It's time to go. There's a buzzing of unhappiness from the otherworldly guests; they are enraged by the attack on their hostess, by the disrespect to their tradition, and what had been a friendly crowd is now stalking the halls for human blood. The only way out is through.
For this phase, you will be rolling 1d12 and using your results to guide your escape from the court of the sorrowful one. You must fill in your previous post before you can roll again. Participation in this segment is mandatory for entry into various post-meta raffles; if you have no intention of trying for bonus powers or for the art raffle, you don't need to play.
You may choose to team up and escape in a separate thread; if so, please designate one person to roll for your group and quote shibe to let him know. :3
THE DICE TABLE 1 - This stretch of hall is clear. You encounter no enraged otherbeings or obstacles. 2 - You've dead-ended on a third-floor guest wing. Turn around and try again. 3 - You've found a way out, but it's blocked by an otherbeing. Take a moderate wound/10 damage and escape or run and reroll! 4 - You've dead-ended in the peacock garden. Take five damage from vicious peacocks and continue on. 5 - You've been found by an enraged otherbeing! Take five damage and continue on. 6 - This stretch of hall is clear. You encounter no enraged otherbeings or obstacles. 7 - You've found an enraged otherbeing, but managed to stealth by them. Keep going! 8 - This stretch of hall is clear. You encounter no enraged otherbeings or obstacles. 9 - You've found a way out, but it's blocked by an obstacle. Take five damage and escape, or turn around and try again! 10 - You've encountered an enraged otherbeing. Take five damage and keep going! 11 - You've dead-ended in what seems to be a kitchen. Take some food and keep running! 12 - You have successfully found a way out!
Should your health drop below 0, you are downed and (if you're soloing it) must roll 1d4 for rescue! If you're in a group, they can carry your lame a** ;3 That table looks like this:
1 - You call out for help and no one answers. Roll again. 2 - You call out for help and a friendly plant-person comes and rubs some kind of energizing gel on your face. Gain five health and get going! 3 - You find the drive to get up and keep going. Gain five health. 4 - You're just gonna rest here for a bit... Roll again :3
Once you've successfully gotten out, congrats! Your character has returned to Ashdown, and your involvement in the meta is over... for now...

Ashton Carver 25/25 | LET'SA GO
"Well, s**t," says Ashton eloquently, who's been quiet and poised throughout watching the entire sacrifice, and then she thinks christ, I can't run in heels. Not only that, but she's mainly kept to one stretch of the party throughout the entire night, so - this will be entertaining, if nothing else.
She really hopes nobody's going to break their leg. She'd have to help, then, and it'd impede her own escape. Being a Good Samaritan isn't enough reward for dying.
The creature (because, really, enraged as they are, these don't bear much resemblance to people anymore) snaps and claws, prowling the hallways with a circlet of golden eyes, but Ashton keeps her distance and crosses the hallway when it shreds a curtain into scraps of fabric in fury. One down. Plenty more to go.

Marcus 25/25 By himself
Hands shook, he felt cold, and the last of the scotch sloshed in it's container and he was pretty sure he was sick. He had to be. The acid reflex he was experiencing was not normal. Maybe it was something he ate. Or drank. He'd drunk a lot though he wasn't drunk yet. Buzzed but not drunk.
Panic filled vermilion orbs flickered back and forth down the hall as he tried to navigate the way he'd come from when he'd entered.

Susan Greer - 25/25 - getting the hell outta dodgeQuote: You've been found by an enraged otherbeing! Take five damage and continue on. Susan was in utter turmoil. Shock, rage, and fear bubbled within her. Her chest felt tight, her hands shook... "I've got to- got to get out of here..." She knew it was too late, though. How could she ever forget that much blood? That much death? She ran, but not far. A man, too tall to be human, cornered her. He grinned as she cowered, cracking his flat palm across her cheek. Her head spun. His hand had not only hurt, it had burned. The pain brought tears to her eyes. She tore away from him as quickly as she could, and lost him around the corner.

Marcus 25/25
In his attempts in finding a way home, Marcus found something a whole heck of a lot better.
The kitchen.
He had no idea if his magical outfit would last when he got home but until then, he had more booze in his bottle, and a pocket full of tiny cakes neatly wrapped for his trip alongside one apple because in his buzzed and shock aided mind, it was healthy and he should at least try to eat healthy.
Even if his stomach was protesting any thought of actually eating, the flashes of blood and corpses still all too fresh.

roll result 10 - You've encountered an enraged otherbeing. Take five damage and keep going! Juniper Wilcox | 20/25 | Dashing for safetyJuniper managed to get herself out of the tithe room and was heading towards the Silver Hall when she noted others were heading in the general direction of the exit. She didn't need any more nudging to change her intended destination. Unfortunately, it seemed that an otherbeing had taken note of her, and her distance from the doors. The thing was...well, interesting to say the least with long hair that looked almost alive like worms, and a muddy brown skin. Juniper did her damn best to dodge around the creature, but it was persistent, and managed to hit the young woman on the shoulder. Juniper, thankfully, didn't loose her momentum though, and managed to dodge around the otherbeing and avoid anymore hits as she rushed towards the doors and freedom. Nothing was gonna stop her right now.

Roll result 7 - You've found an enraged otherbeing, but managed to stealth by them. Keep going! Juniper Wilcox | 20/25 No sooner had she slipped outside of the doors some others had just used did she find another Otherbeing. This one though was being distracted by something and hadn't looked in her direction yet. So, with careful steps and slow motion she eased past it, step by step. She didn't make any fast movements so she wouldn't catch it's attention. Carefully, and what felt like an eternity, she managed to slip past the otherbeing. Once she felt she was at a safe enough distance she darted again.

Roll Results 11 - You've dead-ended in what seems to be a kitchen. Take some food and keep running! Juniper Wilcox | 20/25She slammed open a door in what she had thought led to a hallway that would take her to the exit, but instead she found herself in...well...she supposed it was a kitchen. There was food everywhere. Some was half eaten, others looked ready to be sent out to guests. A rumble in her stomach, prompted Jun to not think twice about grabbing up what looked somewhat like a croscant but...wasn't quite it. It had a touch of jam or something in the middle. Still it did the trick as she took a bite of it before hurrying back out the door she had come.

Roll Result 3 - You've found a way out, but it's blocked by an otherbeing. Take a moderate wound/10 damage and escape or run and reroll! Juniper Wilcox | 10/25 | Escaping! There it was! The way out! Juniper could sweet, sweet, sweet freedom. All she needed to do was get through the gates and she would be able to head home. She was craving the sweet embrace of her bed and Star's soft purrs to lull her to sleep. If she was lucky, she'd be able to get a few hours sleep before heading into work, and that sounded marvelous at this point. With the lovely thought of being wrapped up in her covers soon, Jun hurried to the exit as fast she could. Only to feel an impact against her side which caused her to topple over onto the ground with an Otherbeing on top of her. Jun struggled against her attacker. She wasn't able to get a very good look at what or who it was but she damn well knew that whatever it was they had quite a deadly set of claws as they sliced a shallow cut on her cheek. "Get off of me, a*****e!" She bellowed, and attempted to roll to bring her assailant underneath her but failed. With claws flying, Juniper knew she needed to get away asap. So, after a lot of wiggling and fighting she managed to get a leg free enough to kick upwards, causing the Otherbeing to scream out in pain. Juniper's own voice joined the Otherbeing's as she felt pain lance down her uppser arm. She couldn't let her opportunity go to waste. The Otherbeing was hissing and gasping on the ground. So, holding a hand over her wound, blood seeping generously through her fingers, Juniper clambored to her feet, ditching her heels in the process. Thanks to whatever gods there were, she was able to get herself out and away from the manor where the ball had been held. With no evidence of anyone following her she paused, breathing heavily, to look at her aching arm. A jagged, un clean cut ran from just below her shoulder joint to just above her elbow and but the look of it, it was going to need some professional tending to. It was hard to tell by the blood loss, but she was pretty damn sure it was down into muscle. "Dammit." She cursed. So much for seeing her bed anytime soon. Instead she'd be spending her time getting stitched up at the hospital and acquiring a medical bill she knew she couldn't afford.

Animals liked Ashton! She'd proven this! She never got bitten, never got scratched - but, well. There was a first time for everything. Including peacock attack, anyways.
At least none of them were too deep. That would have been a fun explanation.

Halo-of-eyes from earlier was back, of course, which meant either Ashton had accidentally doubled back in her haste to avoid further peacock encounters or they'd decided to move out towards the peacocks. Either was possible. Neither was preferable.
She would have attempted conversation, but upon seeing her, they belched a gout of flame and suddenly anything was looking a lot more preferable than this hallway. And this had been a nice outfit, too.

ashton carver | 10/25 | escape!
Quote: 9 - You've found a way out, but it's blocked by an obstacle. Take five damage and escape, or turn around and try again!
There was only so far one could run in heels - and, on second thought, Ashton wasn't sure why she'd worn heels anyways, given that they were painful on a normal day even without considering her occasional claws - but throwing them away seemed to satisfy halo-of-all-seeing-eyes, who'd sprouted several mouths to tear them to shreds.
Ashton hadn't waited after that. She'd kept running.
What was a broken window between her and freedom? Alright, so she'd never climbed through broken glass before, but. Most people hadn't. And it wasn't - she'd be scraped up, bleeding, tomorrow; but... she knew the ways to hide those. And she was going home. Because right now, Ashton Carver really, really hated faeries.

Cam Rylan | 20/25 | peacocks
After the mess in the silver hall, Rylan had shaken his head and walked away. They couldn't save Adoelle, perhaps shouldn't, and now people wanted to save the Spinel Lady, in spite of all the things she'd done. None of that had been a secret, from the moment they'd encountered her in the ivory hall to now. It wasn't a matter of morality, it was a matter of what was best for the people. And Rylan was sure saving her wasn't it. If anything, it probably enraged her.
Time to get out.
He hurried away, knowing that time was of the essence. The otherbeings would not be pleased. His route took him to a dead end, and after fending off some angry peacocks, he turned back.
