I've thought a lot about you since that night at the inn. I can't stop thinking about how many places of my kingdom I want to show you or the many things I want to do with you throughout this land of rivers and forest green. Though things may be difficult right now for us I know in my heart I'll see you again soon, be it fate or my own design. I will see you again. "I'm glad the name amused you. I was hoping it would have, haha. That night was magical, wasn't it. I can still feel your love and affection, and quiet honestly I think about it quite often. To see your lands once more would be something I'd love to do again, so that I can truly enjoy every single inch of it. Perhaps things won't be so hectic and hopefully it would not be such a scandal for us to be seen walking together through the stone streets of Zalto or Bellris. For now it is hell not to be near your because of the whispers of rebellion, but to know your kingdom will not be accused of treason calms my mind and makes it easier to help reform Bellris into the republic it can be and must be. I can't but question though what is it that you think about my sister's action to seceding from the empire? Maybe you could tell me a little of what your heart feels about this in your next letter. "Truly, my darling Athena, your soul is one most loving and pure. If only the rest of this world though as you, then maybe there wouldn't even be a need for borders as we all thought of family, love and prosperity. While others would frown upon your words and perhaps take them wrong, I embrace them and hold them close to my own creed. One of the many reason Bellris separated from the empire was to hold a sense of freedom yet when I hear the way you talk and read how you speak it shows me what true freedom looks like; A brave heart strong enough to open up and show genuine love. It's reasons just like this that I can say "I Love You" and mean it. I love you Princess Athena of Zalto, and always will. That's why it kills me not to see your strawberry hair or those lovey emerald eyes but the hope to hold you in my sights again is what keeps me excited and anxious to hear what will happen about the protest happening now. "I write to you just days before we launch a preemptive strike on a base of empress sympathizers which Hysteria's spies have discovered. They've infiltrated their ranks and have reported the rebel's plan to raid our armory to supply their militia while also killing some soldiers they would have locked in by smoke from strategically set fires. But now they'll be surprised when we do the same to them, and corner them within their own base like rats within their own nests. The revolution is underway and we here in the republic plan to end our rebellion before it has a chance to even start. I write this hoping you will stay safe as the people rise to overthrow Empress Catherine and I pray that this reaches you in time, that it may warn of what is to come if it hasn't already happen in your Kingdom of Zalto as it surely will in all the other kingdoms as well. I'm sorry if my sudden stop in messaging you worried you or made you think I had forgotten of you. ""It both brightens my world and darkens my heart to read your words. While I am ever thankful to the gods that you and your family survived the revolution my heart burns with the need to see you again. I will not have some other man have you when I fully intend to have you as my eternal love. I'd sooner burn in the fires of hell before letting any other man love you the way I have loved you...But I am getting ahead of myself and owe you a full explanation of what has been going on.
I am sorry for worrying you, my sweet dove. I did not write to you for I couldn't risk imperial spies tracking any messengers or messages I would send to you. The attack on Catherine's imperial sympathisers was a smashing success and there we were able to capture and integrate key members to obtain critical information on other plans they had organized with other foreign bodies. We quickly marched out to cleanse our republic of any bad weeds left and soon had a completely loyal populous. But that was not enough for this man. Now that I've had a taste of glory I know that I am destined to become stronger. I just needed to prove it.
I found the excuse to aid the revolution as my way of finding more glory but sadly I could not claim the victories by name. Had the neighboring kingdoms heard I was aiding Azazel's revolt they might have distrusted the entire Republic of Bellris since I was entering battles upon their lands. While I didn't take any property I had to help in the pillaging and burning...and so me and my men brought back many treasures to enrich the Republic.
Since my return there have been many who've wanted to congratulate me on my victories in my republic but there has also been many troubles to deal with. The most predominant being the death of my sister Theodora. At the eruption of Mt.Adara my sister happened to be visiting the kingdom of Ethe and was swept away in the blast while trying to flee. Her passing was also why I did not write you when I arrived home. Hearing of her loss after the revolutionary war was too much at the time.
But these are the reasons I have worried you and for that I'm sorry I haven't written to you earlier. That is why I write this letter very bright and early to you. I had to tell you what had happened and to hopefully ease your mind. I'm also writing to tell you that I plan on seeing you very soon so don't be surprised if I appear unannounced to surprise you; And wrap you up in my arms once again

"Your burdens are my burdens, and your pain is my pain. I'm sorry my beloved dove to hear your cries through this paper and feel powerless to mend you from this far away from your side. I wish I could drop everything to be by you and hold in my arms, to be your rock in your tempest of emotions... But I can't. Just like you I am cursed to a position that demands my all at all times and so I can not leave my people to be with you this time. Yet, in this letter I will still try to as though I am at your side. I love you Athena, and still your father loves you as well. You have such a soul that is proud and truthful that your father smiles down upon you. It is painful to lose someone close to you but they are not lost to us. We all must pass away one day as is the law of all living things so this isn't a "goodbye" as much as a "see you later". Your father has passed on to a higher plain but he hasn't fully passed away in the sense that he lives on through you. Your heart, mind and actions are all molded by your time with your father and the life lessons he has pass on to you. He loves you still and smiles proudly at not only you but the rest of your family too, for how proud you must make him feel and how well you all loved him too. Take comfort in the knowledge that he no longer is burdened by the weight of our world and that one day you will all see each other again. Take comfort that your father loves you and forever will.
Here I was trying to comfort you but still you bring me comfort I didn't know I needed. It brings me joy to be in love with you Athena. I know you'll be strong through this trial of emotions but never forget that I'll be here for you if ever you need someone to talk to. On the subject of family I thought it would be wise to let you know that I have spoken with my sister about us and she has given our relationship her full blessings. She hasn't spoken publicly about us but she knows and she's actually very happy I chose you. A woman's guidance can do me a lot of good, she says laughingly. If something is needed for your family don't hesitate to tell me or ask a favor of me. While it may be slightly tricky to send you gifts without arousing gossip it won't be impossible nor an annoyance. It's not the same as me being there but hopefully it can ease things for you and your family.

"You had written with child in your last letter and my heart nearly leapt out of my chest to read that! I am beyond words to express my joy if what you have written is true, and I wish to have you by my side as soon as possible. I received a letter from my sister saying that she wishes to see me soon about somethings, but if you can make it please come to Bellris Castle so that I may hold you and our child in my arms. I have so many things to say and there are so many things to plan on now that we are to create a family together but I need my woman by my side if I am to build a future with her.
