All day he had sought the leaders of the other factions and come face-to-face with them to understand their motivations, and while he knew that he was going to have to fight them before the end in order to make them submit, he also knew that there was a possibility that each of them could be saved...that each of them had a motivation that wasn't purely selfish...that some damage, some belief, some misguided truth had lead them down this path.
He had to try to save them...but this fight, he had no idea how this fight was going to go. Holding back against Obelyn Cernunnos would only get him killed, but he didn't want to kill him at all. Heading towards the Tokyo Dome with bated breath, he stepped through the gate of the stadium and let the shadows of the walls fall over him...the artificial light of the stadium somehow restored as he stepped out into the central area and there...at the heart of Tokyo's greatest sporting arena, stood the man that he worried over.
His friend...their mentor...their protector.
Here and now, their enemy.
"Kept you waiting, huh?"
Soji smirked wryly.
"That's my line..."
They paused across from one another...and from the other entrances they came...the others who would stand beside him in this fight. Mankind's last stand...against the Bel, the Candelabrum Fiends, a fate that conspired against them all.
"The time for talk is over, yes? You already fought with my dear Ravenna...you know there is only one way for this to end."
He drew his Crimson Glaive and leveled it at his foe. Soji drew his swords in turn.
