Conley had recently been given an assignment in one of his classes to write about his future. In that particular essay all he could talk about was Soccer. After all it was what he spent a majority of his time doing! But, was soccer really all he wanted to do? He had a fondness for the technology around him as well, in some ways more advanced than what he was used to back home. The Nixie had advances in technology as well, but most of those were focused around their lives being spent underwater. He wanted to be able to fix things when he grew up. So maybe, even though he loved soccer, it would be wise for him to spend time on some other pursuits as well?
But then, if he split his time, would that have a negative affect on his soccer skills? He didn't want that to happen, nope! He definitely wanted to get famous for his soccer skills. But, well, it wouldn't hurt to try to split his time! And he would probably want something to do after he was done playing soccer. It's not like her could continue playing the sport for his whole life. There would come a time when he'd want to do something else, probably. Well, maybe! For now he wanted to focus on Soccer, but he could certainly hit the books just a bit more than he did now. That seemed like a fair trade!
