Perhaps she should not have been so surprised to find the stranger so seemingly misplaced, rocking slowly on the park swing in the early hours of the night. After all, she too was somewhat of a sight to those that walked passed, seeming more like a character out of a period storytale than your typical citizen. Yoko was not oblivious to this fact.
Still, this girl... puzzled her. There seemed, for a time, to be no one else around. Only the young girl--obviously of mixed upbringing, given the wide tendrils that wrapped around her feline tail and limbs, and the slits that cut down the center of her violet glowing orbs. For a long while it seemed as though the hybrid was staring at nothing, simply swinging gently atop her seat all by her lonesome. It took deviating from her path for Yoko to realize that the girl was in fact not alone, what with the small child atop her lap--which Yoko had nearly mistaken for a doll herself, if not for the slight flicking of ears and the too-real glow of the child's eyes.
The addition of the child only had the sight becoming even more baffling than before.
With a curious hum and a flick of her silken tail, she dared to stride closer, her head canting somewhat curiously. With every second, Yoko found herself drawing closer and closer to the pair. Certain things began to become apparent to her as she approached; The other hybrid's unblinking gaze, and the almost porcelain appearance of her entire form. Even her attire seemed too perfect, like it too might belong more to a doll than to a living creature. Perhaps the even stranger aspect of the girl though was her complete and utter disregard for the navy haired woman's presence, even when she stood within only feet of the swing.
"Isn't it a bit late to be outside with such a young child?"
There were many other things she could have said in greeting, but as to be expected, the most accusatory option was the one that made it through her lips. She couldn't help but to silently damn herself for her lack of control over her own tongue.

It was a somewhat normal night for Hana, all things considered. She had been home the majority of the day, alternating between quietly sewing child-sized outfits together, lounging with her sister, and playing soft, albeit somewhat eerie songs on her violin that had their neighbors doing everything they could to try and block out the noise. It was a rather boring, uneventful day all things considered.
When Ayako came home, she did so silently, slipping into the house and avoiding her aunt's gaze before sliding into her seat at the table, allowing her mother to brush her growing hair perfectly straight. Neither said a word until long after the brush had been put away and it was time for dinner--a simple meal the violet haired hybrid had prepared for the trio.
"Mother, can we go to the park?" Ayako asked in the middle of their meal, making Hana blink, her head lifting. At first, she spared a glance over towards her sister, giving a confused flick of her ear before looking back towards her daughter.
"The park?" she asked, sounding rather confused.
"Yes. The one down the street, with the swings and the jungle-gym. I would like to play outside," the child explained. Her voice lacked any true enthusiasm, but the look in her eyes ultimately had Hana nodding. Without another word dinner was finished and cleaned up and the pair were leaving, even despite Suna's protests.
Perhaps Ayako had planned to have a grand adventure in the park, but once there she found herself... a little underwhelmed. The girl spent some time kicking rocks and drawing in the sand with her claws, only to spend twice as much time sitting in a cleaner spot, trying to brush the same sand out of her tail.
It was Hana who found an interest in the swingset. For nearly half an hour she sat there alone, gently rocking herself forward and back as her eyes trailed after her daughter's every move, watching her curiously. She was somewhat baffled by the girl's insistence on coming to the park, especially given how bored the girl seemed once there. Still, Hana said nor did anything to encourage or discourage the girl, instead simply letting her do as she wished.
Before long, Ayako found herself letting out a soft sigh. Wordlessly she found herself striding back towards her mother, pulling herself up onto the other's lap. They remained that way for the next quarter-hour, swinging gently, solely enjoying the other's presence, as well as the cool air of the falling evening.
Not a soul had seemed to pay them any real mind. The occasional passerby gave the pair an odd stare, but none stopped to question the two bizarre individuals.
Not until Yoko appeared, anyway.
The hybrid's words had Hana and Ayako's gazes lifting in unison, though it was only Hana who gave a confused tilt of her head to the side.
"There is no school tomorrow," she responded simply, as if that alone justified being out at night with a child. For an extended moment she said nothing, instead simply peering up at the other out of both confusion... as well as interest. Without a word she slowly halted the swinging of their seat, releasing the chains in favor of reaching her arms down, gently coiling them around Ayako's form before bringing herself smoothly to her feet. Her eyes never once left Yoko's own, not even to blink.
"Is this your park?" she eventually asked, her head slowly and smoothly tilting to the opposite side from before.
