A hungry tummy was being satisfied by the food offered in the dining hall; Aurelia was quite enjoying her meal, humming to herself while she chewed and kicked her legs rhythmically, her tail swaying happily behind her. She had managed to sneak away a couple of small pieces of fish, carefully wrapped and put in her pocket, so she could give her familiars a treat when she got back to her room. Oh, they were fed just fine but the Nixie liked to give them treats from her own meals just so they didn't feel like they were being left out; she even managed to sneak a snickerdoodle into her pocket for them (she would have gotten a chocolate chip cookie but she didn't think chocolate would be good for either of them.) She even had a couple of cookies left over for a sweet treat for herself after she was done....but she wished someone was there to share them with. She could always save them for later when she did have someone to share one with, because cookies tasted better when shared. It was a rare thing that she was sitting mostly by herself with no one close by; she was a very social girl, after all. Honestly, her mind was wandering and thinking about someone.....someone she had made a promise to.

Meadow was making a pig of himself. He had already helped himself to mac and cheese, and a bunch of fish sticks, a brownie, 2 cups of fruit salad, and now he was eyeing up the cookies. Of course he knew he was going to be sick later, but right now, it was fun! He had 4 ginger snaps in his hands and a chocolate chip cookie in his mouth. He hummed happily and was walking to a table when he spotted a familiar tail sticking out. He grinned around the cookie in his mouth before walking up behind Aurelia and put his elbows on her head. "Murmph hum rur." He tried talking, but just got crumbs down his chest. He quickly shoved the rest of the first cookie in his mouth.

Aurelia was thinking of the fun time she had with Meadow and that he wanted to see her familiars. She had told Gabby and Gozu all about him and they both seemed excited to meet this person (well, at least to her it did. For all she knew, they didn't understand a thing she said.) The Nixie was just about to let out a rare sigh when she felt things on her head that were somewhat bony....and then a muffled voice followed by the sound of crumbs hitting the floor. Curious and excited, she turned to look and the biggest smile crossed her face when she saw who was stuffing a cookie in his face behind her. "Yay! I found a Meadow!" She giggled as she saw how much of a pig he was being, looking at his hands full of cookies and the little bits of chocolate and crumbs that now decorated the corners of his mouth. "I was just thinking about you, too! You must be psychic..." Aurelia then raised her hands up by her face and wiggled her faces while making a "wooooo" sound, unable to keep a straight face as she was reduced to snorting giggles.

"Psychic? Oh! Maybe I am! I'll have to test this out! Let me see if I can tell what you're thinking!" He made sure all his cookies were in one hand, he brushed the crumbs off his face and shirt, then put two fingers to his forehead. Meadow's face scrunched up and he stuck his tongue out the corner of his mouth. "Mmmmh... you're thinking... you want one of my cookies?" He opened one eye and peeked at her before moving to sit down beside the nixie. "So you were thinking about me? Were you thinking about eating clouds too? I was, and that made me hungry." He looked at the cookies in his hand, then grabbed a napkin from one of the dispensers on the table and wrapped up the cookies. He'd keep them for later.

She grinned at him as he shuffled his cookies and cleared himself of crumbs, seeing him take on a rather stereotypical psychic's pose with his face all scrunched up. When his tongue stuck out, she couldn't stop herself from giggling; he looked so silly and cute, it was just too much. "Noooo, I was actually gonna share one of mine with you." She smiled brightly at him when he peeked at her, turning herself around to face him once he sat down next to her.
"I was thinking about how we said we'd play again and you wanted to meet my familiars." She grabbed one of her cookies and started nibbling on it as her tail wiggled happily. "I got some treats I was gonna go give them; did you want to come with me? Or I could get them and bring them somewhere? You'll get to meet them and play with them! They're lots of fun." She looked at him as she wondered what his answer would be, wiggling in place just a little.

"Hey, I was half right. It was about cookies at least." He laughed. "I think... I think I don't need any more cookies, but thanks! I think maybe... I'll decline this time though." He was actually feeling full now. So full. He needed to run and work off this food. "Let's go play with your familiars." He said suddenly jumping to his feet. "I want to meet them. And you said your bat was picky with who he liked? Or... or am I getting it wrong? I thought you said he didn't like everyone at first. I have to win him over!" He was determined. "If I can't win over your familiars, I'll never be able to have one of my own. They might never like me. I can't let that happen. Come on, what are you waiting for, Aurelia? Let's go!" It might not have been sound logic, but Meadow was convinced that if one single familiar didn't like him, then no familiar would like him.

Aurelia giggled a bit; yes, he was half right in that it involved cookies. She nodded in agreement that he had plenty of cookies (although, to be honest, she felt like you could never have enough cookies) and was already getting her second cookie ready to be eaten when he jumped up suddenly, seemingly overcome with excitement to play with her familiars. She blinked a bit in mild shock that his excitement seemed to outdo her own, which was rare. He seemed so worried that he couldn't win over Gozu and she couldn't help but smile. "Nah, he's just shy around strangers but I have a super awesome trick that you can use to make him like you." She stuffed the other cookie in her pocket and stood up, leading Meadow to her dorm while skipping a bit. Once she opened her door, she announced rather loudly in a sing-song voice. "I'm baaaaaaack!"
A blanket that was in the middle of the floor moved as a lump began to wiggle beneath it, worming its way to one end before the little head of a sealpup peeked out, its eyes finding Aurelia and it seemed to smile. It made a little barking noise and flopped its way over to her feet excitedly, the Nixie picking her up with a smile and turning to Meadow. "This is Gabby; she's basically my sister in sealpup form. Gabby, this is my friend Meadow. He's the super-cool artist that I told you about." Gabby looked up at Meadow and her whiskers twitched in a smile, followed by a happy bark. "Hmm...now where's Gozu? I think he's hiding again."

Meadow followed her back to the dorm, and peeked around her when she announced her arrival. He saw the lump wiggle and when he saw the sealpup, his face split in a wide grin. So cute... He needed to get himself one of those! He needed a sealpup. He needed any familiar, really. "Hi Gabby!" He said to the sealpup. "Is it ok if I pet you?" He didn't want to assume that the pup would let him touch it... her? Aurelia said sister, so yeah. Her. But he had to admit, he really did want to meet Aurelia's nezubat. He wanted one of his own so much! "Is your friend hiding around here somewhere?" He glanced around, eyes darting upwards, fully expecting the bat to be like hanging from the ceiling or something cool like that.

Lural Gozu is pretty much guaranteed to catch the food if Meadow throws it and be happy as a clam.
"Watch this cool trick....Gozu! Yum-yums, comin' up!" She called out to the hiding nezubat before picking off a piece of the fish and tossing it up in the air. It sailed as high as she could toss it and just as it started dropping, a flash of purple fur dove from its hiding place behind the window curtain; Gozu, swept up the piece of fish in his claws and fluttered in place for a moment as he nibbled on it, making happy chittering sounds as he had his prize. Aurelia grinned broadly and then broke off another piece of fish, handing it to Meadow. "Go ahead and try it! He will love you forever, I promise; he catches it every time. It's how I get him to come out of hiding."

Well, she seemed to be ok with it. Was that a happy bark? He was going to assume so, and reached out to pat the sealpup's soft velvety fur. "Ohmygosh you're so soft." He was totally in love. He pet the seal pup for a moment before Aurelia put the cutie on the floor and pulled out the goodies from her pocket. Meadow looked up when she called out to the bat and tossed the fish stick piece. Suddenly a purple blur zipped out and caught the snack, and Meadow's eyes widened in awe as the bat caught it and ate the treat. "Whoooooooooooa." He was totally enamored with the bat and didn't notice Aurelia offer the fish to him at first. "Huh? Oh! Ok." He was was game, willing to try it. Carefully he took the piece of fish and watched the bat. "Um.... Gozu? Yum-yums comin up." He didn't know if he needed to say that or not, but he did, then tossed the fish into the air.

Aurelia stifled a giggle when he mimicked her call to Gozu. The nezubat's ears perked up at the call and caught the offering from the unfamiliar person next to his girl. If this naiad was offering him fish, then he must be someone good. Gozu quickly scarfed down the fish treat and flew in circles quite happily before fluttering down to perch on Meadow's shoulder so he could clean his face after his treat. Seems it was rather easy to earn the nezubat's approval.
Gabby had enjoyed the compliment about her fur, even making a happy sound of pride before Aurelia had put her down. She smelled the fish and watched with big, glistening eyes as it was being taken apart and used to lure out her furry flying friend. He had gotten two pieces....and yet she didn't get any. Gabby nosed Aurelia's leg and made a whimpering sound, which got her a smile. "Aww don't worry, Gabs. I didn't forget you..." Aurelia pulled out another piece of fish she had stowed away and gave it to the sealpup, giggling as her tail slapped the floor happily before digging in. The nixie smiled and looked over at Meadow with Gozu on his shoulder. "See? I knew they'd like you just as much as I do." She smiled brightly, glad that her furry friends enjoyed her Daydream friend.

When the bat landed on his shoulder, Meadow started laughing. "MWAHAHA! I can be a mighty beast tamer!" He grinned, reaching up to gently touch the bat's furry belly, before looking at the sealpup as it begged for food. "Aw, We didn't forget about you. We just wanted everyone to come out and enjoy all the treats!" He reached down and pat her again as Aurelia gave her the fish. "I'm glad they like me." He sort of nuzzled into the nezubat. "We should try and play something! Something all of us can play. Like dress up!"

Aurelia let out a hardy laugh when he called himself a mighty beast tamer, utterly amused by the way he said it. It was just too funny. Gozu tittered happily when his belly was touched, holding on as Meadow bent down to pet Gabby when she reminded their owner not to leave her out. The nezubat returned the nuzzle briefly before distracting himself by cleaning one of his wings.
"Dress-up? That'd be fun!" Aurelia smiled at the suggestion while Gabby was busy munching away. "Why stop there? We can play house and they can be our babies! We can dress them up, feed them, give them baths, rock them to sleep..." She was counting on her fingers as she listed off things they could do, bouncing in place a bit as she was getting excited. "Lets get some stuff from the playroom! I'll get some doll clothes and the baby carriage in there!" Aurelia was already dashing off to go get the things she said she would, eager to play the 'mommy' role more accurately.

Gozu was officially the coolest familiar, though Gabby was a close second. But Gozu could sit on his shoulder, so that made him win. Meadow reached up again to pet the nezubat, since he seemed to like it, but was also mindful as he was cleaning a wing. "Yeah, dress up.... House?" He blinked. He wasn't sure about playing house. He didn't want to rock the 'babies' to sleep. He wanted to run around with them and play pirates or tag or pretend the floor was lava, and they were exploring a dangerous mountain. You know, NORMAL games. Not something as weird as 'house.' But Aurelia was already dashing off to get toys from the play room. Meadow stayed in her room, and sat down on the floor to pet Gabby with one hand, and kept petting Gozu with the other. "If we're playing house, I bet you guys will like me better. I'm gonna be the fun parent, and we're gonna play all the games and have all the snacks." He decided, nodding at the pair.

Both the familiars nuzzled up to the pettings, Gozu finished with grooming himself as he listened to what the naiad was saying. Both seemed to grasp the concept that they were going to have fun at the very least and the mention of snacks had them both perked up. Aurelia, meanwhile, had only managed to find a couple of outfits that weren't being used by dolls and tossed them into the doll carriage along with a bottle of water and a small carton of milk she had snagged. Amidst those items were a few other things; a pirate hat and bandanna along with about three eye patches and two toy swords. Her version of 'house' was going to be a little different than others.
"I'm back!" She announced as she rolled the carriage full of items into her room, picking up Gabby and placing her inside of it in a soft empty space. The sealpup blinked in confusion, sniffing at the milk carton curiously "Ah-ah, not yet Gabby; that's for afterwards. First, we have to secure the ship-house and plunder us some booty!" She grinned and glanced back at Meadow. "We can play this outside, ok? Lots of room to run around and swing our swords so we don't break anything.....and so I don't get in trouble again.." She mumbled that last part and was already rolling the carriage outside, hoping he would follow. Gozu had a feeling that the naiad would follow his nixie, so he stayed perched upon Meadow's shoulder firmly, curious as to what they were doing. Gabby seemed just happy to be going for a ride in the carriage.
