt the adrenaline rush, and loved it. Since then, Static has felt that life lacks a certain spark, and seeks the rush he felt the day his life was almost ended. The fact that he has a shiny new hand only makes him feel more invincible and ready for action. Why worry about arms or legs when you can just get a new one?
Strong:
Maybe it's because Static doesn't talk much, or his love of doing crazy and exciting things, but the troll has started to keep up this appearance of being strong. He uses it to intimidate others into going away and leaving him alone. Putting on the act also helps Static to feel like he really is strong, giving the kid a bit more self confidence.
Helpful:
Static enjoys helping others. Its one of the few ways of socializing with others that doesn't make him anxious. When Static helps others the attention is on the one being helped, and he can manage to feel good about himself while not adding to his own worries. Everyone likes being helped, right?

Flaws:
Quiet:
Although Static loves the rush of high energy and life risking activities, communication with others of his species tend to make him clam up. He would much rather do then tell, and has trouble expressing himself in words. He doesn't mean to come off as standoffish, and tries to use actions to communicate, but this often leads to miss communications, leading the troll to avoid words even more.
Self Conscious:
About the only think Static really thinks or dwells about are his interactions with others. Static is prone to thinking himself into circles, letting the worry engulf him as soon as things start to go downhill. He can get really caught up in the feelings and thoughts in his head, and can lose control of himself. This usually results in his body discharging the static electricity the troll had been so careful to keep in check, leading to a potentially dangerous encounter for others.
Needy:
Static is scared of judgement from others, and fears their opinions, but he also yearns for them. This has led the troll to be rather clingy, and easy to be taken advantage of. He will give another troll all the chances in the world to hurt him if it means they can still be friends.

Weapon:
Fists
At first Static was shocked and dismayed by his disfigured hand. It was a symbol of his weakness, how his body was weak and could not handle a fall from such a short height. When he received the mechanical hand his mind was changed. The new fingers had a tighter grip, he could endure heat better, and best of all, it conducted his electric powers superbly. He is able to punch things much harder than he was before, and can even replace his mechanical appendage should he need something even stronger.

Home:
Civisect
Static's first hive was in a hive complex on a floor relatively safe in its height. The boy was not in danger of any falling accidents when he resided in his original hive. Since its destruction, the blueblood has been seeking out the top floors of the highest hive complexes, and will often claim the roof as part of his own hive. The blueblood enjoys relaxing on the roof in what little spare time he allots himself for relaxing.

Lusus:
Raijin
Static's caretaker is a rather aloof creature called Raijin. The lusus is very interested in thunderstorms, and would often leave Static for nights on end to seek out the turbulent storms it so enjoys. Before Static's powers manifested, Raijin was a rather bad caretaker, leaving his troll to fend for itself time and again. The thunder seeking beast even admits he named the troll in hopes of Static receiving some sort of electrical affiliation. When Static's power did manifest, Raijin had newfound interest in the troll, and has given Static more attention than he would have ever received before his powers. Raijin tends to pay more attention to Static the more electrical current the boy is harnessing, and often encourages Static to use his powers to the fullest. One of the ways Raijin "helps" Static to get stronger is by picking fights with other trolls. Static hates it when his lusus eggs other trolls on, and has tried to put on a strong, quiet, threatening air to keep other trolls from actually fighting him. Static is often torn between wanting his lusus's attention and wanting to stay out of fights.

Power:
Fulgurkinesis
style B You can strike twice on your next turn, with improved accuracy on each attack.
Static can control the flow of static electricity he has stored in his body, an ability very similar to that of his lusus's. While Raijin feeds on the electric current around him, Static simply stores it for later use or quick bursts of energy. Raijin is able to manipulate the energy around himself to allow himself to hover or float. Static has attempted this, but often his body is just not build for manipulating his power that way. Static collects electricity in his body by simply walking around. The friction of his feet on the ground, the movement of air, it all creates a small static charge, and Static is able to absorb it. On days with high atmospheric pressure Static can feel the energies around himself much easier, and can often tell if a storm is brewing.

There are a number of grammatical/spelling errors you might want to touch on. Nothing that interferes too heavily with the app's readability, though. I'm really liking Static! Only a couple minor questions from me.

What would you say is the basis for Static's self-doubt? What is it about conflict that turns him off so badly? How does he feel about how competition-driven Alternian culture is? I'd like to hear more about how his timid nature interacts with his adherence to the hemospectrum, considering both it and his powers afford him an incredibly secure position in society. Has the discovery of his powers had an impact on his general mindset? What exactly would you say the high expectations that Raijin has for Static are?

Aaaand that's it!

EDIT: Just read over Hawkin's app. I think the idea of the kids knowing each other beforehand is super neat, and I'd like to hear some of that story from Static's POV here too!
