 Haruna had never seen anything in her life, her world of made up of touch, smell and sound. Haruna was born blind, she didn't feel held back by her blindness, but some had made fun of her for it or made fun of her for her personality. Haruna had never felt like the other imps, she didn't feel like she fit in with them. Her world of darkness felt different from their bright world of family. Haruna decided what she wanted, she wanted to become an artist, so she worked hard and she passed her freshling, junior and senior years. Then she applied to Grendel university. Haruna had felt like she was in a rut recently struggling to come up with her next art piece. So she went into the forest, carefully with a walking stick, she felt her way forward, then she stopped at a hard object. She reached out her hand feeling the tree bark, her eyes closed since they did no good to her anyway.

 Drayden fluttered his wings as he moved through the trees. It had been a long time since he had been able to just get out and be in nature. Just the smell of the fresh air was making him feel so much better. He had tried to convince Gryffyn to come with him, but the freshling was content to stay at the Academy for some extra studying time.
Not long after he entered the woods, he came across a pastel colored Nightmare, an Imp he was pretty sure. He didn't want to startle her, so he made a little extra noise as he approached. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" he asked her by way of a conversation starter.

Haruna turned to the sound of the noise, she hadn't been expecting anyone to bother her in the middle of the woods. Haruna frowned as she blankly looked at whoever was attached to the sound of the voice. She couldn't make eye contact, but she face in the general direction of the sound. In general, Haruna had to accept that the weather today felt nice, it wasn't raining and it wasn't too hot, but she wasn't going to admit that to a stranger. Instead, she turned away from whoever it was and said sharply. "I wouldn't know." Hoping they would get the hint that she was blind and didn't accept others easily. Haruna leaned down feeling around for leaves and flowers. Smelling the flowers trying to determine what they were.

Drayden watched the Imp and tilted his head to one side as she looked in his direction but not...at him. That was odd... And the way she replied. The Fey was pretty sure she was blind. He just smiled. "Well, sure you do. Even if you can't see the sun shining, you can feel it. It isn't very hot out, and it's not raining." His smiled widened. "Must be a good day. So what brought you out to the forest?" he asked curiously. She looked like she was searching for something and it was on the tip of his tongue to offer help.

Haruna frowned and turned back to the voice and said "You presume a lot, what if I don't like the warmth of the sun, what if I'd rather be in a dark art room, doing my work in peace?? Without anyone questioning me??" She grumbled before turning back to searching to different scents and textures to inspire her work. Haruna rolled her eyes, as whoever this person was, didn't seem to want to take her hints to go away. "If you must know I'm feeling for different textures and scents to inspire my work." Haruna turned back to her search for different textures. Gentle touching something she was pretty sure was a mushroom, being as she couldn't see she was guessing at this point.

Drayden considered her words and nodded, mostly to himself since this Nightmare couldn't see it for herself. "I suppose you're right... But on the other hand, if you did prefer to be alone in dark rooms, then you would be there. Wouldn't you?" He smiled, quite pleased with his line of thinking. He listened as she actually answered his previous question. "Ahh, that's interesting! So are you an artist?" The Fey couldn't stop his curious questions; they just spilled from his lips. Okay, so it was partially because this Imp was quite pretty. "Be careful with that mushroom," he cautioned. "You ought to wash your hands well before you eat. That kind can be poisonous. Nothing deadly, but it could make you sick."

Haruna growled she was getting really annoying with whoever the heck this was, she had a reason to be out here, then she was going back to her art room simple as that. She rolled her unseeing gray eyes and said. "Yes, I am an artist." She said with a bite to her words. Haruna had always been rather prickly, never fitting in with the other imps, that all seemed to be snuggles and sunshine. She didn't know what race whoever the heck was bothering her was, but they certainly sounded sunshiny. Haruna sighed she hated that whoever this guy was, was likely right. It wasn't like she could see the damn mushroom to tell if it was poisonous.. She grumbled "Thank you.."

Drayden smiled brightly despite the bite in her tone. Maybe she was just having a bad day. He just didn't want to believe that a Nightmare as pretty as she was could be this grumbly all the time. Speaking of grumbly, her appreciation of his information seemed almost forced. He shrugged a bit and just kept smiling. "You're quite welcome!" he said. "Is there something I could help you find?" he asked. So maybe he was just looking for an excuse to stay around. Though he supposed if she really didn't want him around, he would leave. He didn't really want to make her have a bad day. He wanted to see if he could give her a better one.

Haruna mentally rolled her eyes her eyes were what they were they didn't really do much of anything, her cracked stone had made sure of that. She faced in the direction of the sound, why was this voice still here. She figured she had been prickly enough to make her point that she wanted to be left alone apparently not. "I have been living without sight all my life." She cocked her eyebrow and asked "What makes you think I can't find leaves, sticks, bark, flowers and other things I can touch for inspiration on my carvings without your help.. " She quietly added. "Sides from trying to avoid poisonous plants and mushrooms." She sighed out. Everyone either wanted to help or pity the blind grumpy imp, certainly not normal but she had been like this since she was a freshling. She didn't see it changing anytime soon, what reason was there to let anyone in?? She turned to walk away and ended up catching her foot on a root and started to fall, wow smooth dramatic exit Haruna she thought to herself as she braced herself to fall on who knew what.

Wow, he was really good at putting his foot in his mouth lately. Drayden winced at her questions. "I didn't mean to imply that you are incapable," he started to say as she turned. He just wanted to clear the air a bit before letting her go her own way. At least until she tripped. Crying out a belated warning, the Fey moved quicker than one would assume for a male of his size and caught her just before she hit the ground.
With a smile he hoped she would hear in his voice, he said "I'm just a helpful kind of guy."

Haruna looked in the direction of the sound of the voice of the being holding her, she couldn't fight that he had saved her from a very unpleasant fall. She sighed "Alright fine you can help me happy." She grumbled, she wouldn't say it out loud but the feel of the fey's hands on her actually felt good. She didn't get much touch since she pushed most away since she was very young. So she was a little touch starved. She couldn't remember if they had exchanged names so she said "I'm Haruna by the way." Her voice was still a little annoyed but the edge had softened a little.

Drayden smiled. "Yes, I am happy, actually," he said. "Thank you." He helped her upright, letting go once she was steady. Her fur was so soft, he just wanted to pet her but he was pretty sure she would not appreciate it. Even though her tone was softer, he could detect the annoyance in it. "I'm pleased to meet you, Haruna. My name's Drayden."
"So what are you looking for?" he wondered, sliding his hands into the pockets of his slacks. "Anything in particular or just anything that strikes your fancy?" Artists had always intrigued him. The way their minds worked was fascinating.

Haruna snorted, of course, they were happy they were getting their way, not that they were a horrible being since they were willing to help her. She grumbled, "Interesting to meet you Drayden." Though really she didn't mind as much as she might some others. She hadn't punched them in the face for example. She shook her head and then said "I'm just trying to find something to inspire my art, I do carvings and work with clay, anything that I can feel out with my hands since my eyes are of no use to me." She looked in the direction of the last place she had heard Drayden's voice.

His lips quirked up in a wry smile. "Interesting, huh?" he asked with a chuckle. He supposed there were worse ways she could have described meeting him. Speaking of interesting, her art sounded like it would be pretty neat, too. He would love to see it... "Would you let me see some of your art?" he asked. He was fully prepared for her to tell him no in some snarky kind of way, but he was beginning to like the way she snarked. Something told him she wasn't so much annoyed with him as she just wanted to push others away.

Haruna sighed there seemed to be no getting rid of this being if they found out about her sweet tooth she would never get rid of them. She had a terrible weakness for candy. She would likely never telling Drayden her weakness but if they chanced to figure it out. She would be a squishy pile of imp before them, she loved chocolate so very much. Which was rather ironic since she couldn't see the coloring of the fey before her who was a lovely brown coloring, just like her favorite candy. "I suppose if you really want me to, then shall we go to my dorm? I live in the Grendel dorms." She said in a snarky tone as she normally did.
