Every aspiring mage should be filling up their spell books with all sorts of magic they've learned. From young to old, Nightmares and Daydreams that practice magic are always adding to their collection. This thread is a place to track your Nightmare/Daydream's self-study of whatever magical arts they'd like to undertake. Note that while your Nightmare/Daydream can learn new spells or specialize in different types of magic in class, they can also undertake the task at home!

For every 250 words you write about your Nightmare/Daydream studying/practicing, you earn 1 point that you can use to spend on learning a new spell! For every 250 words, regardless of how many posts you have or how many NMs/DDs are in a post, you get 1 point. Self-studies cannot be ORPs, they can be PRPs with a maximum of 3 participants OR solos. Your self-study roleplay must be finished before you can claim points for it! Logically only the NMs/DDs that do the studying should be redeeming points for spells/specializations - however we are not going to keep a tally of this for you, we are only tallying how many points total you have. We will not monitor your self-studies, you must turn them in to this thread yourself for points. Use the forms provided in this thread. You will be quoted when your points have been deducted for your purchase. You may only make 2 purchases per month. This automatically rolls over on the 1st of the next month.

If the spell your learning is Restricted, you must first get permission from nepsah or Yushika. Add 2pts to the cost. For every 5% specialization, add 1pt cost (i.e. a 10% specialization costs 2pts).][/size]
Information about what spells/specializations you can purchase can be found here: Spell Books / Battle System Information
Cost to learn spell is determined by MP cost: 5MP = 1pt, 10MP = 2pts, 15MP = 3pts, 20MP = 4pts, 25MP = 5pts -- Restricted spells + 2pts (+ permission from nepsah or Yushika) Cost to specialize is determined by percentage amount: 5% = 1pt, 10% = 2pts, 15% = 3pts, 20% = 4pts, 25% = 5pts You can specialize in casting methods, or magical branches (i.e., Invocation vs. Casting, or Aerastia vs. Runic) Remember that altogether, your maximum specialization cannot exceed -80 including racial aptitudes!
