He was slow to wake. It was quiet, he was warm and comfortable, and he didn't immediately realize he wasn't in his own bed. Nor did he realize his arm was looped over the soft curves of another person, rather than a pillow. Although that changed the more he consciousness began to return to him, slow though it was. His body was stubbornly holding onto the idea of sleep, it was dark out(or at least darker out then it had been when he'd gone to bed earlier), he was comfortable, why move? Except there was curly hair tickling one of his cheeks, stuck to his lower lip, and he smelled...pumpkin spice? Wit a small grunt, the bouncer cracked open his eyes, peering blearily around the room, then down at the body he seemed to be spooned around. Mercy. She'd asked if he'd wanted to hang out, watch a movie. Obviously he'd fallen asleep, as he'd warned. But how had they gotten into this position? "Mercy?" He didn't move, yet, other than a small tilt of his head to murmur closer to her ear. If her breathing was any indication, she was asleep.

Waking up was always a process for Mercy, since she spent so many late nights gaming [she was on vacation from work], so when she felt something warm beside her in the middle of the night, she automatically shifted so that she could cuddle closer to said warmth, settling back into sleep before long. The next time she was close to consciousness, her nose picked up something that clearly wasn't apart of her room, the fresh scent of Old Spice slowly bringing her to her senses. A shiver went down her spine when she heard a distinctly male voice calling her. Hummn...Was it Krieg? or Reaper? Either way was a delicious way to wake up to..."M-mmmh?" She blinked slowly, frowning slightly when she found herself staring at a male chest rather than her wall. Her eyes slowly moved up until she was looking at Edward's chin? "E-Edward? You're not Kreig or Reaper...." She was still a bit sleepy, but she would take Ed over Kreig and Reaper...Mercy tilted her head back up at him with a small smile. "Sleep well?" She hopped she didnt try to cope a feel in her sleep.

The names didn't make any sense to him. They couldn't have been other chosen, but they also could have been literally anything else. He stared back at her for a moment, head shifting on the pillow so focusing on her face was a little easier. "Is that a bad thing?" Curiosity made him wonder. Her question, following the confusing observation, earned her a crooked smile. "Pretty well. You could have woken me up, you know. Kicked me back into my own room." Unless she'd liked the idea of cuddling up with him, and if that was the case, he kind of wanted to know. She was pretty, young, energetic, and didn't seem put off by her over all moodiness. She was also only a shared bathroom away.

"No, it's a good thing. Krieg and Reaper are video game characters" she cleared her throat and blushed a little, looking away. She was sure she sounded extremely nerdy and fangirlish, but she never denied being a nerd so it wasn't as embarrassing as it would normally be. Her blush deepened but she replied all the same, "Why? You were clearly tired and it would've been rude to just kick you out. Sides, it's not like...I don't like you being here..." He was warm and while she did like having her bed to herself, having Ed in it just felt comfortable. But she also didn't want to just assume things, since assuming things lead to some terrible choices in the past.

Even tired, the smirk was probably pronounced enough to translate. Was she blushing? Why yes, yes she was. Over video games. "Not really that rude, I mean it's your bed, and you don't know me that well yet." It was a very reasonable observation, in his opinion. Though he was grateful she hadn't kicked him out. It had been a nice, long nap, and it was always nice waking up to an attractive warm body. Well...usually nice. "You like me being here, hmm?" He wondered if he could push that blush up a shade deeper.

"True, Im just not that kind of person." Kicking some one out of bed that wasnt feeling so well seemed like a d**k move. It was the least she could do since Ed couldve just denied her request to watch a movie with her. "Sides, by the time the movie was done, you were laying over me and I was just too tired to kick you out." Plus she was still a bit scared due to the movie. Gods she felt like a chicken s**t. She could kill some one in "almost" cold blood, but she couldnt handle a flippin scary doll. Her father would be laughing his a** off if he were here. Mercy had finally noticed the smirk Edward was sporting, and she raised an eyebrow, giving him a smirk of her own. "I dont know you all that well no, but its not like I cant kick your a** if you just so happened to be dangerous." Frankly, she was bluffing, but tall, blonde and not so grumpy didnt need to know that. She doesnt know any martial arts, but she does know the "kick 'em where it hurts", which has a 100% accuracy rate. If she was allowed to bring her hamer with her everywhere, then she would use that. "Anyways, we're roomies. Had to break the ice somehow right? I was curious to see if you were always a victim of grumpiness..." She gave him a once over, that stupid blush darkening just a tad. "I suppose youre not that bad~" she cleared her throat one more time, narrowing her eyes at him for his question. "Yes...I-I said that before. I wasnt lying...." Her cheeks puffed out and she looked the other way while thinking about how nice it would be to play some Borderlands, anything to forget how much she was blushing at the moment. Ugh.... men and their stupidly good looks. Or rather, chosen and their stupidly good looks.

He looked at her skeptically, lips ticked up in a little smirk. "I'm twice your size, muscled, and you have no idea why Ares chose me." A chuckle followed, then a small shake of his head. "You sure you can kick my a**?" He had his doubts, but of course, he also didn't know why she'd been chosen. So there was a chance, he supposed. It didn't really matter, though. He didn't think she'd actually try to beat him up, not unless he pushed her to it, and he didn't have any inclinations of doing that. He was quite comfortable where he was, and far too amused by the spreading blush. Though he did offer a brief frown. "I'm not always grumpy." Just most of the time. But still. Rising up a bit, he lay his head in his hand, elbow braced on the pillow so he could look down at her. "Your're turning quite pink. Something wrong, mercy?" Pale brows rose, instigating.

It was Mercy's turn to look skeptical. Was she really that unintimidating? Yeah sure she was a bit short but... "Pfft! Yes, I can kick your a**~ The bigger they are the harder they fall right? I may not know why you were chosen, but you don't know why I was either~" Her blush stayed put but was slowly receding as time went along. Which was good in her opinion. She hated feeling like some sort of school girl, regardless of the situation. Not always grumpy hummn? Mercy was about to give Ed an answer he probably wouldn't like when he shifted a little, commenting on the blush that she would rather want to forget. "N-No, nothing's wrong....And you're always grumpy. At least from what I've observed." She could feel her blush deepening but instead of hiding away, she leaned in a bit, looking up at him with a slightly challenging grin. So what if she was blushing? It's not like he was going to tease her endlessly about it.
