"Every time I step out of the house like this, something bad, always seems to happen." Meru had powered up earlier in the evening, and she now found herself at a small, hidden park. It seemed like a place not well traversed, even during the day time. "Well, it looks like no one is interested in being here?"

The park was clean and, at least to Meru, quaint. There were no flowers, but a bench sat on one side accompanied by several trees bunched together. During the day, there would be sufficient shade to keep a family picnic cool. At the moment, it would provide enough darkness not the be seen. Meru looked down at her outfit. It would hard for someone to miss her with all the glitter.

Meru could suddenly feel someone approaching. She could tell the energy was not friendly and certainly stronger than herself. Immediately, she sunk to beneath the trees, hoping that the shadows would conceal them finding her too easily. It was a pretty pathetic move, but if she couldn't defend herself, what else should she do? She had hoped for nothing more than to just bask in the moonlight, but it didn't seem like what would happen tonight.

School was back in session, and after having a full week of her newest batch of Crystal girls, Cavansite was more than ready to let off some steam. She loved her job, she did. Honestly though, she was half tempted to join the other school, The Haven sounded like such a dream job, plus she’d be under the eyes of other agents and they could help her with things and…

And she really did like being a teacher at Crystal Academy, so that was where she would stay…at least for the school year. Maybe next year she would move.

But, regardless of all of that, she was stressed, and it was time to find a punching bag that she could take it out on…and lucky for her, she felt one nearby, and even luckier for her…they felt weak.

“Come out, come out wherever you are little one~ I might not hurt you if you show yourself now…well, I might not hurt you all that badly. I’m going to hurt you, but it might be less if you cooperate~”

Her voice was sing song and she walked towards the hidden page, almost lazily.

Meru couldn't help but shiver at the sing-song voice. From where she was, she could see exactly whom she was dealing with, and in no way was she getting out of this easily. The Negaverse agent had brown hair with colored bangs. They didn't seem that much older than herself - definitely not as young as others Meru had seen. The worst part? They looked like they had an awfully sharp spear. Meru felt for her ring and it made her feel useless once more.

She moved slowly away from her hiding spot and eventually into the light. It was better if the Negaverse agent didn't know where her original hiding spot had been, just in case it was needed again. "Over here," Meru announced herself. She stood tall, but knew she was probably going to have more pain after tonight.

Her co-workers were probably tired of massaging Meru for free.

"I'm Meru, Page of Cosmos." She gave the Negaverse agent a bow, though she didn't think they'd care much for courtesy. "Is there an option where I don't get hurt at all?"

Wow did she sound pathetic.

Page of Cosmos. Another Cosmos knight. Well. They all had a way of finding her, didn’t they? Or perhaps…Cavansite had a way of finding them. Finding all of them.

One day she would make sure there weren’t any more to find.

Saying nothing, Cavansite let her eyes roam over the page, taking in the sparkling, soft looking purple fabric of her outfit and the stars that dangled from different points.

…And those adorable ribbons in her hair. Well. That would be her trophy from this girl, yes indeed. “An option where you don’t get hurt at all, hm?” The captain mused, sounding only slightly mocking and stroking her spear gently. “Well, I suppose if you give me one of your cute little hair ribbons, I’ll promise not to kill you this time, does that sound fair? I mean, it’s the best you’ll get from me, sweetie, so, you should just hand it over. I like having bits of people, just to remember them, you know?”

She flashed a dangerous little smile and held her hand out.

Stealing things was fun, but demanding them and actually getting her demands was even more fun. Humiliating her enemies was one of the best games she had ever found, and it never got old.

Meru watched as the Negaverse agent's purple eyes examined her. Their outfit was actually really cute and Meru couldn't help but frown at knowing they were evil. Well, maybe not necessarily evil but Chaos aligned.

She cocked her eyebrows when they announced that she'd be spared more pain if Meru handed over one of her ribbons. Instinctively, she reached towards one and fiddled with it. There was no debating that Meru could do nothing to defend herself, but there was no desire to be a pushover. Plus, she liked her ribbons.

"A name should be more than enough to remember someone by." She paused, looking at the ribbon around the agent's neck. "By your logic, shouldn't we trade so I have something to remember you by?" There was a high chance that her 'gift' would be bumps and bruises, but it was worth a try anyways. "I'll trade my ribbon for the one you have around your neck."

Meru looked at the chain with different trinkets. "Is that how you got your other ones?"

Cavansite grinned, touching the sparkling bow at her neck. “Absolutely not. I got this from a Cosmos knight…a gift, of course…and the gem attached to it? Why, that was a gift from another Cosmos knight. She was quite pretty, there was almost a moment when I felt bad for killing her…and then I saw what a pretty starseed I got from her, and I didn’t feel bad anymore.”

She flicked the gem once more and grinned, the expression much like a cat who had cornered a mouse. “So, I don’t really think you’re in the position to be making deals with me, I already made the deal. Your life for the ribbon…now, I think I’d just place it in my hand if I were you, unless you want your starseed to adorn my…”

The captain paused, taking a moment to take stock of her outfit, and finally laughed. “Maybe I’ll attach it to your ribbon when you’re dead, and wear it in my hair. That sounds pretty good, honestly. Since you don’t seem willing to accept my…generosity…”

Her spear glinted in the light from the moon, and it did look…dangerous.

"Do you have an obsession with Cosmos knights or something?" The lady seemed to be quick to anger and Meru didn't understand why. Was she just that used to getting everything she wanted that easily? It didn't seem right. "It sounds kind of unhealthy..."

It seemed like the night would only get worse for Meru. She wasn't doing very well thinking before she spoke. "I don't understand why you're so nasty. I hope your parents and/or family never see you like this." Meru shook her head. Maybe she was just too used to being nice?

Meru's hands went to taking off both ribbons off her braids and braided all her hair to one side, securing it with one of the two ribbons. She held out the ribbon in front of her, but then... decided other wise. She wasn't going to make it easy to take.

She walked to a nearby tree and looked up. The branches were thick and there were many leaves, so in no way could someone just jump from branch to branch. They'd have to maneuver their way up. In no way was Meru a fighter, but that didn't make her weak. She looked back at the Negaverse agent and smiled. "Come and get it."

The tree was relatively easy to scale up and reach her first branch. She sat on it and looked back down. "It's not hard. At least make it a little interesting." Okay, taunting was not a very good idea, but at least Meru would die amused?

Cavansite’s hand had been outstretched to take the ribbon, and there was a grin on her face, a grin which quickly fell away when the page decided to hide herself up in a tree.

Up in a tree?

Seriously? Did she hold that much of a death wish?

The captain looked up at Meru and shook her head slowly. “Stupid move, knight. Stupid move. And here I thought maybe you did have some brains.” Cavansite drew in a breath and focused for a long moment, finally teleporting up into the tree, hooking an arm around the Page and plucking the ribbon from her hand. She grinned once again and pressed closer, whispering into the other woman’s ear. “I don’t think you realize, I have many more tricks up my sleeve than you could ever imagine.”

There was only one way to make her slightly wounded pride feel better, and that was to give the page a good shove, right in the back. “I hope fall comes quickly, dearie.”

"Well, that was unexpected," Meru wondered as blinked, staring at her assailant. She may have tricks that she didn't know about, but the night certainly wasn't interesting. If she could do that, why not just hop on her in the first place and just steal it? Or just kill her for that matter.

Not that Meru wanted to be killed. Possibly pushing the limits, but who knows. She didn't seem to be of right mind that night.

She could feel herself be shoved and there was no way of her landing gracefully. Meru felt a branch and tried grabbing for it, but ultimately landed on her bottom with the branch in hand. "Ouch..." She rubbed herself. Hopefully she'd be able to ask her co-workers for a massage without questions as to why and how...

Without a second thought and somewhat flustered now, Meru threw the stick in her hand. It definitely went high enough to reach, but would it hurt at all? Who knows?

The stick landed a nice hit, and caused a nice little scrape to Cavansite’s cheek. Slowly the captain lifted a hand and looked at the small bit of blood left on her fingers. Well. What a b***h.

She had an idea of how to finish all of this…and she only hoped that she could pull it off…it would require concentration that she wasn’t quite sure she had…but she had to try.

“It was quite fun playing games with you, little knight. But I’m afraid play time is over.”

Cavansite moved to the edge of the branch she was sitting on, and held her spear down, pointing it at Meru…finally letting herself fall from the tree, the pointy end of the sparkling star headed right for the page.

When the spear was less than a foot away, the Captain vanished without a sound, reappearing across town, near her apartment.

Well. That had worked out nicely. A grand escape and a grand first impression…she did hope she had scared the poor thing at least a little bit. She put the ribbon up into her little holding area and let Cavansite melt away, leaving only Karone with a small scratch on her cheek.

Hm. Cosmos knights were such a pain. Tonight would be a good night for a drink…and then a hard nap. Teleporting was exhausting.

Meru watched with surprise as the stick hit the Negaverse agent's cheek and left some blood. That hadn't been her intention, and part of her was thinking that she'd be dead soon. She watched as the spear flew towards her and suddenly disappeared along with the Negaverse agent.

She hadn't realized she was holding her breath and let it out and sighed. "Well, that was an interesting night," she said aloud. There had been a large chance of her dying, but... she didn't. Was there even a battle between them? "Oh well, doesn't matter."

Her bottom was sore and she kept rubbing it as she walked towards her home. Hopefully, there would be no more run-ins tonight. Meru definitely could not handle any more tonight.
