Cygnus frowned as he leaned over the pond, looking at the angry child glaring back up at him. His mohawk had recently been trimmed and fixed up, so it was looking good and he was actually happy with the appearance he cut in his sailor scout uniform. It was not the most intimidating suit, like a little kid scarecrow, but hey. He still had super powers, and he was getting used to the yellow.
He was frowning mostly because that was his general rest face, and he found it easier than looking happy.
It was not his reflection that had drawn his attention to the pond, though. He was on patrol through the park, nearly empty at this hour, and thought he heard the water plop. Thinking it might be a frog like youma of some sort, or possibly just a normal, but equally as cool, frog, he deviated from his path to check it out.
At the moment, he had lost track of the source of the splash, and was trying to see through the dark water and spot the shape of it. It could not be very large, which was exactly the kind of youma he liked finding. Those he was pretty sure he could beat.
Probably.

Hydra had picked the park because it wasn't terribly far from her house and it had a swing set.
She loved swing sets.
It probably wasn't the best idea to plant her butt on one of the better swings while she was out on patrol but - well, swinging felt like an excellent idea. Besides, she'd gotten into an argument with her pops earlier and it'd left her irritable. So, what better way to revolve irritation than to swing back and forth sort of aggressively.
And that was exactly what the young corrupt was doing when she felt an aura that wasn't her own. Hopping off the swing at the top of it's arc, the turquoise haired girl wandered towards the feeling.
She saw the boy and frowned, lips pouting and eyes narrowed before she stomped forward. As she grew closer, she attempted to sneak up behind him, palms out so she could potentially push him in the pond if he didn't notice her first.

The Chibi Senshi felt the strange aura approaching him, but found himself unable to move. He tensed, looking mortified at himself down in the water, and wanted so desperately to run that it almost hurt. His body, however, refused, and opted that instead of fight or flight, he would linger idly in between.
It was the worst.
He told himself he could turn around suddenly and catch the obvious assault by surprise. He would turn and kick his enemy as hard as he could right in the peeper, as all those videos with the over acting ladies told them to do in case of stranger danger. Whoever this guy was, he was going to be in trouble!
And then he was in the water.
"Ack!!" He gasped, splashing around in a panic before he realized it was so shallow he was just sitting and perfectly safe over the edge of the water. It did not get deep until further in, away from the banks, and even then it was not the largest body of water around. He looked back at the girl, it had to be a girl, that pushed him. "You big jerk!!!"

Hydra couldn't help but laugh, the sound bright as it bubbled out of her mouth, when her target fell and splashed about like he might drown. She'd known that the pond wasn't very deep, at least not at the edges where people were allowed to stand, but there was that mischievous tingle of delight that fluttered through her from his reaction.
"Oh come on," she said, rolling her eyes as she placed black gloved hands on her hips. "You gotta admit, it was a little bit funny."
Maybe it was a little mean, but he was one of them which meant that he was up to no good, clearly. "What are you doing just standing around staring at the pond like that? You were practically asking me to push you."

"That was not funny! And it's none of your business what I was doing! I'm not going to tell you anyway! You're a JERK!"
Cygnus climbed his way out of the pond, kicking his feet and waving his arms to try and get the water out of his clothes. He could power down and back up to dry off quickly, but of course with her standing there that was a really stupid idea. He was not going to let her know what his secret identity was!
What kind of super hero was dumb enough to do that?!
"You're one of those evil guys, aren't you? I'm going to fight you, then! I'm going to make sure you don't hurt any one! You big bully, you're not going to pick on anyone else just because you think you can!"
He was starting to learn how to talk the talk of the super hero he wanted to be, but the follow through was probably still a little lacking. He was a very scared little kid, and tended to run away when things got too tough. He was the Senshi of Fear, after all.

Hydra tilted her head, long locks of turquoise cascading over her shoulder like water, and her hands found her hips as she looked at him with a bit of smugness. He was soaking wet and she hadn't used her magic at all! It was satisfying.
"Puh-lease," she snorted, rolling her eyes. "You're the bad guy, duuuh."
That's what Aurostibite had told her and she'd seen what type of destruction they left in their wake, she wasn't going to let this kid cause any trouble.
"I'm here to keep you from causing trouble," she said, eyes narrowing slightly as she took a step back and spread her arms. "Hydra Strike!" The ground rumbled around her.

Hydra spreads her arms open and there is a low rumbling/vibration beneath her feet and water rises before her reaching a height of 8ft pushing forward and slamming down on her opponent. Hydra must allow time for the wave to rise before she releases it otherwise it will not be as effective. It takes approximately 20 seconds for the wave to reach full height.
If they are within 5ft of her, they will experience mild vibrations. If hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least one minute. The wave does not discriminate between allies and enemies, everyone is collateral damage.
Usage: 3 Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

Hydra strike?!
That sounds like the worst thing Cygnus had ever heard. Hydra?! The villainous group of pure evil guys in Captain America? No way! She was one of them! He knew that she wasn't, deep down, but it was easier to view the Negaverse, and his duties as a senshi, in terms he was close to. Comics were a large part of his life, and so being able to put a clear, villainous label on something helped him gather up his courage.
Oh, and he was being attacked. Right.
The ground was rumbling and he could tell she was powering up to do something he probably did not want her to do. The only choice he had was to respond in kind, with his own magic.
"Feel my fear!!" He yelled, holding out his hand. A burst of yellow smoke burst forward, though he was not quite sure if he was close enough for it to actually waft over to her or not.
Sailor Scout Attack: Feel My Fear Cygnus creates a cloud of smoke that evaporates in the air. The area around him becomes infected with this gas, which makes a person's body react like it is experiencing a strong dose of fear. The effect radius is immediately around Cygnus, branching out to about five feet in any direction, and lingers in the air for ten seconds before it vanishes. If breathed in, the effects of the gas last for up to twenty seconds.

Hydra had released her wave, pushing it towards the chibi, just as he released a counter-attack of his own. Due to the nature of her magic, she had no time or opportunity to even attempt to dodge the cloud. Not breathing hadn't occurred to her until it was too late. Her last intake of breath gave her a lungful of the smoke cloud and she started coughing as a result.
Until...
Oh. Oh.
Hydra felt a tingle of panic, fear, shivers crawling up and down her spine while the throat felt like it was closing off. Her palms were sweaty and her heartbeat erratic and offbeat. Turquoise eyes went wide and her entire body went rigid, paralyzed by what the corrupt could only surmise was artificial fear.
She forced her eyes closed, swallowed as hard as she could and struggled not to cry from the imaginary terror that crawled across her skin while her body refused to do anything but freeze and tense up and betray her.

Cygnus shut his eyes tightly as the wave she released at him hit him, expecting some kind of heavy damage. Everyone else seemed to have really cool attacks, after all, so he assumed he would be reduced to dust or something like that. Instead, he felt like he was socked by a wave of water, and it made his body feel heavy and water logged, worse than a simple fall into a fountain had done.
If his mom tried to make him take a bath tonight, it was NOT happening.
He hesitated, looking up from his own problems to see his magic had managed to reach her, and she seemed to be distracted by it. That was the perfect time to run, right? Right! Even though super heroes were not supposed to run away from bad guys....
Shutting his eyes tightly and accepting he was a coward for a moment, the young senshi of Fear launched himself at Hydra and slammed into her as hard as he could, hoping to knock her off balance before he struggled to run away, feeling slow and bogged down.

Her wave hit and inwardly, Hydra was jumping for joy or possibly pumping her fist into the air. So far, she was 3-0 when it came to successful hits. Unfortunately this was also the third instance of someone getting away after her wave got them.
But, as Cygnus threw himself at her and Hydra went down with a cry, there was nothing she could do about it. She was barely beginning to regain control of her fear-locked body, starting with her finger and toes but by the time she'd regained enough to sit up or even stand, her opponent had covered a considerable amount of distance.
Wincing as the shocks of hitting the ground, and the point of impact from Cygnus' tackle, trickled through her frame she attempted to sit up, body half twisted so she could follow his retreating form with her eyes.
"I'm not finished with you!" She called after him, shaking her fist as the runaway. She'd do better next time.

Cygnus pretended not to hear her, but he definitely believed her. She was going to come after him, and it was probably going to be a lot worse the next time they met. He was dreading that, and decided not to go back to this part of the park ever again.
That would mean they'd never cross paths again... right?
Probably?
He was not sure, but he hoped she could not tell what way he was running. He kept going, as fast as he could until his lungs started screaming at him and he was forced to stop. He could not feel any auras any more, but he was also no where near home. He was going to have to go back that way to get to his place... or he could find some other way...
It was very dark...
It was going to be a very long, very slow walk home.
